😒 3/5 - Brand new restaurant, but very disappointing!

Based upon reviews for this restaurant, my wife and I attended on a Sunday evening for dinner and, hopefully, a bit of Russian flair.
Our server was good being friendly, helpful and efficient. We ordered the following:
(1a) 'Herring Under A Fur Coat', which was very disappointing due to the absolute lack of herring. Literally, lots of vegetables and a nice vinaigrette, but little herring. I had to search through and under my vegetables to find traces of the fish, which just did not come into fruition. My modest advice to the chef, change the name of this dish to 'Under A Fur Coat';
(1b) Borscht soup, was well appreciated with different textures and tastes;
(2) We both had the Coulibiac De Salmon, which was described as 'a cross between Salmon En Croute and a Salmon Wellington'. This was good, but not great. I prefer my salmon well done in the center, as opposed to raw; and
(3) Dessert was Poire Belle Helene with Castella, almond dacquoise, pear mousse and sauce au chocolat. This was presented nicely, but was not memorable.
My wife was not drinking, but I fancied a glass of chardonnay with my main course. The sommelier dealt with this, as opposed to our server (for clarification that will become apparent later in the text). On the menu was advertised a $17 of Phillipe Colin Le Prince Despierres, Burgundy, 2017. On viewing my receipt I had been served a $34 glass of GL Bitouzet Mersault. Nice, but it seems I had been cheekily sold this without being informed of the change.
On a final note, whilst our personal server was good, a great deal of attention was being paid by staff to the table next to ours. We have no problem with this, save it became a little annoying that staff had bumped into our table on more than one occasion in the process.
For those of you looking for that contemporary or traditional Russian flair, perhaps go somewhere else until they get it right!
