Delicious with amazing service!
Stopped in here on the way to another spot and was pleasantly surprised! We were sat immediately and even a few minutes later the hostess moved us to another table (unprompted) because of a cold draft. Food was quick and delicious. Mentioned it was my birthday weekend and the waitress brought us ice cream…. So good!

Italian restaurant The Caesar salad and rigatoni were excellent. About $50 per person The service was very slow. Above average

Really nice ambiance in a great location but food is okay. Nothing outstanding and not worth the price point. There are better options in Manhattan!
Be the first to ReplyGreat food and very welcoming and friendly
Friendly, modern and welcoming restaurant with good, solid menu, polite, helpful staff and 2 minutes from Madison Square Park (not Garden). Food is very good and there was something for all of us (no red meat and one vegetarian). Lovely atmosphere, stylish decor and a great selection of drinks Would highly recommend if planning to book dinner in midtown.

An amazing experience with awesome service and food to match. We needed everything to be gluten-free and they delivered an incredible experience.
Be the first to ReplyBirthday dinner in the big city
Our daughter took my wife and I to NYC for my birthday dinner, and she chose Upland!! I have never heard of the Starr restaurant group, but I like it! Michael was our server and did a great job. Very attentive and patient. We tried the pizza, misti frito, the lobster cavatelli, and the short ribs. Beautifully plated and very tasty. They brought out a very nice rasberry sorbet for my birthday. Wow. I will definitely go again if ever in the city. Loved it!!

We recently visited for brunch to celebrate our anniversary and the team really spoiled us for service - the anniversary card and sweet treats were such a lovely touch; we really appreciated them! The staff bent over backwards to make sure we were happy, well-fed and well-sauced throughout. The food itself was delicious with the donuts, pappardelle and the lobster cavatelli being the real standout dishes. We would've stayed for more if the itinerary had allowed, but we'll definitely be back!

Lovely restaurant with great ambiance. The food was mediocre though - especially the overcooked pizza. Burrata and pear/ walnut salad were tasty though but I didn’t appreciate the hard sell by the sommelier who kept trying to sell me a glass of Pinot noir without giving me the price tag!

We didn’t have a reservation for brunch, but they still worked to get us in. Really appreciated that! Great coffee and the brunch was OUTSTANDING. The little gem salad and salmon were perfect. They accommodated my request to change the salad dressing. The whole ambiance of the place is really nice too. Service was a little slow, but we were in no rush.
Be the first to ReplyMust go for the duck wings alone
This was a great spot. Both indoor and outdoor seating. We ate indoor due to the heat and it’s a large, high ceiling room with great atmosphere. Service was excellent and friendly. The food was delicious. The real standout were the duck wings. The skin was crisp, the meat was tender and the came with a delicious yuzu kosho oil. It was one of the best things I’ve had in a long time. We ended up getting a second order. The only miss for me was the cacio e pepe had too much cheese grated over the plate and kind of made the sauce less creamy. Still, this was an excellent meal and I will go back even if I only ordered the duck wings.

Upland is the perfect spot to taste the American flavors. This Californian inspired restaurant did not disappoint. Although I only ordered take out from them, the food was still warm and very fresh. Their pasta was the perfect consistency. Not too soft, not too hard. The sausage adds savoriness and the kale def absorbed some flavors too. Overall this was an amazing dish, don't regret having this.
Be the first to ReplyUpscale at its finest
Upland is a fun, upscale restaurant serving an American menu consisting of pizzas, pastas, beef, fish, and chicken. We went around 7:15 pm and the place was packed, but luckily we had reservation. The menu is extensive. To start, they gave our table a delicious challah bread and some olive oil. It was fluffy and tasty. For appetizers my friends shared the Little Gem salad which was a huge portion. This was not an appetizer portion, it is definitely enough for two to split. The salad was simple, fresh, and delicious. I had the sausage and kale pizza which had fresh ingredients and was a personal size. The crust was thin and had a nice crunch to it. My friend got the pappardelle pasta which he described as delicious. This place has a cozy, cool, vibe with great service, but the price point is not inexpensive. As mentioned the service was outstanding, no shortage of help here and everyone was on their game. I would definitely go back.

Buzzy bright place for a weekend brunch with friends and family. Comprehensive menu! Spicy Bloody Marys are spicy so beware! Salads and all the mains we had were great. Servers were extremely polite and aware of our needs with young children.
Be the first to ReplyPretty Tasty Upland 345 Park Ave S. New York
The restaurant is gorgeous, built around a California-inspired philosophy, the atmosphere very cozy and friendly. Clean, elegant and sophisticated. The staff are efficient and helpful. The food is very tasty we like the branzino, salmon, pasta and margherita pizza as well, dessert are delicious we love carrot cake and ice creams. The music is too loud.
Be the first to ReplyAll fur cost and no knickers
As we say in the UK this place is all fur coat and no knickers. Great location and atmosphere… buzzing and clearly the place to be seen but very little substance. Food was ok but not more than that.., massively rushed which makes you think hardly anything is that fresh as it comes out so quickly it must be pre prepared. You could easily be in and out in an hour…. There is no savouring the email experience here. I’d save your money and go somewhere with more substance.
Be the first to ReplyRush rush. Eat faster
Rush rush. We went here on An evening. Service was not great. Between our first and second corse there was 30 seconds in between. We had to rush because the main dish was alteady there. We came for a relaxing evening and we just had to dat quickly because the chef Made the dishes to fast. We spoke to the maitre and he said. "He does that often". So. Great food. Really noisy inside. Not a client experience but rush rush. To bad
Be the first to ReplyNice brunch place
A great brunch location. Good service and interesting choices. Very good eggs Benedict that are not heavy and with just the right sauce. The beef tartare was hand cut and was very flavoured. Portions are big big but adequate.

What a find! this place is a well oiled machine, with great staff, an interesting menu and a fab environment. We are staying around the corner and for three nights have not gone past this place. While many restaurants in NYC are tired, Upland is a great exception…you feel like you are in the old NYC. Well done to management.
Be the first to ReplyWonderful brunch
Shared doughnuts and the jalepeno biscuit sandwich. Both were great choices. Our reservation was at 10:15am on a Sunday and we were seated at 10:00 and were out by 10:40 without feeling rushed - just great, efficient service.coffee was great, bill ended up being around $45. Recommend!
Be the first to ReplyGreat good. Great service. Lovely environment
Great lunch time meal. Lovely environment. I reserved earlier in the day and was only offered the outdoor space. On arrival asked to switch inside which they did with ease.
Be the first to ReplyBest dinner in new york!
So glad we came! We had the duck legs for starter and beef ribs for main sharer
They were absolutely divine! We didn't have room for more but wish we could have tried dessert too
The best dinner we had in new york and such friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere
Memorable dishes
The Little Gem Salad, Crispy Roots, Grilled Artichokes, and Crispy Duck Wings were our favorites! I still recall the texture of that salad with shaved ricotta (didn't know they could shave ricotta!) made it so light and fluffy!
Be the first to ReplyBrunch Perfect
Brunch in the City has many options and if your on the east side you need to check out Uplands. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Inside is a very nice mix of seating- bar, long tables, standard 2/4 tops and rounds. Atmosphere is perfect for a relaxing enjoyable visit. Terrence our server was wonderful.
Menu is not overly large but the offerings are varied and different. Eggs in Hell - a different take on eggs that are baked in small pot with spicy Fresno chilis. Also wonderful grain bowl called California Breakfast bowl. The starter of Upland donuts were very fresh, doughy and wonderful.
Upland has gone downhill
Made reservation 3pm Sat.
Arrive 3pm and taken to outside table.
Told at 3:05 pm that kitchen is closed 3-5.
We left.
Thanks so much Upland. Won't be Up for your service again.
