Service was the best part of a great meal
What a beautiful and delicious restaurant. Everything we ate from the croquets to roasted carrots was delicious. But the best part was Edward our waiter, he was so friendly and helpful. His hospitality made our dining experience exemplary.

Tapas plates are always fun because you get to try lots of flavors. We tried the blue crab peppers, pork belly, and anchovy tempura. They also had some delicious specialty cocktails. Fun atmosphere. Dining inside or outside.

Found this restaurant by googling best restaurants in South Beach (didn’t check it on TripAdvisor, our mistake). It’s in a lovely location on Espanola pedestrian walkway. The restaurant is very attractive. Ambiance was great. Loved the potential of tapas and bar with infused gin varieties. The positives: gin drinks were imaginative, fun and tasty. The tuna and blue crab tapas dishes were great, particularly the blue crab! The pork belly, not so much. It was very dried out - not succulent like pork belly everywhere else. We didn’t eat it. To his credit the waiter realized we didn’t care for it and took it back without charging for it. He also explained that’s how they prepare it (meaning not succulent). The negatives: the mushroom dish came out lukewarm and undercooked, so we asked if it could be heated. No problem. It came back after being reheated but similarly lukewarm and SO over-salted that it was not enjoyable at all. Very disappointing! The so so: the Duck paella…I agree with other reviews that the serving size was small for a $39 “large” plate. If only it didn’t taste mediocre I would not take issue with it. Maybe it was an off night?? Never been there before so I wouldn’t know. The greeter/maitre d’ couldn’t have been more kind or apologetic. He is a gem!!

The location is hidden no sign very hard to find. The food is less than average with outrageous prices. The small Paella was a small shriveled up duck leg with over cooked dried rice $39 Just horrible and a very disappointing experience Michael
Be the first to ReplyProbably better options in this neighborhood.
We were disappointed for the most part with this experience. It seemed VERY odd that the bar did not offer rum drinks - had mostly gin. Food was just OK. The "large plate" of duck confit paella did not even feed one person, and we're light eaters. Atmosphere, service and experience was nothing better than OK.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food with a bar vibe.
Went on a Friday night. Small dining room with large (busy) bar. Agree with other reviews that it is a little bit loud and dark, but that is the vibe we expected. Tapas, bread and cocktails were really great. Churros were perfect. Server was friendly. Prices seemed about right for South Beach. Definitely worth a visit.

Wow the variety of gin! Feel overwhelmed? Trust the bartender to fix you up something based on your taste. This has the feel of a local joint
Be the first to ReplyI highly recommend this restaurant
Excellent all around! delicious food and great service. I can't recommend just one dish, all I tried was superb.
Be the first to ReplyFantastic food, brilliant service and wonderful setting
Best restaurant in Maimi. They say save the best until last and we ate here on the last night of our holiday. This is an incredible restaurant in a beautiful setting. Overall just superb. Easy booking, great table outdoors, fantastic food, and the service was immaculate, thank you.

Much anticipated holiday in south beach with my husband planned before the pandemic and postponed twice. Found what we thought was this gem of a restaurant at the bottom end of Espanola Way. Chose from the limited menu - which we thought would be a good thing - 3 tapas and a ‘main’ dish and a jug of cava sangria. The sangria was nice - thank goodness at $59! The tapas arrived first; pan con tomate €12 - one slice of sourdough with pieces of heirloom yellow tomato, tuna ajo blanco - a saucer sized amount of uninspiring diced tuna and gambas al ajillo €21 - 6 prawns albeit big and firm and nicely swimming in a garlic oil. The ‘main’ of paella duck confit and chorizo €39 arrived almost 20 minutes later, the smallest paella I have experienced, no bigger than the preceding tapas, the equivalent of 3 spoons of tasteless, over cooked rice, topped with a solitary duck leg and a teaspoon of mayonnaise. After waiting so long, we ate it - when I say ‘we’, I did the noble ‘oh, you have it’ when I saw how little food there was, definitely not enough to share!! Shame on you Tropezon! Even when my husband and I commented to the server that the dish was tasteless, no apology was given, no consolation. At these prices, I would say, save your hard earned cash and go somewhere else. At least you won’t have to go and eat toast when you get back to your hotel!!
Be the first to ReplyExcellent food, drink and atmosphere in South Beach at Trooezon Miami
An amazing first time experience at Tropezon Miami. Location is convenient to Ocean Drive and Collins in South Beach. Food is Spanish cuisine, a combination of small plates and entrees and a nice selection of sweets. Gin focussed cocktails also are exceptionally good. For our food we had a salad and three small plates we shared for two. We especially liked the grilled vegetables the pan tomato and the Spanish omelet. Reservations recommended.
Be the first to ReplyTasty Spanish dining on beautiful Espanola Way
I dined at Tropezon a couple of times last spring and loved its authentic Spanish cooking as well as its beautiful interior in the new Esme Hotel. So when the restaurant offered a Sherry and Tapas Tasting, I signed up. Because Tropical Storm Nicole was on the verge of blowing through Miami Beach, everyone cancelled their reservation except four of us. We had a fantasticly cozy time with our sherry expert Derek, who brought out dishes to share that we had loved at dinner, such as charcoal tempura sardines and duck confit. Tropezon is a great addition to the Beach!
Be the first to ReplyQue Bueno Tropezón !
Tropezón!! Perfect name for our visit. We were walking around and found it ! Great place for tapas and designer drinks. Very good. We are locals and we will come back. Española way has a great addition . We had the pork belly , carrots , manchego cheese , pan con tomate and bellota jamón and pan con tomate ! We sat at the bar and were well take. Care of by the couple bartending. We liked it. We will be back.
Be the first to ReplyNice place but tortilla española extremely small
Place is nice and has a good atmosphere, however it is too cold inside. Maybe it would be better to ask for a table outside. Drinks were ok, food was good but not incredible. We ordered bread with tomato and garlic (very good), hummus (very good), papas bravas (very good), and tortilla española but this was extremely small!! Expensive for a size like that.
Be the first to ReplyGreat spot for Tapas
Was taken there by a niece who used to live in the area. Great tasting tapas and excellent service with staff connecting with customers in a personal way. Classy decor, quiet atmosphere.
Be the first to ReplyJust Great!
We popped in to this great little spot at first only based on it lookes cute and they were playing traditional ska music! The music got us in and proved to be a great night. The drinks were superb, the food devine. We had planned on just one drink and stayed for hours because of a few things. -Great bartende, she had great energy! -Posotive fun vibe throughout the staff -Best music playlist I've heard maybe! -Beautiful interior Just go here and thank me later, it's the best on this little strip we thought!
Be the first to ReplyThe manager was a shame
Very good food and also the waiter was good. when we asked where our cocktail was after a long wait the bartender insulted us. The manager arrived and she was a disaster claiming the we were aggressive to her. We are still in shock! The company running this place should put more attention to the staff they put to host their client in such a great place with good food!
Be the first to Reply$8 for a shrimp
The food is good, and also wine. But this place is hugely overpriced. $24 (including tips) for three gambas (this is precisely the size of a portion) is not normal. Also $30 for several tiny peases of jamon.
Be the first to ReplyIts one step above Average but not good enough for Very Good
Went on a Saturday night w/a friend. I summer in Andalusia every year... and I was really looking forward to eating here. My overall impression is 'meh'. First of all, the place was freezing cold. Everybody inside (mostly locals) was wearing a jacket or a sweater. We had to ask twice for them to lower the aircon. 2nd... the food is ok but not really good. We ordered the tortilla which was tasteless, the gambas al ajillo were actual shrimps not gambas and just ok. We ate the fish of the day and this was the only thing that was actually nice and tasty. The worse was that they brought everything together at the same time. Tapas should be spaced out. Nobody warned us about this. The whole experience was pricey for what it was.
Be the first to Replya very good tapas place
My husband and I went to Tropezón for dinner while visiting Miami Beach. Overall, the vibe was great and the food was excellent.
I found out about the restaurant from Eater's list of popular winter 2022 restaurants. It did not disappoint. It was relatively easy to get a day-of the reservation, and the restaurant was packed until late night. It’s a very buzzy spot with certainly a different clientele then what goes on at the beaches.
The patatas bravas were excellent and probably the best dish we had, and we ended up ordering two servings. It had the right amount of crispiness mixed with a lot of flavor. ...Not just a bunch of cubed potatoes with some sauce on top. The shishitos came in a sweet glaze sauce, which was a bit different than how they normally come. We also ordered the rice with chorizo, which was delightful once it cooled down in temperature! The Jamon appetizer was probably the most traditional and the most normal of the dishes that we ordered, kind of pricey and a bit missable.
The wine list is very nice and had a very good selection of by the glass wines. They also had a huge selection of Sherries and vermouth, and many tables ordered Sherry, including ours. It was fun to explore a type of wine that’s not that common.
Service here was very comprehensive and fast. They had a lot of servers and hostesses, so we never felt ignored.
Overall, a very good experience at Tropezón.
Super tapas
Enjoyed a few excellent plates of tapas, a wonderful dessert and very good drinks in this small restaurant on Espanola Way, This is one of at least five restaurants on the stretch which are not just for tourists, The stylish clientele seemed to know their way around the menu, We relied on our wonderful server, Scarlett.Based on our experience, reservations would seem a must any night of the week.
The only problem is that the newly renovated premises could use some sound absorption materials as the noise levels at both this restaurant and an adjoining restaurant in the same building are high,
Great new spot!
Great atmosphere with lots
Of good tapas menu choices! My husband and I came here on a date night and had an amazing time. The service was really prompt and with the tapas style menu we never waited long for anything. Everything we had was really good; our favorites were the jamon and queso manchengo, garlic shrimp and chicken Andaluz. My husband loved the grapefruit infused gin and tonic. Definitely a place for a great night out!
Stylish and delicious
Loved our experience - from service to food and beautiful people watching! It has a great bar scene as well. Will be back!
Be the first to ReplySmall intimate with great service and food
We went to Miami last and we visited here twice the first was very impromptu. The bar staff were amazing we ate great food and the gin is excellent.
Above all else the intimate ambiance was perfect and is somewhere I would recommend to anyone visiting south beach
