As a group we have been here many times over several years. Generally a nice vibe and good beers. Was let down on Fri 10 Jun 22. Reserved table wasn't set out and didn't seem to have a record of the booking made on line (not a problem as wasn't busy); was told one of the bar staff was off sick so they were short handed. Wasn't a problem. Ordered food and I questionned Jessica why I was charged £2.50 more than the menu price of £7.50 for a sharing plate of nachos. She passed me over to another barman who told me the menu was printed wrong. I said they should sell it at the advertised price. I was told if I paid £7.50 I would not get a sharing plate's worth of nachos. I said that was illegal and again suggested to the barman they should sell as advertised or tell people its £10 nog £7.50 when they order as their menu is wrong. Barman wasn't having any of it so I backed off to stop this spoiling our night out. Tried ordering some wine but was told their till system hadn't got all the prices entered right so choise was restricted. A pain, but we could live with that. But on balance, we are going to look for a new venue after many years of being happy here. The booking going missing was not a problem, £2.50 itself isn't the problem, not being able to order the wine you want isn't a problem, but the barman's attitude is! If he is the manager, there lies the problem.
