Came here for dinner but ended up having to leave pretty abruptly bc my sister wasn't feeling well from all the wine tasting earlier in the day (not from the food). I did very much enjoy the little wedge salad, which was incredibly fresh and light. The cod wasn't bad either, though very heavy on the butter. If my sister had been feeling better, would've totally gotten the large Dungeness crab! They have a couple other large format options also (that night they had an 8 lb lobster and a large steak option I am forgetting at the moment).

They have some really tasty and uniquely flavorful vegetarian options. I particularly enjoyed the mushroom bolognese pasta & the morel mushrooms. The creamy basmati rice was also yum! On top of this, the service was excellent. I haven't come across such competent and attentive staff in a long while. We had a lovely time.

Be the first to ReplyHas potential, but missed the mark.
The hamachi tartare was easily the highlight of the night, and a really standout dish. It had the perfect combination of flavor and texture. The scallops were also good. The prices are higher than many Michelin star restaurants though, and unfortunately, a lot of the other dishes left quite a bit to be desired. Pasta was overcooked, morel/goat cheese side was a miss, and the salad was also disappointing.
Be the first to ReplyDisappointing.
The flavors were overpowering for the palate. No dish was memorable. Chairs were uncomfortable. Very stylish place and yet the food was a flop for us. Staff was friendly, but, got our hopes up with the hype of the home made this and that, which was not as expected. Dishes were too spicy and the flavors were conflicting. Will not go back.
Be the first to ReplyService was great.
Silverware was changed very often. Food was cooked just right. Added truffle to the pasta dish. Paired well.

valentines week! Zoe our waitress made this dinner date special because of her love and passion for wine, culinary arts and customers. Clients remember her and come back to see her! Food is always stellar here! Detailed. Professional. Attentive. high quality ingredients; ever changing seasonal menu; a very involved chef O' toole who will not let a detail go unmissed... Not even a sprig of mint or a tiny micro ringlet of onion. Love love love Torc

We celebrated valentines day last weekend by having the most amazing steak dinner for two. But first my wife had a life changing gin martini. When we got home my wife realized she had left a wine bag at our table. She called and spoke with the Manager Scott. Scott let her know he has our bag and offered to drop it off on his way home since he lived in the same area. And, He Did! What can you say other than, "Thank You" & we will be back.

Was not so sure this was a place I wanted to go in Napa, but between the service, the food and the wine, they won me over. Had the tempura, the tuna and some excellent wine that made for a lovely evening.

Service is horrible, asked waiter for a bill and he started pouring other costumers drinks and taking photos. Ignored us for 20 minutes then gladly took our bill once another waitress paid for us. Food was mediocre.

Long overdue review on one of my favorites restaurants in Napa. The ambiance is great and the food is amazingly great. Every time we come here we enjoy our meals. Different menu, different creations. Prices are on the higher side but that's what you pay for good quality food now-days. Overall a great locationgreat service great food great ambiance
Be the first to ReplySo the inside and the ambiance was great.
Came here for a friends birthday and she did state that she's only came here and had drinks and appetizers. The appetizers were good , the truffle crostini had wayyy to much truffle on it , but my friends liked it. The only thing I liked were the fries and the mayo . For dinner my friends got the fettuccine and I got the duck breast and my other friend got the steak dinner for two. All of us were disappointed no one finished their food and will not be back. I had to send my duck back , the service was very good but for the prices that they are asking I will not be back for dinner. We paid $650 for dinner and tipped $200 for the service but we were not satisfied.
Be the first to ReplyOverrated.
Interior ascetic doesn't fit the menu. The menu descriptions do not accurately depict the meal and we listened to horrible 80s music the whole evening. The $46 grilled cheese is just insulting and why I'm writing this review. Never again.

Delicious food, amazing service by Maria, great wine pairing! I was there for pre-fixed truffle seasonal menu and was happy they accommodate me with my dietary restrictions. We dined with a 7 year old and he enjoyed his food from kids menu as well. The place is beautiful , quiet, romantic. Highly recommend!
Be the first to ReplyThe restaurant itself is a cool atmosphere.
We were a bit early for our reservation so we grabbed a drink at the bar. The cocktails were great and the bartenders were very knowledgeable. I had the L.L. Green which is one of their gin cocktails and I found it to be very refreshing and well balanced. Our dinner left us somewhat disappointed. We started with the truffle crostini which had a ton of truffle. If you are a truffle fan, you'll definitely enjoy this appetizer. For entree's I had the scallops which were good but nothing special. He had the filet which he said was over cooked and under seasoned. He asked for medium rare but felt his cook was medium and felt it really needed more salt or seasoning of any type. We were super hungry from travelling all day and just wanted to eat so we didn't bother sending it back to be have the cook corrected. The staff was all very friendly, but the food left us wishing we were more satisfied considering this is not a cheap restaurant. We agree we would return for a drink and maybe an app, but not another dinner.
Be the first to ReplyWhat an experience.
Talk about delectable dishes! From the deviled eggs (yes these are better than your grandma's) to the pappardelle with duck or the Sunchoke Risotto. Pha-nom-eh-nal!!!Highly recommend.

My boyfriend and I recently visited Napa and started our trip off with a visit to Torc. We had such a wonderful experience there! From the service, to the ambiance, to the food everything was amazing. Our server was so helpful in giving us recommendations for both wine and food. Our favorite dishes were the truffle crostini and the liberty duck breast. The duck was so moist and tender that even my boyfriend, who usually doesn't like duck or gamey meats, enjoyed this dish. Highly recommend this spot in downtown Napa!
Be the first to ReplyWe went to Torc for a friend's Birthday.
She who has discriminating taste says it is her favorite restaurant. I found it good but overpriced. Where else can you get a grilled truffle cheese sandwich for $45.00? For the four of us it was over $400.00. It is in downtown Napa. Many of my friends love it. Perhaps it is worth checking out if you are not on a budget.
Be the first to ReplyGreat gem! The food was amazing.
You can tell that they put care and love into the preparation and presentation. From traditional to slight fusion options, everything was a such a delightful burst of flavor. They have a great selection of beverages as well. Please remember to make reservations to get the best service.
Be the first to ReplyWe had a reservation at 9pm.
I booked it a few days in advance and that was the only time available. I did get a text that my table was ready at 8:20pm but we still arrived at 9pm. The restaurant was packed and only a couple tables were empty (and that was because 9pm is the last seating). Our waiter was very nice and knew all about the dishes whenever we had a question. We started with the Bengali sweet potato pakora, crispy pork terrine, and della fattoria bread. The pakora was decent. It was a mashed up sweet potatoes with a fried batter. It didn't have a strong sweet potato taste. It was served with a yogurt-based sauce that added to the flavor. The crispy pork is one of the best dishes I've ever had. There was barely any fat on the pork, but the meat was still very moist. It was in a crispy batter that was fried perfectly. It one was served with two sauces. One was a black garlic aioli and that made the dish even better. It was so good I used it was a dipping sauce for my bread. The dish was also served with a kimchi. The bread came with four different breads. They were all very basic. For our main entrees we got the liberty duck breast and buckwheat fusilli. I didn't care much for my duck breast dish. I wasn't a fan of the broccolini that came with the dish - it has a bitter taste. I usually like the skin on my duck crispy and this wasn't crispy at all. I also added black truffle for $25. I just wanted to try it as this was my first time having it. It has a very earthy taste and I wasn't a fan. My husband got the buckwheat fusilli. The flavor of the sauce was very savory on the duck - very good. The pasta was basic. I got the cookie duo to go. Molasses cookies are my favorite so I loved that cookie. The triple chocolate was pretty good.Even though I wasn't a fan of my entree, I would still highly suggest it recommend this restaurant as the crispy pork was one of the best dishes I've ever had and all the dishes had a torc spin to it which I enjoyed.
Be the first to ReplyFirstly, our waiter Zach was over the top amazing.
If enthusiastic is just excited there isn't a word I can think of aside from passionate that describes Zach's love for good food and wine. He is a wonderful guide. He reflects the best of the restaurant and mirrors the philosophy of the owners and chef Cynthia and Sean O Toole ! Oddly. I cried during my salad because so much attention, care and intentionality was put into it. I have been very close to plants as of late so my experience with Chef Sean's zen Farmer market salad was overwhelming. My eyes welled up with tears and a lump in my throat formed. Every flavor and addition no matter how small was the exact size and amount and intensity to compliment the dish. It is obvious there are layers to the presentation starting with the blank canvas or whatever item could become such a tool among the other number of items placed on your plate. It's pure Artwork. I embarrassed my hubs mostly because as I began to well up with tears and tell him why he also began to well up with tears. This same layered canvas theme continues throughout all his dishes. I am partial to his non meat centric offerings but we did order a variety and the prime beef entree and quail were also excellent. I am in love with the vegetarian options however. Sometimes chefs forget what they do for humanity. I just want to say that those who enter and practice the culinary arts are heroes in my mind ... keeping alive what is human and community together. I was honored to meet Chef Sean Saturday night...a natural culinary artist, lover of food, down to Earth hot dog loving foodie who says he mostly dreams of chopping onions if anything at all. ( and yes he chatted with me about his hot dog cravings and dreamsthis week)We will be back
Be the first to ReplySuper overpriced for the food available.
Prime rib $58 for 6 oz. as an example. Food is ok but not amazing. A little bit of pasta with sausage $31. Bar has happy hour but they don't let take drinks to the table.

Found this restaurant just by scrolling through review online. The decor is awesome and the service was outstanding. Our party of 4 enjoyed the black truffle crostini, deviled eggs, and tempura squash blossoms as appetizers- all excellent! Main course included dover scallops- best I ever had! friends had king salmon BLT (w/o the bacon as we don't eat that) but still savory- the salmon rivaled that from our visit to Alaska! Two pasta dishes- the rigatonici and risotto- were enjoyed by our guests. The risotto was a bit thick but still good. Sides of bread and butter, gem wedge salad, 'pomme frites' and mushrooms were also enjoyed by all- the pomme frites and mushrooms were unique and very tasty! The torc Ho Ho is a must for chocolate lovers! and the daily offering of ice cream was a 'smores' type combo: marshmallow ice cream with chocolate syrup and graham cracker- just could use a bit more chocolate syrup in my opinion. Extensive wine list as well- we chose Silver Oak Cab. Definitely worth a visit!
