The bread was awful - no flavor and then the Rigatoni a la Vodka was the weirdest flavor - sesame seeds in it??? Bizarre. The pasta itself was very chewy and the sauce extremely salty. I wouldn't eat here again. My son couldn't even finish his plain spaghetti with butter because it was so salty. Waste of 140$ the only good thing was our waiter who was super sweet and attentive.

We made a reservation for 4 on a Sunday afternoon and thank god we did because while the place had amble tables, it was packed! I got the buttermilk pancakes and it was so decadent but delicious!! It was just enough that I was very satisfied and full without feeling guilty afterwards. My 2 friends got the smith eggs Benedict and it was also delicious but they both complained about the home fries being a little salty but it might just have been unevenly tossed. Overall the food was great and we really enjoyed the time there. If there is one complaint, it would be the price being a little higher than other brunch places.

Another brunch aka my fave meal! Super busy on the weekends but staff manages to give excellent customer serivce. Mimosas are a great ratio. All food tried was excellent. The pancakes have an itlaian cookie flavor to them which I loved. I got the BLT E which is served in a crossiant. Classic NY brunch spot.

I enjoyed the Mac and cheese. The burger is solid. You can't go wrong with any of the dishes. It's nice and clean. If you are looking for a good restaurant in midtown area. Check it out. They have other locations in the city too.

We had just checked into our hotel and wanted a bite nearby so we stopped at The Smith. We were sat immediately when we walked in and loved the atmosphere - the music is amazing! We highly recommend the Cucumber Ginger Beer, that is made in house, and the Shrimp and Grits. The appetizers portions were small but the entrees were large. The entire team was very attentive and checked in frequently. We highly recommend for brunch and will be returning for happy hour!

I expected MUCH more. After reading the reviews and word of mouth, I was excited to eat here. For a restaurant with this volume of customers, the prices, location, etc. I should have had high expectations. I was let down. The food was ... Okay. Definitely not great. The service was good, better than the food. Sadly, after paya huge bill for 6 people, I left feeling quite unhappy. I gave them 3 Stars due to our Server and his diligence.

I've visited the Smith a number of times and it never disappoints. I absolutely love the smith and enjoy their brunch the most. The food is so yummy and enjoyable. The French Vanilla French Toasts was delicious and for those who enjoy savory foods the eggs Benedict are *chefs kiss* amazing! It's never too loud but is frequently just so definitely make a resy!! If you're in Manhattan definitely go and try it out! It won't disappoint!

What a lovely place. We arrived from the UK a few days ago, and this is the best food (and service) we’ve had since we arrived. We were recommended to go here by another local business and we were not disappointed at all. The waiting staff were so lovely, as was the food.

Our office stopped by for a last minute lunch we had our rsvp & were seated maybe 10 minutes after we arrived. Drinks to start Beer , wine & Sangria all decent. No appetizers, I Had the Ghonic pasta , it was ricotta ghonic w truffle oil it was very good only complain was it didn't have a lot of truffle taste. The Shrimp tartagelle pasta was very good, so were the Burger w fries , Chicken sándwich & Caesar salad w Salmon all decent choices. For desert we tried the Apple pie , nice & warm it was very good. Nice big place, service was good & prices are a bit on the high side but doable we had an enjoyable lunch.

Bartender attitude adjustment needed

We had our office luncheon yesterday. Before the lunch a few of us headed to the bar for drinks. It was 2:50pm, so the bartender would not give us the happy hour prices that started at 3pm which was fine. The bar was empty. This bartender had a bad attitude from the start which was noticeable to all of us. We did not like the drinks, and at the table the waitress, who was great, informed me that I could get a different drink. I had drank a little bit of the current drink when I returned it. The bartender obviously new it was us, and returned a drink that was half full. We couldn't believe it. We felt we were being punished for returning a drink that we didn't care for. Anyway the food was good and our waitress was great.

Went for Thanksgiving Dinner while in Manhattan for the holiday. The drinks were delicious and we really enjoyed all the food. Jason our server did an excellent job. Highly recommended this location and when my wife and I come again to Manhattan we will return to try their regular menu.

Visited this place with friends and it was highly touted. Sat outside and the heaters were on… like a sauna I tell you…service was good…. Food was just fair….. burger was very so so… wife was happy with the pot pie…. Might go back….

We have had lunch, dinner and even just stopped in for a drink during happy hour at The Smith. Although the food did not blow us away, the service, quality of food and drinks is always consistently good and why we go back. If you go for dinner, especially over the weekend it is worth booking as it gets busy.

My wife invited our daughter and couple of friends for dinner. Our server was excellent, I think his name is Bobby. The food was great. It is the first time I find a Mac & Cheese served at a fine restaurant and really tastes delicious. My order was a rib-eye and it was so good. Price is mid range. The restaurant was a little noisy but this is expected in NY restaurant, right -:) We made reservations and we did not have to wait once arrived. The overall experience was excellent.

I booked this meal for my son’s 23rd birthday in NewYork as part of our 5 day trip from the UK. I mentioned in writing on the reservation that it was a special occasion and named my son. When we arrived for our reservation I made a point of restating that it was my son’s birthday. The evening progressed , the food was good. The waiter was fairly attentive. I found it strange that servers were coming out with food and had no knowledge of the tables they were serving. This meant that theses servers were going down the line of tables with our food before we could get their attention that it was ours. When they did come to our table a member of our party who is vegan was handed a steak! The waiters were not serving the food which was odd. There was absolutely no mention or reference to our special occasion which was disappointing to say the least. I didn’t expect much but anything would have been nice. A wasted opportunity to show some nice service. So on the whole ok food, not great service. I’m sure you can do better, The Smith.

My friend took me to brunch at The Smith. Reservations apparently are a must. Nice place. Solid service. The food was outstanding, especially the Eggs Benedict that included thinly shaved Black Forest ham on yummy bread slices. Delish!

This is a very popular place and it’s not difficult to see why. We ate here our first night in New York. We only had snacks/starters but everything was good, particularly the Mac and cheese. Service was prompt and friendly. There was a good selection of wines though prices seemed high.

I've been here several times, mostly with my wife or by myself. This time with my wife and two teens; it was too loud for easy family convo. The service was lacking, but the food was super. Every bit of every dish tasted great: bibimbap, fries, rigatoni, short ribs, burrata (was was kinda like a caprese), brussel sprouts, kale quinoa salad. Our waiter was apologetic and comped the screw ups (got one order wrong and the fix came out very late in the meal, waited long for water refills).It costs a lot to eat out, the food here was great, as it should be. If they got the service right this time, as has been my past experiences, I'd give it 5 stars.

Had lunch meetings here on consecutive days while in the City on business.

The salads are excellent; both Kale and Caesar. Both salads were nice sized portions and with the added protein a good lunch. I really enjoyed the Brussel Sprouts. One of my colleagues enjoyed the veggie burger. Restaurant can be a bit loud, plenty of light which for lunch is great.

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

Best Answer It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

Best Answer Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

Best Answer Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Best Answer Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

What happens if my bid expires unanswered?

Best Answer Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
