Exceptional service
Where do l begin ? From the moment we stepped in, the exceptional service began, everyone greeted you as you walked by. The restaurant hadn’t opened at this stage so we were shown to a private table with breathtaking views of Melbourne, where we both enjoyed a pre dinner drink. We were then taken to our table in the restaurant and the exceptional experience began. 13 small courses of the most highest quality delicious tasting food, “talk about a party in your mouth”. Do yourselves a favour and indulge yourselves in this unbelievable experience, you won’t regret it.

We had an amazing experience for our anniversary - the staff were so friendly and attentive, helping us to have a flawless dinner , the meals were so delicious, stunning and sumptuous. highly recommend this place for a special celebration
Be the first to ReplyGreat Views and drink
Finding the entrance to Lui Bar in Vue De Monde was a bit of an adventure, but once we made it in, we were spoiled to have all the spontaneous drinks and yummy food. The sunset views from the bar were absolutely stunning. This is definately a great and romantic place for a kids free couple date night. The entire experience was wonderful until it came time to settle the bill upon leaving the bar. We were taken aback when the bartender mentioned their reliance on tips from tourists, contrasting with the local custom of minimal tipping and we live in melbourne. This left us with mixed feelings as we departed, especially after paying a substantial bill with high service charges. While we're not sure if we're overthinking it, the encounter did leave us feeling slightly awkward.

Outstanding service made this an experience we will never forget! From the welcome and entry right through to our departure we felt special. Our table staff Jasmine and Sommelier Fergus made every moment and interaction memorable. Finishing our evening with a private balcony view of the city and our favourite music playing was spectacular! The mouth watering food was a bonus for this amazing evening. Extra special mention to Stewart who took apart the balcony on the 55th floor to retrieve my husbands dropped phone the next morning!
Be the first to ReplyStunning degustation experience
We had an amazing experience for our recent degustation lunch - from being welcomed, to the numerous attentive, friendly and knowledgeable staff, the stunning and sumptuous feast, the views from the 55th floor and even the awesome basin in the bathroom! Thoroughly recommend this place for a special celebration that will remain a favourite memory for many years to come.

Dreadful service, will never go back unfortunately as the food was amazing. Too many good choices in Mekbourne and surrounds now to be treated as badly as we were.

This was dining at its best. The atmosphere, the food, the setting. All hit the mark. It was amazing food. We were taken on a tour of the kitchen and out to decking which was extraordinary. Thoroughly enjoyed it, we will be back.
Be the first to ReplyEverything is incredible!
We’ve got a present from our children: a dinner in this restaurant . So we visited it and everything can be described as incredible: service, view,, food and even cutlery. The restaurant is placed on 55th floor so probably all city can be seen, especially in evening time with streets and vehicles lights. Service was so extremely professional and friendly , that you can feel that everyone of restaurant staff is serving particularly your table. We even had a kitchen tour. And picture with restaurant staff. Regarding food , honestly at beginning I had concerns about very small portions size, but at the final stage of dinner we were full. All dishes were extremely delicious. Only one small thing, which was negative for us that some of sauces and lobster soup were too salty in our taste. Presentation of dishes is also incredible. Some dishes comes on or in stones. Cutlery is also special and placed on wood from vineyards. This place is really unique experience. It is not cheap place but it worth it.

One of the best meals in Melb. Great view too. A rather long dinner but you dont feel it with all the showmanship. And the food was brilliant.

I came to this restaurant with my family for dinner and I had the feeling that this restaurant is very polite and warm in the way of service. The night view is great and you can enjoy the whole view from the top. Well worth the experience.
Be the first to ReplyNot Deserving of a 3 Hat rating. 1 Hat at best!
The servers lacked in almost all expectations. Wine Som was a D+. Zero personality & wine quality was average at best. Food was impressive!
Be the first to ReplyExceptional!
One of the best culinary experiences I have ever had. Food was sublime, service exceptional It’s hard to explain how special the visit to this restaurant is and I’m not surprised that it has obtained ‘3 hats’. The attention to detail is second to none. I would give more than 5 stars if possible
Be the first to ReplyIf you live in Australia this should be on your bucket list
What stands out perhaps the most about this place is the quality of the service staff (sorry Chef the food was really good too) and the manner in which they rotate around the room rather than you having to be stuck with someone who knows their cheese but knows naff all about tea. It was a faultless team performance from the moment we checked in. The food was indeed superb and as they say in 'The Menu' it is not to be eaten rather experienced. The comparison to the film is uncanny with the exception of the ending - no spoilers. Each portion is small but just the right size although as you start the marathon you have the niggly feeling that you might have to stop off at Maccas on the way home to fill up. By plate #12 you have undone the belt 2 notches and are not at all sure you have the room for 'one more waffer'. The decor is decidedly not vegan friendly with leather topped tables to animal skin chairs but most of the time it works. One small niggle, as the sun goes down the toilets become almost impossible to navigate without a flash light. The only other observation for tweaking would be a wider variety of non alcoholic options. The wine and the teas are second to none but for those of us who can't consume the booze there is not even a zero alcohol beer to quench the thirst. All in all, definitely worth remortgaging the house or selling a spare kidney before you die.

What started off as a wonderful evening/experience went downhill after the last main course, before desert. We were sitting at the table for about 15-20 mins after the table was cleared, with just water and had to ask a passing staff member "Is there anymore courses? We're not sure what's happening!" Things got quite loose in the service around then. Was a 7:30 booking and left after the dessert courses just before midnight. Maybe we didn't spend enought $$. We certainly did. Bad finish.
Be the first to ReplyTop fine dining establishment
Experienced fine dine, we expected big things to match UK Michelin quality. The service was top drawer as you'd expect, quite a dark and moody place. Quite literally smoke and mirrors. There is always things to improve and personal preferences. For me they looked to go for that digital wine menu which is cool, how about some digital food menu to refer to. I like knowing what's coming up and reflect on previous dishes, just felt a bit led by the very good staff. A nice switch of people introducing the dishes was a good touch, all v friendly and passionate. Definitely give this a try for that special occasion

We went to the Vue De Monde on visiting Melbourne after some years. The food was amazing and the service was at a level you generally don't experience. We had a lady called Nicole who waited on out table, and then show us around the kitchen when we had finished. The meal presentation was different to when we last visited but was still a meal of a lifetime.
Be the first to ReplyAbsolutely fantastic!
Absolutely one of the best dining experiences we’ve had. The food was incredible but what made it extra special was the attention to detail - making an effort to acknowledge and celebrate a birthday and the friendly and polished staff who noticed every detail. Highly recommended.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent Brunch
Great versions of some traditional brunch dishes plus a few extra. Coffee would be worth visiting for on its own. Good service. Went there twice and would happily return.
Be the first to ReplyAn impeccable dinner, simple the best in class!
Our party of 8 dined in the Dom Perignon room at this exquisite restaurant for my wife's birthday. The setting and decor was breathtaking with an unbeatable view of Melbourne city by night. From the moment we stepped in, we were warmly greeted by the staff. Kudos to Hugo and his team (Hugh, Raj and Carlos) who were so friendly and eager to ensure we had the best experience ever. What followed was an amazingly delectable 14 course meal worthy of any 3 star Michelin restaurant (see picture), and better than most we have visited. To us, what sets Vue De Monde apart other than the food, is the enthusiasm and passion of the staff. We had probably the best dining experience ever. This is a must visit place for you if you are looking for fine dining in Melbourne.

Be the first to ReplyWorth the $$$$ for a special occasion
I really wanted to try Vue de Monde for my birthday, unluckily this happens to fall on a public holiday. The surcharge definitely rubbed salt in the wound from the bill ($3059 six people; 3 with the cheapest matched wines). But the meal was amazing so no regrets! The staff really know how to make you feel welcome, they are friendly and impeccable and I can’t thank them enough. The view was amazing and the food to die for. The marron curry and damper so good! The soufflé with billy tea ice cream -yummo! Loved the use of Australian native ingredients! The extra theatrics were also a great touch, liquid nitrogen, the churned butter, and the impressive wagyu cut. All adding a special feel to the evening. Perhaps they were a little stingy on the wine pours, as I sometimes felt I could have used more, and the matches were pretty good. I was getting pretty full by the cheese platter so couldn’t really eat the crackers to save room for the sweet courses. Glad I ticked this one off the list! Definitely recommend!
Be the first to Reply30th Birthday
Came here for my 30th birthday with my parents. Had been on my bucket list for many years, and finally decided to tick it off. Booking was made via Opentable. Surprised that you are not able to book direct to Vue de Monde. Staff were very friendly and helpful, giving you a full description of each meal being served. Each food item was modern and had a modern appearance. Each table was beautifully presented. This is the place to try foods you would never try elsewhere. The cheese cart was an incredible addition to the night. The sea snail was a liking of mine, didn't smell great, however tasted good. Negative: Golden beetroot granita. Horrible, was not to my taste. A massive thanks to Executive Chef Hugh Allen, Head Chef Chris Marshall and the whole team at Vue de monde to help celebrate my 30th birthday in style.
Be the first to ReplyBest service in the country!!!
My husband took me to Vue de Monde for our anniversary recently and WOW WOW WOW!!! Course after course of incredible food. I can't eat gluten and at most restaurants this means a lot of changes to the food and often store bought gluten free bread but not at Vue de Monde. Every dish looked identical to my husbands with an occasional reminder from the staff to not share a particular dish.
Speaking of the staff they were the absolute highlight of the experience. We were taken care of by Ben and James and they were both incredible. I have been to many fine dining restaurants in the country where a waiter comes and explains a dish and then the wine waiter explains a wine and everything feels so disjointed. Ben and James clearly work hard at giving a seamless experience as a team so the whole meal feels like a single experience, often drawing from the rest of the team such as having chefs deliver dishes they had prepared themselves and even a lovely chat with the lovely restaurant manager (I forgot his name but he mentioned he was from Portugal). Ben organised a lovely card signed by the whole team for our anniversary which was the sweetest touch and James gave us the most incredible wine pairing where he had an incredible story to tell with every wine (and cider) that was poured.
After a recent dinner at Attica left me disappointed and Quay in Sydney having the most robotic staff imaginable, it's so incredible to finally see good fine dining in Australia once again.
Crazy good
We have been to quite a few fine dinning restaurants recently and seemed to be have been let down constantly. Finally……we found a gem. Thanks for bringing fine dinning back into our good books!

Wow, what an experience. I was fortunate to be invited to make up the numbers after a colleague pulled out at the last minute.
Lucky me.
The food was incredible with each offering somehow raising the bar higher. No mean feat given we were blown away with the first dish.
To a man the staff were fabulous. Every one of them was a testament to the attention to detail so in evidence right across the board in this fine establishment.
Alex in particular, helped us with wines and was a lot of fun.
The view wasn’t bad either.
Highly recommended to anyone wanting to experience one of the finest dining options in a city known for great restaurants.
