Reservations are hard to come by because they save most of their tables for walk-ins, so go early (probably like 5/5:30pm depending on the day) to put your name down on the waitlist. Walk across to Bar Pisellino to have a cocktail until you're called. Congratulate yourself because you've just nailed date night in the WV. You can't go wrong with ordering, everything is great, so just pick whatever your heart desires :)

My boyfriend and I came here for dinner on a Friday night and all tables were filled with a long line of standbys - I highly recommend having a reservation. We were seated swiftly by the staff who were very quick and efficient at turning over tables. We had the grilled anchovies special and some bread and olive oil to start. The anchovies were fresh and delicious however the bread was a bit stale and the crust was tough. For our mains, we had the wild boar pappardelle and cacio e pepe. Both were delicious but I personally like the flavor of the pappardelle more. We finished with the olive oil panna cotta which was my favorite item of the evening. It was simple yet well balanced in sweetness and texture. As for drinks, my boyfriend had some red wine recommended by our server and I was surprised to find out that they didn't have any soda or diet beverages. They only had house made orange or ginger soda which I opted for the ginger hoping it would be similar to ginger ale. It was quite spicy and I found it difficult to drink due to it resembling more of a medicine taste. Not the best selection here for non-alcoholic beverages, stick to water.

Finally figured out how to land a reservation at Via Carota! Although available on resy, I was never able to secure a reservation or make it off of the waitlist, so I walked in and inquired about dinner availability. I was kindly placed on a wait list for a perfect 8pm indoor dinner slot.. walk in seems like the way to do it and it's totally worth the wait! Food was delicious! For starters we enjoyed the arancini, bruschetta with butter and sardines (never had anything like it.. amazing!), and the wildly refreshing & massive insalata verde. Would do all those appetizers all over again next time! The verdure section on the menu is by far the largest, so next time I'd explore more options there. For pastas, we loved both the pappardelle in wild boar ragu and the tortelli with smoked ricotta, but the tortelli was the standout for me.. had a unique smokey and oniony flavor that I couldn't get enough of! We also ordered the Sicilian meatballs which were good but not the best.. the raisins made them a bit sweet and not my favorite flavor profile for meatballs. All in all, Via Carota exceeded my expectations between the heavenly Italian dinner, excellent service, and cozy ambiance. Excited to be back!

The hospitality was terrible. I had a reservation at 9:30. We were kicked out and hour and a half after because she needed to clean up the restaurant. We told her we were waiting for our Uber. We were forced to wait outside in the cold. I've never experienced such disrespect and poor hospitality. This restaurant treats their patrons like they are a burden to them. Don't go here unless you want to be kicked out early.

Yes I said it, it's the best. Not many restaurants In Nyc can do it so perfectly. Their spicy pork arancini is dangerously addicting. Pasta is something you have to order here but it's their risotto that took me to cloud 9.

5 restaurant. I've been wanting to try it for years and luckily it did not disappoint. Do note, this place is walk-in only and because it's very popular, you should expect a long wait. Or arrive at unusual dining times. Now on to the important part...the food! Pear and cheese bruschetta: very good. Surprised me since I'm usually not a bruschetta enthusiast. Brussel salad: this was so so good. It surpassed any expectations and I'd love more! Octopus: this is also good. Not mind blowing, but solid. Parpadelle with boar ragu: I had higher expectations especially since everyone raves about their homemade pasta and I love pasta. It was just okay. I wouldn't order it again, but perhaps try the other pasta options. The service is very attentive and their decor is charming.

I have never had such a disappointing dining experience as I have at this establishment. We were sat outside in the freezing cold and the heaters were not working or barely even on. We could see our breath just to give some context. The food was also subpar, within 5 minutes of the food being brought out it was cold. There were so many items that weren't available that we wanted. Myself and party were so cold that we almost got frostbite and hypothermia. Our waitress barely came out to take our order or ask us if we were ok because she was so cold as well. The treatment was honestly inhumane and the fact that this establishment thought it was acceptable to go seat parties outside without proper heating and insulation on one of the coldest days in NYC is honestly unacceptable.

The reception staff were a bit rude when my partner and I came in. However, when we sat down the waiters were fantastic and quick. The food was delicious! We had the risotto, insalata verde and branzino al sale. Will possibly return, hopefully I will have a much nicer welcome.

Yes, I am talking about a salad, but oh, this isn't just ANY salad. The salad dressing was just right, the combo of bibb lettuce and endive divine. We couldn't finish (in anticipation of many dishes to come) and I gladly took the leftovers home with me.As for the mains, we sampled the cacio e pepe, the wild boar ragu papardelle and the fried rabbit. Of the three, I would say the cacio e pepe is out of this world amazing, and the fried rabbit was crispy perfection. And how could I forget the dessert? It was a custard on top of fresh raspberries and it's so good, you'll wish it was appropriate to lick a plate when you're dining out of your own home, lol.All in all, this restaurant is wonderful. Great service, great wine, incredible food and a cozy atmosphere. I can't wait to return again, and perhaps order 2 salads, one to eat there, and a second to take home, lol.

My friends and I had Via Carota on our restaurant bucket list for quite some time thanks to an Instagram account that frequently posts celebrity sightings at this place. Also, the pasta looked really good. I made a reservation for us about two months in advance for an outside table at 9:30 pm (that was the only thing available). On the day of our reservation, I decided to pop by earlier (around 7:30) to see if they had any tables inside at an earlier time, and the super nice host said yes. That was awesome and we felt lucky. The service: Amazing. Really attentive and lovely servers, hosts, etc.The drinks: *Pretty* good, but pricey for what they are. We started with a round of aperol spritzes which tasted decent but were extremely expensive at $17. The food: We started with the arancini (4 rice balls), the burrata, and bread & olive oil. Between four people, these three apps felt sufficient. Still, we all agreed that each dish tasted pretty mediocre. For our main dishes, we ordered the Cacio Pepe (seen on many a TikTok), Tagliatelle, Pappardelle, & the Risotto. I LOVED the cacio pepe was but was surprised at the portion size -- it was really like a small bowl. The risotto was good but very lemon-y if you like that. My friend loved her pappardelle and felt the size was perfect and my other friend enjoyed the tagliatelle but felt it was too small. Overall, while the dishes were definitely tasty, we all agreed we'd had better pasta for cheaper prices. With the addition of a $67 bottle of Chianti (the cheapest red on their menu), our bill came out to about $100 a person. We were glad we checked Via Carota off our bucket list, but agreed we would not go back probably.

A friend who lives nearby introduced me to this bright star of a restaurant. There is outside seating with heaters but, since this seemed too cool, we opted to sit indoors. In all honesty, this was not much better as they had the door open and lots of cold air pouring in so we had to eat with a few layers on. The food and service made up for the chill in the air. There are a number of excellent typical and creative Italian appetizers, salads, pasta dishes, and entrees. The wine list focuses on Italian wines and has some very well selected options from different parts of the country. The decor reminded me of a French bistro. All in all, an enjoyable experience and I will be back. Generally this is a super busy restaurant so reservations are often necessary.

Obviously one expects great food from a restaurant with this reputation but the whole experience was just stunning. The reception, staff, setting and service match the beautiful dishes that kept surprising. A very satisfied and enjoyable lunch have here.

When my booking transfer initiated two days earlier but didn't complete by the day of the reservation, AT was able to expedite the transfer and confirm a table at Call Me Gaby in Miami Beach. Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?

Best Answer It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

Best Answer Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

Best Answer Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Best Answer Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

What happens if my bid expires unanswered?

Best Answer Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
