Omg I love this place!! Went here for the first time last year thanks to my friend who brought me here! Food is amazing and staff is amazing!! I love the new outdoor dining look and design, it gives you the feeling as if you were in door!! This time around we ordered a lot of food!
Be the first to ReplyExcellent environment.
Delicious food and attentive staff really worth my time and money. Will come again for sure.
Be the first to ReplyI do not like giving bad reviews.
But I have to be honest with our experienced. Me and my wife came here to have dinner. I love food and Im the type of person who enjoys different food from different culture. With Hawaiian food, I usually order my loco moco. When I got my food, you can tell, just by looking at it that the meat was not going to be good. I took a bite and I knew right away that the meat was a frozen beef patty. It was horrible, I did not even took another bite. I would give this place a one star but we enjoyed the drinks. Overall, I do not think I would come back here to eat, maybe for some drinks on happy hour
Be the first to ReplyWe came here for restaurant week in January this year.
The food was good but we definitely left a little hungry, but that's probably because of the set menu for restaurant week. Looking at pictures of their dishes normally, doesn't seem like portion sizes are that big. It's probably a healthy portion for normal people, but my partner and I are piggies who love to nom haha. This kind of restaurant is a bit out of my normal price range for the food/portion size, but I would definitely suggest trying it out for restaurant week or something similar. I definitely recommend their yaki-onigiri! Super simple but I love the crispness of the rice and the truffle butter goes perfectly.

Great place for dinner - highly recommend to everyone for a date, a drink or just catching up. It's fancy but not too fancy where it's uncomfortable and the variety of food makes it upscale but familiar to everyone. The drinks are pretty good and ambiance/service are awesome. They put a lot of thought into the ingredients and menu - there is no place like this in the Bay Area.

With enormous windows and that cozy stairway, the front of this restaurant is undoubtedly the attraction of Salesforce East. The upstairs was just as appealing with a wide open dining area, a somewhat hidden bar area with more tables, and an unexpected patio dining area. The space itself is a definite plus! My first time here was for a birthday dinner, and then returned a few weeks later for Saturday brunch. Both times, I arrived early to grab a drink or three at the bar. Good vibes in this dim side of the restaurant... with a cheerful bartender, old school background music, basketball on the screen, lots of room, and a Magnum P.I.-themed drink menu. Had to try the Zeus & Apollo cocktail -named after the two Dobermans that hated Magnum. The Ardbeg rinse caught my eye in this rum drink. Turned out to be pretty refreshing. The Ol' Dusseldorf is Magnum's favorite beer. Here, it's like a Coke on steroids. I also had this Rye and rum-infused drink later with my dinner, which was a better alternative to soda. Gladly, each order of this drink kept getting stronger! For brunch, I'd recommend starting with a pitcher of their POG Mimosa, and ending with a few more :) Enjoy this passion-orange-guava-champagne concoction while listening to the live DJ at Saturday brunch! The Chicken and Puffle is their take on the infamous chicken and waffle dish, just with a rolled bubble waffle. The tender buttermilk fried chicken complemented the freshly-made, puffy, semi-sweet egg waffle. A well-balanced meal indeed! I normally eat these waffles bubble by bubble. But not with this dish. You can actually eat it like a taco! Their Mochi pancakes were underwhelming. I expected more mochi texture. I'd rather order their French Toast with bruléed bananas and peanut brittle, probably my favorite brunch dish.My favorite dinner entree would be their Kalbi short rib. A little on the dark side, but the bold flavors and portion size impressed me the most. I got to taste their Grilled Octopus, Miso Honey-glazed Butterfish, Maine Lobster & Hokkaido Scallop, and Huli-Huli Chicken entrees too. And when I say taste, I mean barely a bite each. With those bites, the buttery and fluffy butterfish stood out the most. Their SPAM Musubi was just okay. "Mochi-crusted" caught our eyes, but really didn't do much for me. I actually liked the Yaki Onigiri better. Menu items I would order again are their Maitake Mushroom Tempura and Kimchee Fried Rice. And both are available during brunch AND dinner! For sweets, you can't go wrong with their Donut Holes, served with three different tropical sauces. Their Coffee & Cream Shave Ice was also hard to resist. Staff here is friendly. However, service can be inconsistent. In one occasion, I waited extra long for my dish. In another occasion, one of my sides didn't come at all. We just had to make sure it wasn't on the bill. Happy Hour is next!
Be the first to ReplyThe Trailblazer Tavern is closed.
But the chefs are cooking and giving food to go for free to the employees that are not working from International Smoke and the Tavern Monday to Friday! As a guest, the food is delicious! The team is professional and friendly. Thank you Jerry and staff for all you do! Marco.

The dishes that I had here were mixed, and the overall rating is closer to 3.5 stars; however, rounding up to 4 since it was a good dining experience overall, and there were some good dishes. They were busy at 6:30pm on a Thursday, and the restaurant/bar area was packed. Luckily, we got a table in the exterior section, which was a lot nicer since it wasn't as loud or dark as the interior section. We ordered a lot of dishes to share, and also had a lot of leftovers to take home for a party of 5:[yelp.com/user_local_phot…:-S.P.A.M. Musubi (Mochi Crusted Smoked Pork Arabiki Meatloaf, $15): Interesting, and I liked the slight chewiness of the mochi. Worth trying once but I'm not sure I would order this again.-Ahi Poke Nachos (Avocado Salsa, Bubu Arare, Wonton Chips, $19):The tuna was really fresh, and this dish was solid overall.-Salt & Pepper Big Fin Squid (Fermented Black Bean, Calamansi Aioli, $16): Nice and crispy, and very fresh. I liked the addition of shishitos.[yelp.com/user_local_phot…:-North Shore Style Kauai Shrimp (Garlic Butter Sauce, Edamame, Carrots, Rice, $31): Bland, and the shrimp were slightly overcooked- skip!-Kalbi Short Rib (Kimchee Potato Salad, Coconut Rice, Pickled Kohlrabi, $29): Yum- the flavor of the short ribs was good, and it had a good sear. However, the meat was on the chewier side.-Huli Huli Chicken (Rice Cakes, Chinese Broccoli, Chili Sauce, $32)[yelp.com/user_local_phot…:-Pepper Crusted Rib Eye (Cipolini Onions, Shiitake Mushrooms, Salt Roasted Marble Potatoes, $48): Cooked a very good medium rare, but was on the leaner side for a rib eye. Still a solid steak.-Miso Honey Glazed Butterfish (Assorted Banchan, Bok Chou Namul, $37): Yum- cooked perfectly. The fish was tender, flaky, and very flavorful- recommended!-Kimchee Fried Rice (Kimchee, Pork Belly, Ko Chu Jang, $10): Yum- really good! The rice was stir fried really well, and it was very flavorful. Recommended!-Porchetta Lau Lau (Kalua Pig, Lomi Tomato, $35): Not very good. The pork didn't have much flavor, and was on the dry side- skip![yelp.com/user_local_phot…:-Tropical Creamsicle Brûlée (Haupia Tapioca, Dragon Fruit, Pineapple, Lilikoi Sorbet, $10): Yum- beautiful and delicious dessert. The fruits worked really well together, and this was very refreshing- recommended!-Coconut Cake (Coconut Chiffon, Haupia Pudding, Compressed Pineapple Kaffir Coconut Snow, Haupia Sorbet, $9): Great mix of tropical flavors, and the cake was nice and light- recommended for coconut lovers! Our server was friendly and knowledgeable, but some of the dishes took a while to come out. Our overall dining experience took over 2 hours, since it took a long time for dessert to arrive. I would likely come back if in the mood for Hawaiian fusion cuisine, and would want to check out their Happy Hour. Parking in this area is extremely difficult since street parking spots are rare. There are lots available, but the hourly rate isn't cheap.

Came here for dinner a little while back with a group of friends and had a good time. Trailblazer Tavern is an upscale, Hawaiian-themed restaurant, but features kitschy decor reminiscent of Rainforest Cafe. It was a little confusing, but we were also into it.My friends and I shared the Ahi Poke Nachos, which were delicious!!! Fresh fish and avocado on top of some perfectly crispy chips. Yum! I wasn't excited by the entrees, so I ordered the Grains and Sprouts and Unagi & Butterfish Arancini as my mains. The Grains and Sprouts were fairly standard, but I was happy to get some greens in. The aracini was tasty: piping hot with just the right amount of sauce. The food here was good, but felt a little overpriced and a bit toned down from other Hawaiian food that I had had in the past. Our server was super friendly and nice! It took a while to get our drinks and food, but she was great about checking in with us and making sure that we could order more drinks throughout the meal.
Be the first to ReplyI had the kimchi fried rice and uni and butterfish arancini.
Both were savory, with that perfect umami sense. I wasn't paying attention (#deskprobs) and ended up eating way more than I intended to. Idk how I'm not 500 pounds after eating primarily takeout for 4+ years, so that will be my special power. Most kimchi fried rices are a bit meh in my book, but this fried rice had a good blend of slightly spicy with generous, bite-sized portions of pork belly that were neither too dry nor too oily. Granted, the dish overall was oily, but not so much that it weighed you down, as long as you ate a reasonable amount. There were also bits of kimchi (with crunchy vacuoles) that I appreciated in this dish. 3.75/5.I was initially confused by the uni and butterfish arancini, thinking that I'd ordered something more along the lines of sashimi, given that the words uni and butterfish are usually in dishes that are raw. Nevertheless, I quite enjoyed the savory umaminess of these rice balls, though the take out method rendered them less crunchy than I'd imagine they are at the restaurant. 3.75/5.I'm excited to try more items on the menu!
Be the first to ReplyDined here on a busy Saturday night.
Was shocked to note that no COVID-19 precautionary measures and sanitization practices were being implemented at the restaurant. When we arrived no hand sanitizer was offered. Before we were seated, no speciak wipe downs were done. The restaurant did not bother informing us of any specific Coronavirus related sanitary practices that had been implemented. We liked the food (hence the rating) but were very uncomfortable with the casual attitude they adopted towards this very real health concern.

A group of us came here to celebrate our friend Peter L's birthday with a nice Saturday brunch in San Francisco. I had not heard of this place until the reservations were booked and it was interesting to see that they're physically located inside a Salesforce building. They have both stairs and an elevator to take up to the 2nd floor where they're located. My first impressions was that they had created a nice space. There are dining seating options(small and big groups) and there is also a large bar inside a different section. They tried to create a Hawaiian atmosphere but it seems like they could only do so much since they're actually in a Salesforce building.I ordered the Mochi Pancakes, side of bacon, and a Yaki Onigiri. For my drink, I ordered the non-alcoholic Pog Fizz(Passion, Orange, Guava, Lemon, Club Soda). First off, the Mochi Pancakes literally had boba balls inside the pancakes. It was a weird texture and experience. Why couldn't they use Mochi flour(like you see with Mochi donuts). I would not recommend you try this at all. Bacon is actually pork belly so I would pass on that also and the Yaki Onigiri is average at best. None of the dishes I would ever order again. The best part of my meal was the Pog Fizz drink and honestly, that would be difficult to screw up.Our waiter was friendly and professional, however our friend asked for salt & pepper for his Loco Moco and it literally took him 20 plus minutes to deliver it. He had actually finished his dish before the salt & pepper arrived.
