Small, charming and rich with flavors.
One of the best Italian restaurants I've been to around the world. Make a reservation and go.

So I have to get a dumb ass lamb chank.

One thing about me that I never shut up about is that I studied abroad in Florence, Italy during undergrad. Why is this relevant? There were a few things I learned while there. One, my favorite "standard" dish ever is cacio e pepe and I have it wherever I go. I consider myself a bit of an expert when it comes to cacio e pepe. Second, good tiramisu is actually pretty hard to find.Again, why is this relevant? I would consider there to be a sliding scale of cacio e pepe, from the great kind (the one you find in Rome's Trastevere) to the bad kind that is glorified fettuccine alfredo.I would consider the dish I had at Trullo to be pretty much right in the middle of the scale. I think if it had been more toward the high end this would have gotten four stars, vice three. Overall, the food is not bad, and the burrata was quite nice, so would I recommend? Probably! Don't let my preference for a certain dish totally turn you off to this place.

Came by for dinner the other night and it was a tasty, albeit warm and sweaty experience... Made a reservation online and my table was ready upon arrival. The menu at Trullo changes daily. As a Michelin Bib Gourmand, I had high expectations! The waiter was fantastic and guided me towards the burrata as an appetizer and it was a winner. The burrata was very soft and seasoned perfectly with a touch of pepper and salt. The super ripe peaches complemented this appetizer nicely. ...it was rather warm on the street level dining room even both doors open. The basement appeared to be air conditioned and also featured 3 tiny loos.Had the Tagliarini pasta as a main course and it was delightful. Pasta was super fresh and light. The pasta was topped with some crispy onions which was excellent.Added a side of wilted spinach and it was cooked perfectly with a generous portion.Super glad that I ordered the Zabaglione for dessert as it was a refreshing way to end dinner topped with some fresh fruit.~£48 after GST, Service and donation to Ukraine that was already added to the bill. They take cards.

Best Italian I've had in London so far!! Compared to the Chicago Italian I'm used to, this is spot on! We made a reservation on open table a few weeks in advance and it was worth it. The menu was delicious. It changes often too. We started with a bottle of wine and some nduja bruschetta. It was spicy but creamy from the creme fraiche. The cacio e pepe and Ragu were so tasty!! The cheese is my favorite but the ragu was super tender and flavorful. Overall I would recommend it for sure!

Now open on Sunday evenings! Though relatively tiny (12 or 13 tables) they have an 8-page wine list, dominated be Italian offerings. I enjoyed thinly slivered sea bass with delicate tomatoes, adorned with a light dressing of olive oil. Delightful. My main was grilled trout accompanied by tuna carpaccio with capers, anchovies, tomato, and cucumber...the perfect accompaniment. Every bite delicious. I enjoyed a catarratto wine with my meal that hinted at oranges and sunshine. Chocolate and salted caramel tart to finish, just right. All in all a terrific meal. Go and enjoy for yourself, but be warned that you will need to book.

The lunch at Tullo started w a-get-the-weekend-started Friday midday cocktail. The food was fresh and delicious - I made plans to have dinner that same night!

This is a really cute place to have dinner and catch up with friends. A local friend suggested it, as she heard many good good things from her colleagues. We sat downstairs, in what seems was a converted cellar. The waitstaff was attentive and the food was gourmet. Trust the waitstaff when it comes to portions and recommendations- we shared the burrata starter and then each ordered a small (starter) pasta as a main and we were still hungry after, so we ordered a main to split- and we were stuffed. It was all delicious- the pappardelle was our favorite.

Made a reservation having never heard of it until reading a recent article where the chef of another place recommended it. That woman has taste as the food was spot on!The waiter had us at sirloin steak so then it was a matter of how to fit in a pasta as well. The pappardelle with sausage ragu was beautiful. It was a lovely light sauce & the homemade pasta was perfection. The waiter saw us trying to slurp up the sauce with our fork & offered us more bread to help...YES PLEASE!! The steak with polenta chip balls and green leaf side salad came out next. It was huge. Cooked rare, it was perfectly grilled on the outside & bright print on the inside. And the polenta was divine. Even the side salad, which was fairly simple, was a perfect accompaniment to the rest of the dish. This place isn't cheap but well worth the visit. Food & service was excellent.

Really don't understand all of the rave reviews about this place. I was really excited to dine here after reading so much about it, and was able to walk in at 6:15. Had pasta with beans which was ok, nothing special, and the lamb which I found to be very fatty, but better than the pasta. Bread and olive oil was delicious and my favourite part of the meal. One thing that irks me is when the server asks if you would like a refill on your soda, and then you see on the bill it's another £3. After all the hype, I ultimately found it to be overpriced and not as good as other offerings in the area.

There are many good Italian places in London and many boast fresh pasta but this place is simply unbeatable. Although the grilled pork shop was something I'd eyed, we decided to do a trio of the pastas and we were very content. Perfect ambience for dating or a lovely dinner as well. Will definitely come again!

Had dinner here last night, was an enjoyable evening with good food. Had asparagus to start, expensive for what it was, but lovely and well cooked. Pork chop for main, was nice, my father in law said it was the best pork chop he has had in years - high praise! I wouldn't go that far, but it was nice. Tiramasu wasn't the best, but the peppermint tea was delicious. Great atmosphere, packed on a Tuesday evening, I recommend you book. Service v good.

Some odd reviews - it doesn't look Italian? So what - it's an Italian restaurant in London. It's run by Brits and most of the staff are Brits. Having an Italian 'feel' is hardly an indicator of quality. Onto the food: I've eaten here about 8 times over the past five years and it's always been uniquely excellent. They occasionally have an off dish but there's a reason I keep coming back. The service is great. The upstairs dining room is excellent, the downstairs one a little more poky.
