Food was fine.
.. service unreal slow.. 3 tables but the food took forever!!! Serverwas dismissive about food taking so long and once we did receive it he never checked back with us( Raphael) . Snuck inside for a shot of tequila at the bar.. was ignored. I guess my money isn't green enough! Don't waste your time for average food

We came on Friday night with reservations and opted to seat at the bar. The place is a nice size and great for small parties or even date night. I ordered the mezcal flight which was ok in enjoyed 2 of the 3. They had a special going 3 courses for $30. I started off with the shrimp quesadilla, which was delicious. Right amount of cheese to meat ratio. Main course was 3 tacos i ordered 2 pork and 1 shrimp both were very good. The did battered shrimp and it was light and crispy. The pork was juicy and seasoned. For dessert they put a scoop of vanilla ice cream over churros tip with cinnamon and sugar crisp. It's a tasty cute treat to end the meal. The bartender was excellent and was honest about meal questions. The rest of the staff also seemed pleasant and help. I had a good time!!
Be the first to ReplyI am sad that this place went downhill for me.
I was here a couple of times last year, and the service and food were excellent! This time I made a reservation for five people; once we entered, the host and waitress made surprised faces cause they gave our table to others; the only table that could comfortably fit five people they gave to a party of three! So they put together two tables, and one from our company was sitting in the passageway. I was very disappointed and was very vocal about it. Then we started ordering, and our waitress ( even though she repeated the order of entrees a couple of times) forgot to give us nachos, then went to the back of the room and started discussing us with the host or manager, whoever that was, looking our direction, at least she should have done it less evident that she is not happy with us. For the main course, we had tacos. The taste was decent, but the brisket had too much fat. Otherwise, I cannot complain much. The drinks were good; if we are not talking about the house margarita, their cocktails are great, the only positive of this place.

I understand this is New York but I'm from San Diego and we have expensive Mexican food. This place is a little over the top. Look at the picture below for example. It's pretty unreal that you charge 18 dollars for chips and guacamole. Man this place gives Mexican food a bad rap. Save your money and go somewhere else

Came here with my friend before seeing a show at the Barclays Center. I had the margarita with guacamole and chips. The margarita was just right perfectly strong and delicious. The guacamole was fresh and tasty. I didn't have time to order anything else, so will definitely try this restaurant again.

Don't forget their chips and guacamole! There is not a item on the menu that will disappoint. The entire staff is attentive and remembers you from visit to visit. If you have not visited Tinys you're definitely missing out on a gem.

Fantastic spot for some tasty tacos! Located right behind Barclays Center, I can definitely see this place being the perfect spot for a pre/post event meal. Our server Raphael welcomed us in on a chilly evening- he even let us know that it was a little warmer towards the back of the restaurant, it was really kind of him.We started off with the Queso Fundido- the queso was so smooth and creamy and paired perfectly with the crumbled chorizo that was sprinkled on top, it was literally like fondue! We enjoyed the queso with the soft tortillas that were served with it (I also thought the queso to tortilla ratio was perfect.)My husband got the carnitas tacos and I got the suadero (brisket) tacos- they served the tacos with 3 cute little bottles of their sauces (avocado sauce, pumpkin seed sauce and spicy sauce) and we enjoyed going through the different sauces. The pumpkin seed sauce was sweet and creamy and was my favorite (and I thought it went the best with the tender brisket in my tacos.) And let me say, these tacos were stuffed with meat- we left full and super satisfied. Can't wait to try their other dishes- they had a mushroom (portabello and oyster mushroom) taco that caught my eye so that will be for my next visit, which I hope will be soon!

What else can you ask for a Mexican local spot! Quick in and out or a nice little break to sip a beer eat some tacos and chat with a buddy either way the atmosphere is perfect. Food was excellent- all I ask of a Mexican spot is to have an authentic feel and taste to it. Loved it here.
