Topping Rose was a perfect escape from the city pre- season. Although I was in the Hamptons for a work project, starting the days with their complementary breakfast was divine. I highly recommend the avocado toast with sunflower sprouts. If you have time, do join them for lunch or dinner- so nice to have a Jean George restaurant on site! The staff was attentive, upbeat and went out of their way to ensure everything was perfect. The room was well maintained and the outdoor patio was a perfect respite at the end of a long day. If your room did not come with duvets, call the front desk and they'll bring them right over. Do be aware that if you're traveling with a friend and not a lover, they do not seem to have separate beds any larger than twin- and they may be pushed together. In the end we made it work as everything else was above and beyond. Yes- I would and shall return. Kate

What a wonderful spring weekend I spent there with my two dogs. The most dog-friendly place I have ever stayed. Jean Georges is the upscale neighborhood saloon in this isolated town in the Hamptons friendly, warm and lively. "Danielle" drove us to the beach and picked us up with friendliness and kindness. We loved the service at every turn: food service, front desk, housekeeping. I hope to return and send sincere thanks from Winnie the pug and Pippy the chihuahua!

we stayed 12 days because of problems with our home and the staff made us feel like we were at home. our dog jagger had a great time. My wife loved the fitness classes. the staff was amazing. The location is amazing.

Needs a major facelift

For hotel only:

A less than mediocre stay. The rooms are old, drab, and worn down. No better than a three star hotel. Old fixtures and furniture, outdated decor, chipped and stain walls and curtains, stained everything-even the coffee table books were stained. Our room smelled awful. Mattress and pillows were extremely uncomfortable. Slippers were flimsy and reminded us of hospital slippers.

Rooms were not the level of clean one expects of a hotel, especially five star. There was a layer of dust on half the sink area, oily fingerprints on the doors, etc. Whatever they use to clean the floors smells very toxic and is nauseating.

Nobody came to clean up the room each day until after 12pm which is very late given it’s such a small hotel. “Turndown”, if that’s what you want to call it since they didn’t actually turndown anything (they left chocolate on the table), was around 6:30pm which is far too early.

Water bottles and snacks in the rooms were never replenished.

The rooms face the street so you can hear the cars at all hours. It’s a busy road so there is no way around.

This place needs a facelift. Not 5 star service, not 5-star facility, not worth the cost, not worth the stay. For the pricing they charge there are far superior hotels in the Hamptons.

Continue to do all the same and you will be very valuable to all customers. We traveled with our puppy dog who was more than welcomed everywhere. The vibe was simply perfect. We will certainly come back again and again.

Best Hotel / Dinning/ Sleeping Experience in The Hamptons

Clearly the best stay in Eastern Long Island. Central location, great sleeping quarters, excellent food...AMAZING STAFF !!! Very kind and accommodating!! The experience is all luxury! The gym is equipped with a Peloton ....so this staff has thought of everything.

In the dead of winter it’s hard to have a “warm” experience yet the Topping Rose did just that…..topped our expectations. The room was incredibly comfortable, well appointed and inviting. The staff was helpful without being overly accommodating, timely and joyful to work with. I actually slept in which was an unexpected treat. The room came with great “snacks”, including hot cider along with optional brandy. Perfect for a 15 degree night.

Topping Rose House is a lovely property. We had booked a room in the charming main house, but due to construction (was it unplanned?) we were placed us in a newer cottage room. Our room had large sliding doors opening to a private yard which would be great in the summer, creating a combined indoor outdoor room feel, but in the dead of winter with doors closed, felt like I was in a renovated cargo container. Nice details but I somehow expected more. I was cold in the bathroom. could have used towel warmers or a heat lamp. I didnt love the farmaesthtics bathroom amenities, but that is just a matter of taste. Nice basket of snacks and beverages in the room. Everything was very nice. Was hoping for more special touches at such a revered property. Dinner and breakfast were good but unmemorable, although. service in the restaurant was excellent.

The TRH team goes above and beyond in all areas...top notch accomodations and service and dining. This is a great place to stay for a romantic getaway or a family stay. Perfect for families, nice and quiet.

I was pushed several times while sitting on my own chair. The bold waiter, who was wearing a scarf as if it was a mask, walked by behind me and pushed me in my back and walked away with no regrets. After 15 minutes he did the same. Another waiter almost hit me with his elbow. The food was terribly tasteless and cheap given the price ($168 per person). JUST NOT GOOD AT ALL! The water cost $12 and it was Essentia (not even Acqua Panna or Sanpellegrino) in a plastic bottle that costs $1.99 in Target. There were no table cloths, no embellishments in the room (wasn't it Christmas Eve?!). I guess they didn't want to spend anything to create festive atmosphere for guests. Also, one of our glasses had a lipstick stain, which is unforgivable given the prices and all the fuss about the place. I would NOT recommend this place and will NOT return ever.

From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

Best Answer Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Best Answer Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

Best Answer Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.

It's fine if the sellers are just individuals that can't use the reservation. But just curious: 1. What's preventing people from creating lots of email accounts and write a script to book all the reservations FOR FREE then resale it here? 2. Since restaurants can be partners, can they benefit from the bidding? If so wouldn't this just be ridiculous? So a restaurant can sell reservations just like selling a ticket? And customers not only need to pay for the reservation also need to pay for the meal?

Once you place your bid, all sellers with a connection to the venue will start to work on fulfilling your desired time and date of the reservation. This process can be instant or may take a few days as most locations are either fully booked or hard to get! Stay tuned!

Best Answer Hey @HolisticQuestion30, whenever a bid expires, can't be filled or is cancelled by you, your funds are deposited in your AppointmentTrader Main Account in real time so you can use them for another bid instantly and don't have to carry multiple authorizations on your credit card for a number of days. You can access the funds with the credit card number that is shown next to your main account (labeled 'Show Card Number'). The real-time access is also true for any funds you earn from selling or reselling a reservation. You can use this card-number at any place online that accepts credit cards. (Currently limited to USD, multi currency support is planned.) AT is currently working on implementing a push-to-debit function, if you would like funds sent to your bank account before this feature is live, please email support [AT] appointmenttrader.com The team is usually very responsive and happy to assist with bridging any tech gap with their service :-)
