Our server was great. Sadly they were out of a lot of drinks so we went somewhere else
First time coming and it was a great experience.
My husband and I did the Rooftop Executive Chef brunch experience and it was great! Everything in the menu was delicious...the menu didn't disappoint at all, every meal in the menu was worth it!!! Everything portioned properly, it wasn't over-filling, it was just right! The day was perfect too because the weather was awesome to be in the rooftop, especially after the rainfall we've had for the past couple of months!Definitely will be coming back for dinner and/or happy hour, would love to see how the vibe is at night when the brunch was awesome!
Great modern hotel and location
Really lovely hotel, the location was fantastic, a short walk to the metro system, and great facilities nearby in terms of shops/Bars. The room itself was nice but not huge, definitely designed for a short stay as no real storage space in our room. The bathroom was amazing, with a fantastic shower. My only issue was the party going on in the next room to us on our last night which showed that the walls weren't particularly sounds proof. The guy on reception was fantastic and very helpful. My recommendation is that if you want to visit the speakeasy bar downstairs or the rooftop bar book in advance as they are very popular.
Low key nice brunch spot on a clear day.
Beautiful view, creative cocktails and good food.

Don't waste your money! Food is bad, drinks are trash & service was pathetic. Not worth the view.
The view is the only positive thing about this place.
Our waiter was odd & didn't know what he was doing. We were a party of 10. Our food came out at different times, so we did not eat dinner all together. Never got any refills, even though we asked. We asked about FIVE times for the bill & never got it! Asked another waiter about 3times for the bill STILL never got it! So we had to get up and look for a manager to pay, which was a huge inconvenience. Would never recommend this place to anyone. Food is bad, drinks are PACKED to the rim with ice, service sucks & over priced.
It's okay, don't think I'll be going back.
Had reservations, made us wait 20 min and it was empty (wonder why) and Menus where so dirty. Food was good had the chicken and waffles and the creama. Service at the table was good and attentive.
Spectacular views of downtown LA with classic American
Spectacular views of downtown LA with classic American cuisine. Gigantic burgers and great selection of drinks to set the tone and ambiance. Even if you're not staying at the hotel the staff is welcoming and it's a great stop to grab food during golden hour with friends. Stay Eatin!

I recently visited Rooftop Wayfarer, a rooftop bar and restaurant, and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. While the view from the rooftop was decent, I found the food and drinks to be overpriced, and the quality only mediocre. The drinks were okay, but not outstanding enough to justify the high prices.Despite these issues, I will say that the server we had was very friendly and provided good service. They were attentive and made sure we had everything we needed.Overall, I cannot recommend Rooftop Wayfarer due to the high prices and mediocre quality of the food and drinks. While the view and atmosphere of the rooftop were nice, they were not enough to make up for the overall experience. I hope that the restaurant management will take steps to address these issues and provide better value to their customers in the future.
Unfortunately we can't provide a positive review since this
Unfortunately we can't provide a positive review since this is the 2nd time we get charged more for food items than the price stated on the menu. Management Please update ur menus to reflect the correct price instead of trying to be sneaky and adding $1 or $2 more to the food items- thinking we wouldn't notice?& no - we did not substitute for anything so there was no need for extra charges. You tiny portions are already expensive
Excellent room in excellent location!
i absolutely loved my stay here. decent area, i never felt unsafe once. close walk to crypto.com arena in one direction and 7th street metro station and target in the other direction. i dont know what temperature lava those that complained about the water temp are used to, but i had to turn it down every shower. the iced coffee in the lobby cafe was excellent. a fridge would have been nice, but not a deal breaker for me. i will warn older travelers of the fact that the beds are very low to the floor. so those of a certain age or even hadicap may not do well with that. my room, 1009, was excellent and the bathroom was 25 out of 10 stars!
Not a bad stay but could be better
As a diamond I thought I would try something a bit different - is was a nice change - as the others mentioned. The rooms are small - no in room coffee was a bummer as most every hotel has this now and no place to put a suitcase - there is no closet just a hanging bar so at least you could have a luggage rack! Rooftop bar is nice and the speakeasy is ok when it’s open. I am sure this place gets busy in the summer with the rooftop area! Parking is a pain but that’s expected with a downtown location in a big city. I might stay again in the summer
Too many subpar (important) details
My wife and I were informed when we checked in that we were charged a $25 amenity fee and that since there were no amenities we would be given a $20 credit that we could use in their bar and/or restaurant. Hmmm! We did not plan to use either and fortunately I had the intestinal fortitude to ask that they simply remove the fee and they did. At 11pm the night of our one night stay we wanted to shower before going to bed. The water was less than lukewarm so I notified the front desk and though he promised to get back to me within 15 minutes with some kind of update he didn't so we went to bed hoping the water temperature would be adequate for a shower in the morning. It wasn't. Also that night we had to request drinking cups and an extra bath towel .. the room only had one towel and no cups. The empowered person at the front desk was kind enough to remove the $25 destination charge ... he looked for more charges to remove but the only charge left on our bill was the room charge and I guess discounting that was just not possible. The room was small but that was ok ... we were there to only sleep. But the decor is very industrial with a lot of exposed concrete and uncovered light bulbs with clear glass and glowing filaments ... not warm and cozy. Yes, it was clean. No dresser or luggage stand. One 2 square foot table, chest height next to the bed. Very nice shower but useless without adequately heated water. Pleasant and responsive staff. Window shades are light-blocking and do that extremely well.
Room was very nice and clean! The front fest attendants were very nice and helpful. The bar closes at ten but they have options of wine and beer to be purchased in the lobby after hours. Not a bad price either.
The establishment may not be worth the price but unique place and convenient
The place overpriced for what you receive and I will not complain about the size of the rooms but they do require a refresh and some TLC. Lots of great reviews on the rooftop but we waited for a good ten minutes after being seated with no service but the initial water (we were starved). The view is OK. The main floor lounge/eating area was unique and had a great vibe. The location is extremely convenient for those going to Staples Centre or Microsoft Theatre. I felt very safe waking back and forth. We may consider staying there again if I’m the area
Super cool hotel with a very cool vibe and look
I’ve stayed at the Wayfarer twice but this last time Mike at the front desk made my stay awesome! He offered a room upgrade at check in time and I’m so grateful he did, our view from our room was beautiful and very peaceful and quiet. Mike offered great customer service and was very friendly and welcoming thank you Mike! We will be back again for sure =)
Boutique,I don't think so
.destination charge confusing charged $100 a night but get a $25 voucher to use on food and drinks so you have to spend to get money back no damage to room you get$75 per night back.no wardrobe no water no tea and coffee bonus of being directly above a roof space with 100 air conditioning units so hardly any sleep.a nice tap wall in the lobby but no beers on tap all weekend so got charged $8 for a small can of beer.bums and homeless on every street corner.one elevator that was very busy servicing rooftop and basement bar customers, perhaps open the other elevator for hotel guests,it's been shut since early October. I certainly will not recommend this hotel to anybody

1/5 by B M.
After hearing such amazing things about this place, I couldn't wait to go. I heard they had this great 9 course brunch that included food and drink. I made reservations for myself and 4 other ladies. When we arrived , we were greeted by Elizabeth and she said we could have a seat while she made sure our table was ready . We got seated , umbrellas were moved around .... But I was still in the sun. I wasn't going to complain , after all.... I'm on the rooftop . As we're getting situated in our seating area , we see a table become available , which was fully shaded . We ask our server Adam , if it's possible to move to that table , in which he replies "let me check with the host" . Well, another group of ladies decided to ask Adam as well, if the table was available for them. We overheard them , but knew we had already asked . I'll save all the filler and just let it be known that a group of 5 POC women asked for a table , we were given excuse after excuse as to why the other group of WHITE women were given the table and they refused to let us speak with a manager. Then they sat us all in the same area , but only gave US the option of sitting in the back of the restaurant. At one point , our server Adam claimed to be a manager. At this point , we should have just left ..... because the experience was all downhill from there . It was hot , we were hungry and extremely thirsty, so we stayed . Our 9 course experience , was brought out 3 courses at a time. I believe everybody that was working that day , must of been servicing our table . Every time i looked up , there was a server eyeballing our table . To make it even worse , they told a big party that we were sitting at their table (and that party continued to look in our direction the remainder of our experience. A lady in a green dress looked at our table several times , came in the vicinity of our area a handful of times ...... she was part of the party that would be sitting at the table when we left . This broad even pressed the elevator button for us. Tell us to get the fuck out without telling us to get the fuck out. And since when do you asks guests to move to another table to pay the check ? When did servers start leaving checks their guests said they were not ready for??They dropped the ball in all aspects. If good food and discrimination is what you want , The Rooftop at The Wayfarer is the place to go.
Friendly staff, great location, uncomfortable & expensive rooms
2/5 by Ian V
I attended a conference with some friends / classmates and we booked a room with bunk beds as it seemed like a reasonably priced deal compared to other options within walking distance of the conference. The beds were very uncomfortable and had a soft mattress with very little support. There was no chair or place to sit in our room apart from on the beds. The staff at reception were very friendly, but I felt there needed to be more clarity on how to have the bathroom re-stocked, sheets changed, and towels replaced. The hotel is centrally located and very modern in appearance and decor, but the uncomfortable mattress just really decreased my experience - I've slept on far better mattresses at hostels for a fraction of the price. Also, the hotel staff indicated we would get a $25 credit each day for use in the hotel restaurants, but I'm glad I double checked the bill as they forgot to give me the credit for one of the days. The rooftop bar is quite nice though the drinks are fairly expensive. I would consider staying in a regular room if I travelled here again, but I hope they will replace the mattresses on the bunk beds.
The experience we had at The Rooftop is deserving of zero
The experience we had at The Rooftop is deserving of zero stars but in order to write the review, I have to give at least one star. I've been to the rooftop brunch before so I knew exactly what to expect. What was unexpected was the blatant mistreatment by our server, Adam, and the hostess, Emma. Totally disrespectful, inconsiderate, and discriminatory. Our party of 5 was seated at a table in the sun then noticed a party leaving from a shady area of the restaurant. We immediately asked our server if we could move to the shaded table. He left to ask the hostess and in the meantime, the party seated next to us asked their server to move to the exact same table. For clarification, we asked first. The person in their party that requested the move wasn't there when we asked for the table. She arrived after our request, noticed the shaded area then asked their server. Although we asked first, we were denied the table and lied to about why we were denied the table. Adam told us the party seated next to us had reserved the table. How is that possible if they were already seated and we heard them request the table after we requested it? LIE! Then Adam told us it was because their party was bigger. LIE! They were a party of 6, we were a party of 5. ONE person does not make that much of a difference. Then we were told that the other party made "accommodations". What does that even mean??? They simply did not want to give us the table and wanted to give it to the other party. I don't want to make this racial but we were a party of 5 women of color, and the party that was granted the table were NOT people of color. They accomodated us by seating us at a table for 15 that was due to arrive at 1pm, it was 12:30 when we were seated. Our 9 course meal was served 2-3 courses at a time, which made us feel very rushed and anxious. Then to top off the horrible experience, we were given the bill and asked by the hostess to move from the table because they needed it for another party. We were all holding cash in our hands to pay the bill when she asked us to move out of the way. It was beyond obvious we were preparing to pay and leave but Emma would not leave and would not stop telling us to move from the table. The party that was given the table we originally requested was not asked to leave, nor were any other guests, so why did we have to leave so abruptly? Discrimination maybe? Or maybe just really, really, poor customer service and management. We asked for the manager and Adam said he was the manager. LIE! With a total bill of $500+ you would think we could have stayed a few more minutes to finish our last drink but we were not so lucky. IT WAS AWFUL ON SO MANY LEVELS!!! There are so many other, much better, and more delicious rooftop brunches you can enjoy. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!
I was excited to visit The Rooftop at The Wayfarer! When I
I was excited to visit The Rooftop at The Wayfarer! When I first walked in the hotel it was such a pleasant ambiance! Lobby smelled amazing and the gentleman there was very welcoming. I thought to myself, 'Oh its about to be lit!' Arriving to the top floor! First thought 'Owww it's a little hot up here'! Nevertheless I knew the experience would make the heat worth it! Ouch! I was wrong. After arriving to my seated party everyone looked distressed! They brought me up to date how we were discriminated against not stating in which way but provide the scenario and you decide. In short my party of 5 POC woman asked for a table that was free. Then shortly after a party of 6 woman non POC asked for that same table while already seated. Unfortunately, instead of acting ethically they gave the table to the the latter party of 6. Denying my party stating the latter party asked first. How? When my party heard the latter party asked after them. Then Adam our server/ manager stated that they asked first and that they had a larger party. So you decide what type of discrimination we were given. Out of convenience the sat us at a table of 15 party that had reservations at 1pm and it 12:30pm. Nice right wrong!Next, after the bumpy start we tried to smooth things out and just enjoy the 9 course adventure because that's what we really came for. Also, people are human and sometimes drop the ball. Unfortunately , that's didn't happen either they brought out our courses 2-3 at a time making us feel rush and not able to enjoy the full experience. Finally, after given the bill Elizabeth our hostess with the mostest walks up and asked us to move while we have money in our hands to pay the bill. She says that the other party want to be seated. Ha! Really! So our bill of $500+ is nothing? My finally thought is Let's do better! Always remain ETHICAL over anything! Please get some fans or water mist device for elevate the heat a bit! My Advice STAY AWAY until they get some act right! Spending $100 on a breakfast brunch and feeling like regretful after ain't worth it! To my POC support your own and build up where you can!
To whom it may concernI hope this message reaches you well.
I wanted to reach out to you regarding my visit / experience on August 7th, 2022. I want to start by saying the food was delicious and my hat is off to the chef. We originally found you restaurant on Tik Tok, we had some friends visit your restaurant a few months ago and decided because some of us had never been including myself, it would be a great place for a lady's brunch. The experience my party and myself had with your staff was unprofessional at the Least. Myself and 3 out of the 4 women in my party arrived at the restaurant about 12:10pm our reservations were at 12:15pm. The hostess confirmed all five would be dinning and we were asked to sit until our table was ready. There were two women seated on the opposite couch waiting to be seated during this time. The hostess seated these women first and then we were seated. While the hostess seated us, we noticed there was a lot of sun at our table and the umbrella did not cover the table which left one of the women in our party in the sun. The hostess attempted to adjust the umbrella, but she was unsuccessful and walked away. A table in the corner with plenty of shade became available. The rest of the party for the women that were seated before us arrived and Adam the waiter came over to greet us , during Adams greeting our table asked could we be moved to the table with shade in the corner , Adam states he would need to ask the hostess , during this time one of the women in the party behind us stated she had "skin allergy to the sun" jokingly and that there was too much sun where they were seated and walks over to the hostess ( now I can relate to this as we just had the same issue ).The women from the other party walk back and so does Adam (waiter). Adam states the women that were seated at the table prior to us already had the area we asked for reserved, now you can only imagine how perplexed we were at the bold face lie Adam just told us as they were seated prior to us at a table behind us. (This poses the questions: if the table was reserved by them why weren't they seated there to begin with).Immediately we ask to speak to manager and Adam stated he was the manager and that he could accommodate us by moving us to the back of the restaurant. Immediately I asked for someone above Adam, and he stated there was no one else available. Adam (the manager/waiter) says he would go see what else he can do and returns with his options from the hostess for our table. We could be moved to the back of the restaurant, or we could be moved to a 15-party area which had more shade, neither option was provided to the other party of women who already had been seated.Seating five people at an area sized for 15 people didn't seem to make sense as that would slow revenue for the restaurant, but this was the option the staff came up with. Of course, we did not want to move to the back of the restaurant, so we were moved to the oversized area for our party of 5 ... when we were moved to this area, we were told there was a large party arriving @ 1 pm and we were being seated at 12:30pm. We asked would we be rushed and were told by Adam; he would handle it.There was five of us and we each ordered your 9-course menu and additional drinks which brought our bill to 500 plus dollars... each of our courses came out 3 at a time (I'm sure this wasn't because your staff was attempting to save time on our stay and of course it wasn't due to large party that had a reservation at 1pm right?). The wait staff kept coming to look over our table to see if there were any way things could be moved along (again this isn't a form of being rushed right?)Now after a rough start and a rushed meal, as we were preparing to pay the hostess Elizabeth came over to our table and asked us blatantly could we move because she had a large party to be seated there. Here we are confused again the table of women that were seated in the area we asked for first was not asked to move, but we were being asked to move? When Elizabeth came over, we had cash in hand to pay for our meal and exit the restaurant. We explained to Elizabeth the hostess we would be moving as soon as we could put the money down for the bill, she then proceeds to asks can we complete the bill at another table, I am not in the food industry, but I am sure she could have spared a few more moments! to allow us to complete the transaction without us having to move all our things. My group was a group of women of color who all come from professional backgrounds and instead of being treated with respect, we were lied to and asked to move to the back of your restaurant so that a group of women not so ethnically diverse could sit in the area we asked for first. not even an apology was given from the staff based on what happened. Thank you for taking the time out to read my message.

Enjoyed our dinner here at The Rooftop :) Chris was so attentive and sweet , food was great and the drinks were fire ! Reservations highly recommended (:
I got the steak and sweet potato mashed potatoes and the steak was burnt. The mashed potatoes were pretty good. But not worth $80. The drinks were average. Personally I don't think it's anything special. The views aren't that worth it. I personally will not be going back.

Great place for food or drinks! Nice view and from my experiences, very good and attentive servers. The view of LA is nice, not a high rooftop but still nice. Worth checking for a date or to celebrate a bday.

Rico our server, poor service! No class and customer service. this place. needs better employees with better quality customer service.
My steak was very chewy. We also had a brussel sprout and pork belly dish that was chewy. Service was a little slow...we had to walk over to them to ask for the check at the end . Overall the experience was too mediocre to return.
Nice stay customer service at end upped their rating
I was in town for the MLB All Star Game. Location could not have been better for the ancillary activities and a quick Uber ride to dodger stadium. I felt the communication of their fees could have been explained better and follow up on their scheduled room cleaning but overall I had a nice stay. The food in the hotel was very good. No gym but they did offer an 8 am exercise class which I took advantage of once during my three night stay (it was Yoga). The instructor was very good. As I was checking out, the front desk person who I presumed was a supervisor or a manager made some adjustments to my bill without me asking after I told him of the things that could have been better which I very much appreciated. I would return to this hotel if I needed to stay in downtown LA again…
I love, love , love this establishment! The service and
I love, love , love this establishment! The service and food was amazing . My friends and I got so many things , I truly can't even remember all of the names. I will be back for the view and the entrees.
Don't be fooled by 'boutique'
Wayfarer Downtown LA describes itself as a boutique hotel but this is just another way of saying awful. This is without a doubt the worst hotel my husband and I have ever stayed in and we have stayed in some dives before. Upon arrival we were actually greeted by polite and friendly staff, it started off initially well but it didn't take long until we hit our first issue. Upon arrival we were informed of a tourist tax which was over a hundred dollars, an expensive tax but we were fine to pay it as we understood this was the case in a lot of places. They were keen to push that the charge included the cost of the Wifi, $25 credit each day towards food and drink in the hotel and fitness classes in the morning. Then they informed us that they were also going to hold $400 from our card that we provided them with until the end of our stay in case we incurred any additional charges. So kind of them to basically take the rest of our holiday spending money and leave us with only the cash in our pockets for the rest of the trip - not a good start. We then headed up to our room, the lobby area is lovely, well designed and open so we were looking forward to getting to our room but we were vastly disappointed. Our room was the bare necessities plus a stupidly designed bathroom. There was nothing in the room other than a bed and odd bedside tables. You don't get a wardrobe, safe, fridge. There is a frosted glass panel between the bathroom and bedroom, so if your partner goes to the toilet in the middle of the night you immediately get woken up. It is great.... During our stay, the Wifi that we were told was paid for as part of the tourist tax continuously didn't work. We were often thirsty in the room overnight due to heat/air conditioning however with no glasses provided or fridge to put a drink in this was a challenge. We did go to the bar in the lobby one evening to ask for some bottles of water for our room to which we were told we could't have any - just not something they provide and advised us to go to the Seven Eleven across the street instead. On top of this, they don't provide daily room service unless requested, not even just a quick pop in to empty the bin bags. We informed the staff of our experiences on the way out and they did apologise and said they would refund the tourist tax as a gesture of goodwill. But of course, here we are over a month later with no sign of any sort of refund. This felt particularly like rubbing salt in the wound. We don't write a lot of reviews but we felt we needed to inform others of this awful stay and advise you to steer clear of this hotel if you can. Although a lovely and modern designed hotel, with friendly staff, the practicality and way it is run overshadows it, equaling in an overall unpleasant stay.
Looks good but in fact not
Spent 2 days with my daughters beginning of july. Room are small but well equiped. Seems that windows are made of plastic, so it's noisy Shower without hot water in a first room, Ok with a second one. You have to spend 25$ per day in addition of the room price, use it or not they will charge you anyway. To summarize, they really overestimate their quality
Hotel is apparently very poorly managed. Quick factual list of all the things wrong with my stay: - My room was filthy upon check in. There was hair all in the shower and left over soap bar from previous guest still in the shower. - Rooms are super small and not clearly depicted in online images. No basic things like iron, suitcase rack and the phone doesn’t work in the room. I found this out when I tried to call about the hair in the tub. - I had to go downstairs to ask for my room to be cleaned and for clean towels. The receptionist told me you have to put in a 24hour request for room service and I never received the clean towels to my room. The in room AC is also really noisy. Please don’t be fooled by the catfish-ish pictures of this hotel online. The rooftop is ok but there are much better rooftops and hotels in LA. This ain’t it.
The Wayfarer has a lot going for it. The location is close to the Convention Center (10 minutes walk), and there are many good restaurants and attractions nearby to fill out a business trip lasting a few days. I was able to walk to Little Tokyo, Walt Disney Auditorium, MOCA, Angel's Flight, the Last Bookstore, the Central Library, St. Vincent Court, LA Live, the Broad, Bunker Hill steps... there is a lot to do in DTLA. There's good food and drink in the lobby, and a rooftop restaurant and bar with the best views in the city. The rooms are appealing in a boutique kind of way, meaning they are smaller than normal hotel rooms, no-frills, but have creative touches (no closet but there are pegs on the wall; there's a desk but it's at stand-up height, or you can sit on a provided bar stool). There are great plug-ins, the bathrooms are well equipped, and the Wifi is good. I thought the bed was comfortable. The room lighting and atmosphere create a downtempo vibe, quite relaxing. Between the first time I stayed there right before the pandemic and the second, I felt the rooms took a bit of a beating; on my 2nd visit some of the drawers were off their rails and the bathroom seemed just a bit more grimy than I would like. I noted a couple additional issues, some of which could be addressed. The staff is friendly but I want them to banish the irritating phrase "Welcome in." How about just "Welcome," or... "Hello"? They were using some kind of strong floral scent in the lobby. It didn't get into the rest of the hotel, but it discouraged me from spending time downstairs. There was a day when I was counting on grabbing a croissant before my conference, but they randomly did not have any food available at breakfast. The other issue is that because the restaurant serves the general public, and the rooftop seems to be especially popular, there are tons of potentially loud and intoxicated people going in and out all the time, including in the guest elevators. You use your room key to access your floor, but with all the traffic, it does not feel all that private. There is a complementary 5 pm beer pour, which is cool, but the bartender seemed unclear on whether that's a daily benefit or once per stay. Seems like it should be pretty clear. Later I determined there's a daily amenity fee so it should be a daily beer. Out of a four night stay, there was only one day that I was present in the 5 pm hour anyway, so I didn't bring it up with the desk staff. (I still had to pay the fee every day.) Maybe, since the guests are paying, let them use the beer coupons any time the bar is open? And give them one per day if the barkeep is going to collect them? An amazing speakeasy has been installed in the basement, but it was never open for business during the hours I was at the hotel. Seems like a lost opportunity to pick up some late-night business. I tried sitting down there to do work on my computer but was told to leave. As an idea, they could turn it into a guests-only space at night to make up for all the traffic in the lobby. I'd return to the Wayfarer DTLA next time. It seems like a bit of a canvas where there could be some cool changes made. I might also be interested in seeing what you get in this part of town if you spend a bit more money.
I was gaslit by a staff member
1/5 by Alex
On my first night in this hotel, I was woken up at around 7 in the morning by two women having an extremely loud conversation in the room next to mine – even though I always sleep with earplugs on. I called the front desk and told them that two guests were being loud and that I couldn’t sleep because of it. The woman who answered my call said she’d send someone to tell them to keep it down. Nothing changed so I called back a while later and she said that the man she sent told her that he couldn’t hear anything unless he put his ear up to the door. I said that was insane because I could clearly hear the conversation from my bed and even more so when I slightly opened the door; there is just no way that anyone walking in the hallway wouldn’t have heard it. She remained quiet and I added “do you want me to take a video in the hallway?” just to prove that I was not lying and that what she said didn’t make any sense. I really don’t appreciate being gaslit by the hotel I’m staying in; I paid good money to be here and this employee is literally telling me that what I know to be true is somehow not. Their job should be to make sure I’m having a comfortable stay, not to deny reality! Anyway, she said she didn’t want me to take a video and told me that she’d go up herself along with the man she sent originally. A few minutes later, I heard knocking on a door, and the guests did lower their voices after that. I was able to go back to sleep until my phone rang a few minutes later. It was this same woman from the hotel telling me she told them to keep it down but that they weren’t fighting, they were just having a normal conversation. Ok? First of all, I never said they were fighting, I said they were being loud. Second, what does it matter if they were fighting or not? You can have a loud conversation or an argument at a reasonable volume, the point is that they should not be speaking so loudly. Third, they had already been told to lower their voices AND THEY DID, which enabled me to go back to sleep – so why are you waking me up with a phone call? I just saw this as more gaslighting, another opportunity to tell me that what she believed to be my version of the events wasn’t true – even though I clearly said “two guests are being loud” and never “two guests are fighting.” Needless to say, I will not be staying here again! I will say this, though: Milenia from the front desk was very friendly and helpful. I don’t remember the name of the employee that handled my call that day, but I interacted with Milenia when I checked in and when I checked out, and she was great. Edit: It has now been a week since I was there and I have not gotten my deposit back. This place truly cannot be any worse.

We were staying at the Wayfarer and decided to stop by on our last night. The little set-up on the rooftop is so cute! Even though it was windy, they had blankets to share with customers. We sat at the bar and Mark made me 2 drinks. He was a good balance of chatty but not too chatty, allowing space for if we wanted to talk more we could, but not expecting it. He checked in with us regularly and asked about the drinks, he even made me a surprise drink based on my allergies that was better than the drink I ordered from the menu (ha). It was a fun time, the staff were very chill and down to earth. I felt comfortable hanging out there and would go back. Shout out to Mark for his thoughtfulness!
This rooftop bar has amazing downtown L.
A. views. The drinks are delicious and the food options are spectacular! Loved this place

Although the eats & drinks were all a hit, my girls and I still left hungry after dropping a few hundo. We were a group of 5 and were charged a 20% auto gratuity. (I didn't see this charge stated anywhere on the menu, or, their website)The rooftop cityscape view is great and the relaxed seating has enough heating coverage to keep you comfy. The overall service & wait time was subpar. Our waiter appeared to be having a bad day. The amount of negative energy was evident. The menu is limited but diverse. Food quality, flavor, presentation was wonderful, but it took about an hour to get to our table which is not acceptable. Our Dishes: Crudo, Pork Belly, Ahi tartare, Thai noodles, Elote, hummus. Our Drinks: Chardonnay bottle, LA girl, Tai hardWill I go back... maybeee?? But there's many other roof top bars/restaurants in L.A. to choose from first.

The Yang to my Ying and I needed a rooftop brunch spot and I chose this one. Good choice! We were pleased. We opted for The Brunch Experience which is $70 per person, and 9 courses. The website says 10 but it was 9. Three of the 9 courses are adult beverages. Sizes are small but again, it's 9 - well, 6 courses of food. We left with no regrets and needed naps haahaa. The staff was fantastic from the hostess with a great attitude to our waitress who wasn't supposed to be our waitress. They were all fabulous people! The views were nice and the seating was comfy. The restroom was cozy though it was odd having the sinks outside. Different but it worked! The hotel from the outside looks run-down and abandoned like most of DTLA but once the doorman, yep, there's a doorman, opens the door, whoa! What is this place? The inside is adorable. Then you take the elevator to the roof and whoa, another dimension of decor. I can totally see myself returning here. Reservations are definitely a must because once the crowd starts, uh oh. I can only imagine the wait. This restaurant is nowhere near big soooo yeahhhh, I encourage reservations in the 11 a.m. hour if possible.

This place is amazing!! Mark was a phenomenal bartender and server. Manny's drink menu is simply amazing! Highly recommend this place for food, drinks, view, atmosphere, everything!
Made reservations here.
Took like 20 minutes to get seated... once we got seated the servers would keep passing our table and wouldn't even approach us, would look at our table and keep walking. Until we finally said something! And they finally got to put in our order. Took about 45 mins. Me and my husband also felt profiled because they probably thought we didn't have money so we didn't have great service at all and we were their last priority. also when we got seated it was night time and they sat us where it was cold no heater so I asked nicely if we can move to a different table when I seen it was empty. Again they took forever to even get back to us next thing you know someone els took the table .Then another couple sat next to us and they had just got there, and I heard the lady ask if they can sit somewhere els and they moved them right away! So that really pissed me off worst night ever. I wouldn't recommend going here. there is definitely nicer rooftop views and nicer staffs for a better experience.

10/10 , the view was amazing, food was good and I would definitely come back here!, just need to plan a bit ahead of time
Great atmosphere, we had great attentive service.
Wonderful view, comfortable seating. I had the salmon with rice. It was nicely cooked and seasoned but the portion was small, and there were no veggies on the plates. Really needs a nice side of broccoli or anything!! Would go back for the experience and view.
