Excellent green pesto pasta.
The best! Will def come back for that! Excellent pizza appetizer- the best in the states! Branzino fish- meh.Garnished cocktails are lovely and just right. valet only. $10- silly I know. Still would come back for the green pasta. It's good!!There's a tree in the middle of the dining area. Reminiscent of the 130 year old house in Montrose. Nice ambiance.

Great ambiance for our galentines! The ricotta dip was absolutely phenomenal, that alone was all I needed, the service was also amazing.

The valet parking charge was annoying. What I found interesting at 4 pm the place was empty but they asked what time our reservation was. Which of course we didnt have. Food was good. But I like diet coke and its sold in small bottles. Doubt we will return. Olive Garden is more my style. Hot new restaurants in Houston come and go. I prefer the places that have been in business forever. Some of these hot new chic places will be gone in a year.

The hubs and I went to TS on a whim for an early dinner and did not experience a wait. We dined on their outdoor terrace/patio, which was decorated nicely and set the southern Italian vibe. The staff and management were very professional. We loved the bucatini pasta with pesto and the broccoli rabe the best. The pesto was very fresh, rich in flavor, but also light. We added grilled chicken to it (which I recommend) - it was fantastic with the sauce. We also got the whipped ricotta. It was creamy and sweet. The oiled toasts that came with it were perfect. I recommend ordering more toast or getting the bread basket (baked fresh daily). Our ricotta was sizable, and you will likely have a lot left over without extra bread. The broccoli rabe was surprisingly tasty - it was sautéed and topped with deliciously aged parmesan (perfect pairing).

Hubby brought me here to help cure my craving for Authentic Italian cuisine. Parking: Scarce street parking and the parking lot is only Valet ($6)Ambiance: Romantic, dark Intimate Vibe inside and covered outside seating w/more of a casual feel.Food: Small menu w/ all authentic fresh Italian cuisine My husband and I started w/ Risotto Balls and Margherita Pizza. Risotto balls are very cheesy, but delicious. Crust on the Pizza is devine. For our entrees we ordered fresh pasta w/ shaved black truffles and pesto pasta w/ shrimp. All in all, enjoyed myself and there are other dishes we want to try, so we will be back. Enter freely, they're approved:)

I went for my birthday and Valentine's Day. The service was amazing. The waitress and workers were incredibly attentive and made sure that we had everything that we needed. The ambiance was nice and felt intimate and warm. It was great. My favorite dish was the prosciutto pizza!

Delicious cuisine! I reserved a table for a weekend night a week in advance! The staff was really welcoming.I got the Cacio e pepe. The sauce was still fantastic even if the noodles were thicker than I'm used to. It's a wonderful place. The fritto misto that I also tried was tasty. Olive oil cake to cap off our meal! Satisfying!!

Beautiful restaurant, great service and amazing food! The menu is a little on the smaller side but everything I tried was delicious! The pasta is fresh and the recipes are creative and unique while still tasting authentically Italian. Their parking lot is valet only, but is free during the day and $6 in the evenings or you can take your chances with heights street parking!

Be the first to ReplyWe were here yesterday for lunch.
The food was ok. Very expensive. The service was miserable. Our server, Monica, knew nothing about much of the food and zero about the wines and had a major chip on her shoulder the entire time. We had to go up to the bar to get wine recommendations. Sadly, we were recommended a bottle, which we accepted without asking the price. Since all the prices were in a certain range, we figured this would be as well. I mean, the bottle is $17.99 at Total Wine. We get the bill, and it's $99 for the bottle. This place is extremely overrated and highly overpriced for what you get. I will say that the manager and the rest of the staff seemed wonderful. However, our server did not reflect well on their establishment. Will definitely not be going back.
Be the first to ReplyQuite possibly the finest meal I've ever eaten.
Atmosphere is classy yet relaxed. This was definitely an amazing dining experience. We were treated well from the beginning to the end. Our server David was awesome! He made sure that we were all set throughout our time there. The level of attention to even the smallest detail was a really impressive factor. The food was undoubtedly some of the best cuisines I've ever had. The pasta were made to perfection. David is so hospitable as he is talented!! Ask for David you are not going to regret it

Food & Service 4/5, !!!!! Valet 0/5 !!!!!!Be prepared when you "complimentary valet" your car that you may be verbally attack about how they work for tips and require a bigger tip that what you gave them. Both guys approached us very rudely, I was truly appalled by their behavior...such a disappointing thing to experience after a great meal.
Be the first to ReplyThe service here is impeccable.
From the moment you walk in until the moment you leave you are treated very well. The menu has a very good selection of Italian food. I personally had the swordfish, which was cooked to perfection and had a very fresh taste. The oysters were very good, having a grate selection of sauces to enjoy on them. The in-house fresh bread is available for a charge but is well worth the cost. The garnishes they provide are very tasty. There selection of desserts are very good. We had the raspberry gelato which had a crisp and fresh taste. Last but not least, there drinks are phenomenal! There signature drinks are amazing, and of course they will make anything you like. We had the lemon drop martini's and there signature margaritas and they were awesome. Our server was very good. He was kind, informative, and attentive. We highly recommend this restaurant.

We were looking forward to trying Trattoria Sofia but we were greatly disappointed with our experience. It was unpleasant from the moment we checked in with the host of the restaurant. We had a reservation and arrived on time. The host was very rude and dismissive. He did not greet us nor go as far as to ask us to wait a moment while he worked on seating us. It felt like we were bothering him by being there. We ordered several dishes and felt like they were not served hot. The food was cold and not worth the price. We ordered the Cacio Pepe and it was decent and may have been better if served hot. The Gamberi dish was not worth the $38 as the shrimp was over cooked. The best dish may have been the chicken parmigiana. Overall, we were disappointed with our experience and sadly will not be returning.
Be the first to ReplyPatio is beautiful, I would highly recommend booking out
Patio is beautiful, I would highly recommend booking out there, the inside is also nice but very dark, small and loud. The food was very good, though small portions for the price. We tried several dishes the ricotta was delicious, the octopus very tender and flavorful and cheese fritters wonderful. The bruschetta (crostini de stracciatella)and fritto misto were just ok. The bucatini pasta and caccio e Pepe both very good. The monkfish entree was good though just a bit salty and the portion not very big for 44$. The potato's were awesome. Our friends had tiramisu which they liked, we had the chocolate cake which is described as gooey but reminded us more if a chewy, thick fudge, wouldn't recommend that one. The drinks were good though pricey. Service started our very rough (our waiter took a long time to show up, finally did then disappeared for a long time again) but got better as the evening went on. Overall good experience and good, though pricey, food.

Excellent service with upscale bistro vibe, Trattoria Sophia did not disappoint. Located in the trendy Heights with convenient valet parking this restaurant hit all the right notes. Excellent moderately price wines by the glass as well as bottle was a great start to grotto misto served with a delicious aioli. Do not miss the Ricotta di Pecora but leave room for shared entrees- we especially enjoyed the bucatini with homemade noodles. The tiramisu at Trattoria my new fave on Houston, and the olive oil cake is also noteworthy. After a bit of a rough start and opening pangs, Sofia ranks among the best in town. Definitely make reservations!

This was a new restaurant in Houston I had been wanting to try out. When it was time for my birthday I had to get a reservation there. The ambiance of the restaurant was very well done. Dim lighting and all booth seating, which I love! I had the bucatini alla pesto and it was so good. I'm a HUGE pesto lover so it was right up my alley. We split a bottle of pinot noir which was a good choice. They gave me a pistachio gelato on the house for my birthday was delicious. Will be going back for sure!

Although it's not a traditional pesto, it is beyond great! definitely will come back for this. The rest of the menu was alright. They were very accommodating for my friend who is vegan!
Be the first to ReplyIf you want pesto.
.. this is the place! Keep in mind it is not your traditional pesto, as they use pistachios. But the combinations of this is unbelievable!
Be the first to ReplyAwesome food! Great kids menu with homemade spaghetti.
Great service and friendly staff.

I was in Houston last week for a private art show and had dinner here with a friend. Superb. That word refers to the service, the setting and most of all the meal. The meal started with a lovely glass of red wine and my friend and I shared the Fire-roasted escarole (SCAROLA ARROSTO), and fire roasted octopus (POLPO ARROSTO). For dessert we had the melt in your mouth dessert BUDINO AL CARAMELLA which had so many layers of flavor. There are not enough words to describe just how incredible this meal was and I suggest you check it out for yourself. It's so worth it..
