I was looking for an experience with all the hype Iโve read. Sadly, this is an average overpriced experience.

We are Austinites relocated to Colorado and this Uchi location is just like the original! We had an exceptional experience with Felix, he was awesome and recommending items and informing us about the menu. The quality of the food is so good & the creativity behind each dish is amazing. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a fresh, delicious meal
Be the first to ReplyB grade at best
Nothing special but very pricey for poorly cut sashimi. Excuses as to why it was prepared differently. This might fly will novice sushi customers but B grade at best. Pretty disappointed with the entire experience. Will not recommend or return.

The sushi here is not the traditional one. The chefs here have added their own personal flavor to the sushi dishes, resulting in a fusion style sushi. We ordered 16 different types of sushi and a dessert to top it off. While all of them were good, three of them stood out as our favorites - the Foie Gras, Walu Walu, and Dulcey Trifle. However, we were disappointed by the small sizes of the sushi pieces, which made the price point quite steep. Our server Wade was attentive and provided us with informative insights on the dishes. The other staff members were also quick to clear out the plates, making the dining experience quite enjoyable. In terms of quality and service, this place definitely met our expectations. However, the value for money was not up to par, especially given the small portion sizes. I think Sushi Den has all the qualities that Iโm looking for. The restaurant is quite busy, so we recommend making a reservation beforehand. Additionally, street parking can be a hassle, so we suggest taking advantage of the valet parking services.
Be the first to ReplyAn incredible experience
I am not familiar with a lot of the intricacies of ordering sushi. My experience with it has always been kind of mediocre to bad. However my daughter and son-in-law were visiting from Seattle and believe me, they know. They also had experienced Uchi several years ago in Austin as well. They treated us to dinner and I have to say I was a little intimidated. We got the omakase plus hot rock wagu beef and oh my....it was incredible. Service was equally wonderful and the attention to every detail was spectacular. We absolutely loved it.

So good! First time to Uchi. Grow house is on 2nd floor. Tried the 10 course meal and it was a great variety of Chefs specials and things I wouldnโt normally order but absolutely loved.

The food was absolutely delicious. Very vibrant flavors and unique presentations. The beef served on the hot rock was so good that my boyfriend I considered getting another order. I had a salad which was prepared as delicious lettuce wraps of ingredients. My server suggested that I eat it with my hands which seemed messy but she was right. All the ingredients are in each bite when eaten that way. Wonderful. Make sure to get a fried milk for dessert. You wonโt be sorry!

We went on a friends "must try" recommendation, and now can't tell enough people how delicious everything was. The menu was terrific, and he service from servers and sushi chefs alike was excellent. We sat at the sushi bar which I totally recommend for first timers, we got terrific suggestions from diners on both sides of us - which resulted is us trying items we may not have ordered from the menu. We got there early and it was packed at 4:30, they also have a special happy hour menu - Check it out!!!
Be the first to ReplyBest UCHI location
Uchi is our favorite place for sushi. The food and service makes the amazing experience. Uchi denver is the fourth location we have been to and this was nothing short from perfection. In the evening the Uchi sign lit up to welcome us with its modern exterior. Walking in was familiar with the red paisley wallpaper and light wooden beams. Our eyes were drawn to the ceiling where they have a circular glass window to peer into their rooftop garden. We were lucky to be seated at the sushi bar next to the head sushi chef, Jesรบs. He gave us a warm friendly smile with a head bow and asked how he could make our dining experience just as great as our others. After our introductions and knowing about my gluten allergy, he quickly got to work on our food. Each dish came out like works of art. The fish and rice were the most fresh I have ever had. The mouth watering sauces decorated the plates and also tickled our tastebuds with just enough flavor that had a long finish of exhaling deliciousness. Each sliver of fish was precisely laid on the plate with colorful garnish or flowers to create an Instagramable masterpiece (no filter needed). The food came out quickly and Jesรบs made sure we approved each bite. He gave us several gifts that we never had and each one made us crave more. The food was the best we have had at Uchi and the company from Jesรบs made Uchi Denver our favorite one!! Four thumbs up!!!

We had a great night out at Uchi. Our server was friendly and helpful. It was a nice busy evening, even for a Sunday. Davionโs was eclectic and energetic. We loved all the unique roles and sushi options. We did not leave hungry.
Be the first to ReplyMy favorite sushi restaurant
One of my favorite sushi restaurants in the world. Better than the uchi restaurants in Austin, which I love, and even better than the sushi I eat in Japan.

Denver has a very good casual dining scene in particular RiNo. This was by far my best meal during my 5 days in Denver. Still casual but food was a cut above. We took the chefs choice and he didnโt let us down. We sat at the counter so had direct dialogue with our chef who explained each dish. I would recommend this.
Be the first to ReplyReally great!
Great sushi, great drinks, cool atmosphere and friendly service. The happy hour menu is great for a solo diner as itโs smaller portions. Would most definitely recommend.

The food (snow crab, beef tartare, bluefin chutoro sashimi among others were delicious). The service was very good as were the cocktails. The wine list was average and Uchi is very expensive! All in all -outstanding (you get what you pay for)

Amazing food! Best sushi ever! Iโve eaten great sushi in Miami, New York & Vegas but Uchi takes the cake. Service was impeccable as well.
Be the first to ReplyAttitude with your eats
Food is good, I think sushi den has better quality fish and larger portions but Uchi was good definitely a more fancy and creative modern sushi. Staff is insanely rude, horrible arrogance associated with the restaurant, not what I would expect from fellow Texans (owners). I hate nothing more than attitude with my ears!

Amazing happy hour!! Staff is very knowledgeable and the building is beautiful. Absolutely one of the best restaurants in Denver.

My brother and I celebrated our birthday's here and they truly took care of us. I just want to say a big thank you to Maggie the manager and our server Brittany for being so accommodating and welcoming. In these times it is often the case that special requests are a challenge. Maggie was able to set my mind at ease ahead of time and Brittany was attentive and kept the food coming during dinner. Definitely recommend the Omakase - all 4 of us enjoyed what the chief recommended. We ordered several extra helpings - Fatty Tuna & Raw Scallops (both highly recommended). This is the place to spend your hard earned cash and they will treat you right for it. Can't wait to come back for the next special occasion.

Such an interesting menu. We tried lots of different things. Each one was a taste sensation. I canโt wait to go again.

We had great expectations for my birthday dinner based on reviews. My son made reservations and we were promptly seated. First impressions, table, ambiance, location ok. Menu has some unusual offerings between Asian and western styles. We ordered a lot of dishes to try it all and they came steadily with no great disappointments until this one called Shag arrived. When I asked our server how they can sanitize wood effectively she told me with pride that all Uchi wood was sealed and sanitized through the dishwasher. When I asked if she considered the dish our food came on as sealed and pointed out the rough edges she refused to say anything else and politely left. I ask you , the reader, to decide...Is this type of plate and presentation in the pictures to be indicative of a quality restaurant? Yuk, I say. Expected better. So disappointed to see this type plate and even more disappointed in how my inquiry was handled. Luckily this was one of our last dishes so we quickly wrapped up our sub-par experience here and left.
