overall I expected more, but great food nonetheless.
Note: for a price of 320 euro + (per person without drinks, I am extremely strict and I am comparing to other 3 and 2 star restaurants, 3/5 is my final score for what i pay, its obviously fantastic food and better than 99% of places that exist. I came here in December, it was kind of my birthday celebration. We read in advance that the place doesn't like when people take pictures, we respected this rule. We didn't see anyone take a single picture, I asked in advance if I could make one for my birthday cake, they said it was fine. the total duration of this dinner is 5.5 hours. this for me is too long. Every single 2 and 3 star restaurant I ever did ( and I have done 4 3 stars and 10+ 2 stars) were around 4 max. 5.5 is just way too much. by the end you are exhausted. in addition we were really annoyed by the fact that we didn't order cheese, yet somehow it didn't speed up our deserts. it really felt that not having cheese, it doesn't change the time you wait, so we had a long wait in between 2 courses, when we could see everyone else eat cheese. ( I wish I could have taken a pic of the cheese, the most disappointing cheese plate i ever saw in a Michelin restaurant ) 3 slices of Compte... for me what I also missed was a meat dish. I understand the menu the chef chose, but for me there wasn't a single dish that was "memorable" all were nice and good, but nothing that I could write "wow must try" which is something I do think 3 star places should have. Having eaten in Mirazur and El Celler De Can Roca, that was for me a different experience ( for around the same price ) I do very much appreciate the birthday cake they made, that was really nice. staff was very friendly and spoke English perfectly.

The restaurant combines exceptional French products with Japanese flavors and techniques in a kaiseki spirit. Each dish is not just to satisfy your appetite, but a work of art Chef Bau command of seafood and seasoning is awe inspiring. He’s at the top of his game. The whole service team was extremely friendly and nice while always being professionell to the point. We are privileged to have such a great restaurant just by border. It will not be my last visit. Thank you for making my birthday a great one!

Prepaid Reservation Fee

When you sell a reservation that has a prepaid fee AT takes a commission on that fee. This doesn’t really make sense because it’s an expense the seller incurs not part of the profit that is shared.
For example:
Carbone NYC fee to book table for 2 is $108.88
If you sell it for $200 on AT you get $140 from them.
Your net profit is $31 and AT collects $60 in fees.
It would make more sense not to charge commission on the upfront fee as this creates a disincentive and results in higher costs for buyers.

Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
