This is the second time I was there for the Omakase.
We called ahead and booked a table for 6. Started with the phone call, the lady asked many many questions about our food allergies/ preference, and she did explained very well to set expectations. Even though half of our group arrived late, the waitresses were very accommodating and courteous. Out of the many courts we were served, I recommend these the most: The straw smoked chicken steak The foie gras skewer The closer clear broth noodle soup We were on a business trip so we didn't get to try the sake paring omakase. So that's what we are going to do next time around.
Be the first to ReplyWe love yakitori and was excited when I found this place.
Specialized in chicken, basically you can eat all parts of a chicken. My favorite was the Heart with Vavle and Tail. 3 stars is because every dish was more on the salty side. It would be great if they lessen the salt by 25%.
Be the first to ReplyWe had the omakase menu because we booked ahead of time
We had the omakase menu because we booked ahead of time (didn't get a choice) and I have to say I was blown away! The char on the skewers were right on and I definitely was walking out of there with a food coma. On the pricier side but it was delish. FYI- This was a smaller restaurant and we saw a couple parties of 2's and 4's try to walk in without success.

Be the first to ReplyAburiya Raku is one of my favorite Japanese restaurants in
Aburiya Raku is one of my favorite Japanese restaurants in Vegas, so it's only natural that I tried their sister restaurant Toridokoro Raku. They specialize in all dishes related to chicken, so it'll be pretty difficult to find items for vegetarians, vegans or people who don't eat chicken. Items we had: Chicken paitan ramen - creamy chicken broth with al dente thin noodles. Comforting, rich broth and the flavors were on point but the portion was really small. Yakitori skewers - I had the neck meat, cartilage, Tsukune meat ball with raw egg. The meatball was my favorite (mainly because of the raw egg) but felt that the skewers were expensive for what they were. Soboro bowl - ground chicken rice bowl with mustard greens, shiso, seaweed and raw egg. My favorite dish on their menu. Each spice and ingredient is intentional and creates a harmoniously flavorful rice bowl. Portion is not huge but surprisingly filling! Sake steamed clams - light sake broth with clams. Flavorful clam broth comes boiling hot in a pot. The clams were overpriced at $25. Overall the food quality was great, but it was hard to justify the price for what you get. If you want authentic Japanese Yakitori that's not overly crowded and has a peaceful ambience, this is a good spot. But I recommend Izakaya Go instead for solid Yakitori that doesn't break your bank.

My partner and I had a craving for Japanese food and he - having been here before - recommended Toridokoro Raku on Flamingo Road. We sat at the counter and ordered a bunch of smaller dishes to be shared - Japanese version of tapa or dim sum style. My partner did the ordering so honestly, I have no idea what was what - but I know that everything was delicious. Sitting at the counter opposite the chef, we we able to watch as everything was being prepared - which was very interesting. On my portion of the bill it shows we ordered soboro don ($9), clear ramen ($9), dakimi ($5), mushroom ($3) and kokuto pudding for dessert ($5). Unfortunately I cannot tell you what else we shared because the other items were on his portion of the bill (he was on an expense account so we had to split the check), but it was a lot of smaller dishes (as seen in the attached photos) all well prepared and very tasty. If you go - be brave and try something new that you have never tried before - you can't go wrong here. We will definitely be back next time we are in Vegas.
Be the first to ReplyGreat value for yakitori omakase.
I was able to call in for day of late dinner reservation. I liked the variety of flavors and the chicken was perfectly cooked and seasoned. It was a quaint, smaller restaurant with a chill ambiance.
Be the first to ReplyThe best Japanese grill we have had.
The taste is amazing. The chief cooked with a lot of care in front of us. He is young but so good. Device is nice too. Definitely recommended. Shall try the ground chicken and the mushroom! The tofu is also nice.

We made a reservation for the main Raku and accidentally went into this chicken-only sister restaurant. They were very nice about it and offered us the option to either go over there (and they would honor the reservation) or stay. We chose to stay and they called Raku for us. The skewers here are just unparalleled. It transports me to Japan. We got lucky with a table but I would recommend having a reservation since the restaurant is pretty small. Favorites are the gizzards, kidneys, and hearts. The fried cartilage is amazing as well. Portions are small. This is not a restaurant that will fill you up if you're not ready to spend $$.

This was my second visit here, and it was just as good as the first. I called during their opening hours to make a reservation the week of, and it was easy to get. It's a small restaurant so I def recommend making rezzies. All I need to say is that, if it's anything that has chicken in it, get it! Seriously, I'm not crazy about chicken, but at this restaurant, that's all I want. My fave dishes are Karaage (this is done in such a unique way, it's crispy, juicy chunks of chicken, and super tasty), Paitan Ramen (the broth on this is white, thick and creamy - and the noodles are a plus), Skin (served yakitori/on the stick style, and if you're into chicken skin, get this!), and lastly, Raku's Tofu ( if you're a tofu lover, this homemade tofu that has no chicken in it, is a must - so simple but the taste of pure tofu is amazing). Parking is easy and plenty, located in a big plaza with other restaurants, and the service here is what you expect at an authentic Japanese restaurant - 100% great service!
Be the first to ReplyYakitori does not get better than this.
I sat at the bar and watched the chef carefully, meticulously cook a simple onigiri. Huge attention to detail on every item they cook, and always beautiful presentation. The foie gras donburi is absolutely worth the price.

Was definitely an experience, that I'd do again! Everything we ordered was mouthwatering and we ordered them twice. The prices are reasonable for tapas style dining. Highly recommend the foie gras. The juicy fried chicken was beautifully presented as a roll. The restaurant was tiny but it was able to accommodate our party of 6 on this Saturday evening. There is a small bar available.Attentive customer service and parking was not a problem.

This is the closest thing to Tokyo for izakaya and it was outstanding. I had the omakasa and was not disappointed. Everything is cooked in front of you on the grill and it is expertly cooked. I can't wait to come back!

Quality of the food is amazing, the RSVP process and service needs to be improved. I called and made an RSVP for Friday night, it was my sisters birthday so I know I did not get the date wrong. We showed up, gifts in hand and was told they do not have our RSVP. It was very awkward for the 3 of us to stand at the door, holding gifts while the lady walk back and forth trying to find our RSVP. She asked "Which number did you call?" And I showed her that I called the correct number. Then she asked "Did you talk to someone?" ... What? Of course I spoke to someone, why would I assumed that I have an RSVP if I didn't? Then she pointed to a table and said "Ok, you can sit here!" Wow what a way to greet your customers. Keep in mind only the bar area was full at this point, their other 4-5 tables were all empty and throughout our meal only 2 other tables came in, so I really don't understand why she acted like they do not have a table for us. We all did the omakase and really liked our meal. We definitely got to try a lot of different dishes (12 total) and most of them were very delicious. The quality is definitely top notch. The chicken stew was our least favorite because the taste was ok and it was so salty. The ramen was also ok, nothing special. The skewers and everything else was delicious. We did feel they were rushing us out. We barely finish with one dish before they start cleaning the table and brining out the next dish. My brother and I were paying, so I had put my card down and he was pulling his card out of his wallet then the waitress came and grabbed the checkbook, we had to ask her to give us a few seconds. Again, only the bar area was full and they have 1 other table besides us so I really don't understand her rushing especially since we are almost done with the meal. The whole RSVP mix-up and feeling of being rushed really ruined the dinner for us. It's a pricier place for dinner and I definitely think service could have been better. It could have just been a small mix up with RSVP but the way the waitress handled everything really annoyed me. Definitely recommend trying the food, no complaints there. Just make sure to double check your RSVP.

Best yakitori in town or even better than any others in Southern California in my opinion. Service was great and the ambiance was there too. I would highly recommend this place. Good sake selection.

I really like the chicken dishes here! The wings were good, the stew thing was good, the kidney dish was good! I definitely would come back every trip! 1-star because they ran out of some stuff when we went there
Be the first to ReplyThe best yakitori in the U.
S. by far. I've had plenty across the U.S. (LA, NY) and just impressed with everything on the menu. It was so good we ate again the next day.Authentic. For first timers, I'll recommend the omakase set so you get a taste of everything. When you go back, you can simply order individually the skewers you like. The foie gras with duck skewer is one of my fave. A must have if it's not in your omakase.
Be the first to ReplyWe had a late dinner (9:30p, by reservation) after a show
We had a late dinner (9:30p, by reservation) after a show on the strip. We were seated right away. Everything from the grill was great. Meat was tender and full of flavor. The clear soup noodle was good. Be careful these are very small bowels so you may end up ordering a few. Service was quick and no frill. Overall a great place for dinner and price was reasonable for Vegas.
Be the first to ReplyThe food was amazing.
You have to make a reservation because everyone will literally run through the door as soon as they open (including my group and I). I had written down exactly what I wanted to eat and ordered everything up front because I saw the previous reviews that recommended ordering once, so that there is no long wait for food. I really loved that they offered tea at the end.My only gripe is a very specific experience that made me feel discriminated. I had reservations for myself, my boyfriend, and I wanted to treat my little brother and his girlfriend. My boyfriend and I were treating ourselves to a nice dinner and wanted to share a small bottle of sake for our meal. We were denied ordering sake because although we showed our ID's (we are well above 21), the server demanded we show my brother and his girlfriends ID. I told them twice that they are 18 and cannot drink. They said everyone within my party MUST be 21 to order. I instead chose not to order the sake but saw every single family have multiple bottles of beer and sake while their teens and kids were sitting with them.
Be the first to ReplyMy wife and I have been to this restaurant at least 10
My wife and I have been to this restaurant at least 10 times in the last year. We keep coming back here for a few reasons:-The chicken and vegetable skewers are absolutely delicious.. and very cost-effective. You'd be hard pressed to find a better chicken thigh skewer within 500 miles. -The foie grais Don and the Oyaku Don are both incredible and very filling.. highly recommend adding at least one of these along with some chicken skewers-Sitting in front of the bar and watching the chef make the yakitori skewers is extremely entertaining.. its really enjoyable to watch your food get cooked right in front of you-When they have the manila clams I highly recommend ordering this as well.. don't forget to get a side of rice with it to soak up all that delicious brothWe typically spend less than 100$ after tax and tip for 2 and its always a satisfying experience. The food does sometimes take a significant amount of time to come out so it's better if you order everything all at once.
Be the first to ReplyI've been a huge fan of Raku for years, sad that they
I've been a huge fan of Raku for years, sad that they closed their Beverly Hills location due to pandemic, so every time I visit Vegas I would have to go to Raku or Raku sweets for my fix. So of course when they announced their new spot, I was super eager to try. Been also hearing good things from a few people I know. So here I am finally trying out Toridokoro Raku. I made a reservation over the phone for 7 adults and 2 kids, they told me my whole party would have to do their omakase since it was closed to 10 people which I was totally fine as first timers. Omakase price $75 per person, reasonable for about 12 courses meal. But the food came out very slow... almost 20+ mins for in between each, by the time when half the food came out, I was already full and almost lost my appetite. The restaurant was hot and didn't feel like there's much air for circulation with heater coming on really made me felt a bit nauseous after a 2.5 hrs dinner.
Be the first to ReplyEverything was great until they tried to charge our credit
Everything was great until they tried to charge our credit cards and were declined. My wife and I have more than $10,000 balance on each credit card. They ran my debit card and it went through. Something is fishy about this spot. Both of my cards from Chase and should not have any problem. I used the same card to take Uber back to the hotel when we got out of the restaurant and used it again at the hotel. I know those finance company charges less fee on debit card vs credit card, but they shouldn't operate this way.FYI. Our bill was $370. Food was great.Service was great as well. However the whole dining experience went down to the drain. SMH. I'm giving 1 star because y'all ruined my dinner.Btw, please take your own condiments. They will charge everything except for salt, red pepper, and soy sauce.
Be the first to ReplyThis place is very nice and the service is great.
Food wise is very different. Have some kind in Los Angeles. Raku chicken wing taste great and the mochi also is one must try, the restaurant is Not too expensive, but the omakasa can not recommend, Better to pick the individual and you will enjoy more.
Be the first to ReplyArguably the best Yakitori in Vegas.
We didn't make reservations but was able to get seated at the bar- able to watch the chef make his great Japanese bbq. Most dishes are chicken based but they did have a few vegetables and seafood We did the chef tasting menu. Can't recall if it was 9-10 courses but it was filing- it had soup and dessert. my favorite is the duck and foie gras. Next time I know which skewers to order after doing the chef tasting menu. Our servers were courteous. Restaurant is very clean. Good pricing. Wish they served some sushi but that's why they have Raku.
