Love the vibes here most of all, grab a beer, try a few different cuisines and enjoy the view of the water. Loved the fish and chips, especially with a lemon squeeze, though the portion is smallish. Indian food would recommend as well, definitely more filing. A bit out of the way but worth the trek, especially if with friends.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent food hall.
They have quite a variety of food. We went for Indian and Scandinavian. Both were tasty! Lots of indoor and outdoor seating!

The winner: spinach and blue cheese pierogi from the Polish stand. Kind of unusual for pierogi filling, but it worked. The loser: Sichuan noodles from the hand-pulled noodles place. I'm picky about this dish because I've had it all over China, but because I've had it all over China, I also recognize that it can be made very differently in different places and still be good. This was different... and bad. It was as though they'd forgotten to cook the too-thick noodles, and then slathered them in ONLY numbing spice, no other kind. Also, with thick noodles, you need oil so they don't just stick to the roof of your mouth, and they definitely didn't use enough.I enjoyed my rhubarb soda - in general I wish my home country took as much advantage of rhubarb as Scandinavia seems to.

Defo have the polish dumplings!!! Super delicious and the dressing / toppings are excellent. All The orders are taken using a QR code digital payment and you get a text when your food is ready. Pretty handy considering you can grab a drink and rest while the food is being prepared. The Greek food was very delicious too

While exploring Norway, my friends and I happened to stumble across this gem while appreciating the beautiful views the Norwegian waterways had to offer. *They were so beautiful that I made sure to include a picture.* It just so happened that the Vippa was located right off the water near where we were walking. It's industrial style building and bumping music gave us some cool vibes. We knew we had to check it out. This place is very expansive inside and I really enjoyed how it was set-up. Along three of the walls there are numerous food trucks offering options from all cultures. It was enjoyable to walk around and see all the options. Plus, the majority of trucks were translated in English, so no difficulty with translating here!I ended up ordering some boiled shrimp and let me tell you, they were the freshest, most tasty shrimp I've ever eaten. They paired the seafood with some toasty bread and a light aioli for dipping. All in all, this was a great foodie experience in Norway!

Chill location right next to the water with a cool warehouse hipster vibe given that everyone's just trying to relax. Unfortunately the prices are definitely Oslo-priced for what I think should be more affordable food given the street-food vibe. I was surprised how packed it was given it's at the end of the dock and that we only reached the place after riding our bikes for some time. Would much rather go back to Mathallen which has more interesting food at the price point and has more space for you to relax.

A friend from Olso brought me here for lunch. It was a great choice because we could each order different things if we wanted and it was perfect to sit outside, looking at the water. We met while we were living in Asia so it was funny that we both ended up choosing the same dish at Tunco, which was pretty authentic and delicious (and we know, because we lived there!). We grabbed flavored sodas from the drink bar and sat outside. It was a Saturday at lunchtime but it was pretty uncrowded. Perhaps it was because we were early because the tables outside started to fill up as we prepared to leave. I would definitely come back and try the other stands because there is a good selection here and the overall atmosphere is also very cool.

This is such a fun spot to have dinner and a beer out by the water. We lucked out this week and had warm weather so could sit outside with our meal and people watch. The sushi bowls are fabulous and the place has so much Norwegian character.
Be the first to ReplyNice selection of food stands.
Excellent view of the sunset. Had the dumplings from Kinabolle--delicious. The Ho Chi Minh bowl from Tunco was very good as well. Don't come expecting a fancy setup. Come for the fun vibe and good selection of food pop ups. Skol!
Be the first to ReplyVery cool place.
Basically a warehouse with foodtrucks lining the inside perimeter, only they aren't vehicles. lol The vibe is definitely hipster/festival/casual. Prices were about what you'd realistically expect for Oslo... not terrible, though. We went on a Sunday and were surprised to see only one or two vendors were closed. Getting there was a bit awkward and silent but the inside was lively enough. LOVED that each vendor lists top allergens on their menu displays. (Is that a Norwegian thing? We didn't eat out much.)

This is among the coolest places I've been to lately and definitely the coolest and best food court I've ever been to. The place is an old warehouse building with a lot of foodtruckish stand that ll serve dishes from different places in the world. Italian, Thai, Chinese, American, Middle east and so on. And in the middle is the tables and the seats so all could sit together even if you want different dishes. Great selection and but I tried the duck burger which where amazing and the fries with oregano which where to much oregano but okay. The duck truly where real great. However, the experience in it self and the selection made me just want to come back. They also have a pretty cool outside area just by the water where you can enjoy the amazing view. Its cool setting, perfect for lunch and brunch or just something to eat spontaneously. Its affordable among the best prices I've seen in Oslo for this kind of food so highly recommends it!

Love this place - this food hall just opened this year and it has both indoor and outdoor seating. Different food stands to choose from, a bar, and free tap water (right by the bar) if you don't want to spend much on drinks.Affordable prices for Oslo too. I got the vegan noodles from the WOK stand (120NOK), a friend the pulled duck sandwich, and the two others went to the mexican stand. We all loved our food! Will definitely be back.

Vippa was just as cool as I expected it to be. Lots of different options for food and drinks. I had the pulled duck sandwich and it was delicious! You could really spend all day here eating and drinking just looking at the ocean in the sun. Definitely recommend checking this place out!

Amazing down to earth place that has a great vibe and decent selection of food.A hipster style food stalls inside with Norwegian priced drinks. Nothing special about the drinks but just the enough for a simple drink in the sun. Get there early as there are limited number of seats and it's not allowed to sit on the water front. But outdoor seating is so close to the water front. Great atmosphere. Food is tasty but abit overpriced for what you get.
