Cozy Italian
Our favorite neighborhood place! We love it there: the food is consistently good, good wine selection. The arancini ball yummy, penne a la vodka tasty, the pizza with mushrooms and sausage, and the one with onions and eggplants, both great, the swordfish special fantastic.

Was at mt sinai checking in my wife for surgery and need lunch. Had to show my vac card to sit inside. Greatly appreciated. Had house made pappardel with duck confit. Awesome. Sat at the bar. Service was excellent too.
Be the first to ReplyJust okay
Had a lengthy MD appointment nearby and after reading reviews, opted for some Italian fare. We sat in the outdoor area constructed during Covid times in the street. It was basic table and chairs, nothing fancy. Inside had an old school pizzeria feel.
Service was okay. It was happy hour so I started with a tasty aperol spritz, my husband got a glass of okay table red.
We wanted pasta as an entree and all sounded really good but we were sorely disappointed with a greasy eggplant sauce. The pasta tasted heated over, gummy and exceptionally dense. My husband said his plain pasta was just okay. No bread or any extras served and the portions were light for Italian. We skipped coffee and dessert.
Great Lunch!
We came across Tre Otto while strolling down Madison Ave. The service was a little slow for not being too busy, but the staff was friendly and helpful. Our lunch was great! I would definitely suggest the Margherita Pizze. The pizza alone is worth a stop.

Sweet Italian place! Great in the neighborhood. Love the food, the ambiance, the staff. Bibi the bartender, and the Kevin our waiter were the best. They had great music going, it was lovely. Swordfish was excellent (tender, with a yummy sauce and juicy grape tomatoes and capers and crisp fingerling potatoes) and lasagna was delicious. Good wine selection. We had a cozy, corner table in back. Love going there! ❤️
Be the first to ReplyVery nice cozy Italian
Very nice cozy Italian. Went on a Sunday night of a holiday weekend. It was maybe a third full at 8 pm Service was prompt and friendly. The ambiance is warm and inviting though It’s quite dim and we needed our phones to read the menu. The wine list is limited- five reds to choose from. Ordered calamari appetizer, gnocchi bolognese and linguini carbonara. The calamari was large but a little soggy and the marinara sauce was ok but uninspired. Both entrees were absolutely delicious. Overall a nice experience.

Had an early dinner here didn't need a reservation
Decorated nicely for Christmas. Wait staff friendly very attentive.
Deep fried calamari was very crispy and not chewy very good starter.
My wife had the gnocchi was just okay. I had the papardelli which was perfect.
For Desert I had the affagatto which was delicious. . Very reasonable priced meal
Very good happy hour drink prices
Lovely little Italian Restaurant.
Lovely little Italian Restaurant. It’s especially nice when they offer gluten free pasta so that I could enjoy duck confit ragu. My friend had a pizza which she enjoyed as well. I like their wine list as well.
Be the first to ReplyPrettty good neighborhood Italian restaurant
Found this restaurant near Mt Sinai hospital and dined with colleagues. Pros - food quality was good (I had shrimp risotto - a bit bland; but colleagues loved the ravioli with butter and sage). Cons - strange ambience - very dark inside (like they don't want you to see what's going on), but neon bar signs, and a very bright, non-user friendly "tablet" drink menu. Service was sporadic. A bit expensive - over $50 each for one drink and pasta entrees, along with one shared appetizer.
Be the first to ReplyMy local, with a nice spacious bar area (unusual for a restaurant)
Really nice atmosphere and a wide variety of customers make this place my go to. 4-5 beers on tap (including Guinness), and a happy hour on draft beer and a couple of wines from 3pm-7pm. Food is very tasty across the spectrum and very good value too. Bibi and Olti are stars, handling customers with the right mix of humor and tact. Note: it hasn't been opening for lunch during the Summer, so call ahead before heading there if that was your plan. Only buts: the back area / main dining room is a little dark and dingy, so stick to the main bar if you can. Also you can be unlucky sometimes and the food can come out barely warm, so needs to be sent back.
