Luxury by the Beach
"I had a wonderful stay at W South Beach! The hotel's modern design, beachfront location, and attentive staff made my visit truly enjoyable. The rooms were spacious and well-appointed, providing a comfortable retreat after a day of exploring Miami Beach. The hotel's amenities and dining options were also excellent. I highly recommend W South Beach for a luxurious and relaxing getaway."
5 Star Service
Stayed here many times as its our favorite hotel in South Beach. Great Pool, amazing breakfast, lobby, fitness center all amazing. We used the beach chairs this trip and had a great time. I wanted to take a moment and shout out one of the Managers - Marcus. We were walking down the hallway, and he saw us (clearly we were checking out), he paused his brief training session with 2 of his fellow team members, and walked us down to the front desk. He rolled my gf's bag down as well! Stellar service, above and beyond what we would have expected. Kudos to you and your team Marcus. Note that all the team members this stay/trip were exceptional. Keep it up W SB.
Ian on the beach great guy.
Ian on the beach great guy. Very attentive and very nice. Set us up close to the Atlantic. Stopped back to check on us. Made it a great morning.
W south beach - Anhony
I came with my friends, and Anthony helped us and we had the best day! Great great service from him! The chairs were amazing and Anthony helped us out the entire day!
Anthony's Service
I always come to Miami on A business, but it is my first time to South Beach. He made my experience unique with his service and making my life easier as I am overwhelmed with the beautiful view of South Beach. He got the server immediately, provided the towels, and made sure we are set.
One of my favorite hotels ever! Ann at check in is so
One of my favorite hotels ever! Ann at check in is so pleasant and thorough, she answered all of my questions and got us checked in easily. Tyler, Danny, Juice and Ian at the pool and beach were always ready to help. I'm so glad this stay solidified W South Beach as one of my favorite properties, despite being under Marriott now. The rooms here are so gorgeous with the most amazing view and amenities/grounds are meticulously kept. See you soon, W South Beach.
Loved everything about the W South Beach!
This is my first time visiting Miami for a conference at the Fontainebleau. I opted to stay at the W as the Fontainebleau had a lot of bad reviews, and for the price point, I was looking for something comparable. The W South Beach exceeded all my expectations, and I am glad I stayed here. The property is beautiful and chic, the pool and beach are well taken care of, and the staff is super friendly and provides excellent service. All the hotel staff, from the bellmen to the front desk and the housecleaners, take time to say hello and welcome you. They all ensure you know they are here to help you should you require anything. Now the rooms—wow. I stayed in an ocean-view room with a balcony. It had stunning views, comfy beds, and excellent water pressure in the shower. The mini bar and snacks were well stocked. Room service had solid options, and the turndown service chocolates were tasty. The W also provides bottled water each day at Turndown. Additionally, I arrived well before check-in and was given access to the dressing rooms. The amenities in the dressing rooms were also lovely. I could change into my swimsuit to lounge by the pool while waiting for my room to be ready. Should I return to South Beach, I would 100% stay at the W again. The only negative thing I can think of is that I wish my stay was longer.
One of the best 5 star hotels on South Beach
The W is fabulously located on South Beach, walking distance to the Art Deco area and the shops, bars, hotels and other attractions. The rooms are fabulous (we had an ocean view suite) and the views up and down South Beach are simply stunning 🤩 A fabulous pool area with ample beds and cabanas (expensive to hire like everywhere in Miami) and a great private area on the beach. Pool and Beach drinks and food service are first class. The bars and restaurants are the only area that let the W down if you are after a buzzing party atmosphere. But you are 3 minutes away from many incredible bars and restaurants. The hotel staff are amazingly helpful and they even helped us take home a little special memento from the hotel that we wanted to remember our time in Miami. Fabulous and hard to fault.
Subpar service at a hotel with very loud construction
W Hotel review Let me start off that I made a mistake of booking a later date than the one intended. Instead of correcting the reservation immediately, especially at 66% capacity and arriving around 4pm, no rooms were available apparently. No one at the actual hotel could remedy the situation, so instead I had to call a Bonvoy number as a platinum member. Which also did not get recognized or acknowledged at the hotel until a manager came. Even though I saw a whole role of desks that said “Bonvoy.” I never did figure out what those gentlemen did other than direct me elsewhere. My personal concierge Blanca came to apologize and promised that she would call when the room was ready in 30 minutes. 2 hours in the hotel lobby later, no one from the hotel approached us, offered any area to wait versus the small two seater right in front of the check in. A manager finally came by to say that the room was ready and that a $200 F&B would be applied upon check out. That also was a nightmare as I had to retelll the whole story to a new employee in order for her to apply my discount when checking out. I stayed for one night, and was very excited. Between the super late check-in, no dedicated Monvoy platinum and above help desks to help expedite any issues, super loud construction starting early all day, and what looked like very dated pool cabanas - don’t think there’s much to enjoy outdoors. Also, if you’re wanting anything from room service, expect about an hour or more. Even for something as simple as 2 drinks and a double shot of espresso. What a shame as I had high expectations, and the suite we did end up getting was beautiful. I used my points and upgrade. I would not pay the regular rate for this hotel.
Not up to expectations
Upon arrival - and despite announcing by email our slightly early arrival time - we were informed that the room was not ready. (later we learned that housekeeping doesn't even start until 10am). Then after waiting 2 hours there was an attempt to scam us out of our upgrade and suite night awards and put us in a standard room, which I of course resisted and asked for the situation to be escalated. Finally after almost 3 hours we got the intended room. The room was very nice - a 1 bedroom suite with partial ocean view and a small 2nd bathroom which is very convenient for the family. The gym is also very nice and well equipped with a nice variety of equipment, dumbbells, cardio machines, etc. It was one of the highlights of the visit. Food and room service were very good quality although ridiculously overpriced. The cheapness of the management and the lack of control Marriott now has of it's hotels shows up in several areas: - No free breakfast for Titanium members. Only a 40% discount on the grossly overpriced breakfast menu, which puts the cost of breakfast at just slightly more than the nearby restaurants. This is atrocious and should be rectified by Marriott corporate. - Housekeeping obviously works only limited hours. That was the cause of our late check in as mentioned earlier, but we also asked for housekeeping one day during the time we were out for breakfast and it didn't happen - the explanation is that housekeeping doesn't start so early. - $75/day resort fee for essentially nothing, or as my wife and I decided, a $75 cup of coffee each morning. - Reception is small and there's always a queue due to size and limited staff. Why try to save money by upsetting people on arrival? The pool area is cramped and small. Pool itself was heated nicely but the area really feels like people stacked on top of people. Beach area is OK, but it's a public beach and there were drunks and druggies out there among the guests, and apparently they have more rights and privileges than guests. For a $1000+/night hotel, there should be no service flaws, no extra charges, proper treatment of elite members, and no signs of "skimping" by management. Hence the 3 star review. We would not go back.

Anna and her team could not have made our stay more
Anna and her team could not have made our stay more enjoyable. Her commitment to her team and the guest experience is unmatched by any other I have experienced at other SOBE hotels. From the moment we got to the pool Anna and her team's attention to details may have gone overlooked by other guests, but not us. Something as small as always coming back to a dry towel is a small gesture that is both thoughtful and allowed me to feel even more relaxed. As the head of HR for a large company I can't help but listen and observe leaders; and Anna is an amazing leader. From the moment her team members arrived she gave them clear and specific instructions to ensure an elevated guest experience. She did so with kindness and assertiveness ensuring that everyone, including the guest, were set up for the best day possible. If Anna would move to Pittsburgh I would offer her a leadership position without hesitation. She possesses skills that I struggle to teach executives. She is someone that I would have my eye on for advancement in the very near future.
Bar options great at the W South Beach.
Love that you can get drinks at the pool bar even if you are not staying there. The dining area on the other side of the courtyard has great outdoor space. Love anything South Beach and love anything W Hotels. Check it out if you're in the area.
Nothing bad to say about this place.
From the moment I walked in until the day i left, all staff were way above the normal service of any hotel I have visited. Yes, it's a bit pricey...but the service and ambiance was perfect for us. It is just north enough of south beach that is safe, yet still walking distance (just over a mile.). The first night we opted for using the complimentary hotel car and then realized it was walking distance. The bar was poppin with a band and drinks were decent. The breakfast is the only gripe. For the price of the rooms, and the prices on the menu...you'd think the food would be top notch. It wasn't. Overpriced, subpar, and staff did lack here. Chicken sausage was served to one person at my table, but the same sausage at buffet was labeled as pork. I pointed this out but server didn't seem interested. If I visit Miami Beach again, I'll likely try another hotel, but only because there's so many to choose from. But I would recommend in general.
I had a disappointing experience at the W Hotel due to
I had a disappointing experience at the W Hotel due to inaccurate information provided at check-in, leading to billing errors. In addition various mistakes throughout my stay. They just have a standard "we are sorry " reaction. I appreciate the apology, but the goal should be not to make the mistakes in the first place, 10 apologies in 2 days, just look like they got that part. . The lack of attention to detail and mismanagement left me unsatisfied with the overall service.
We only stay here when we're in South Beach.
With that being said, every time we have stayed there it has consequently gotten worse. This past trip, I vowed would be our last stay there. Upon checking in I greeted the desk attendant, yes I said hello. I asked for a complimentary room upgrade because of my Marriott status and was told, "unfortunately, you've requested a high level room and all of our upgrades are on lower levels so we can't accommodate you today." The right thing would have been to offer me the room regardless. We had booked a cabana before flying in, and plans changed, we no longer needed the cabana. Pool attendees told me I could cancel free of charge since it was early. Front desk was like "nope, they're wrong. Full charge if you don't take the cabana today." Not until I raised hell and spoke to a manager did they remove the charge. We went to the pool, nobody approached us, or offered menus. I had to ask. I watched a young pool employee openly flirting and catering to a group of females the whole time while we sat around looking for someone to give us some menus. At the beach they tried to sell me a day bed, "how about we lower the price?" I explained we wouldn't be there that long and wouldn't need a day bed. I totally understand the hotel isn't as busy around this time and needs to upsell but everything came off so unprofessional. A relaxing two day trip turned sour and stressful because of lack of attentiveness and customer care. I couldn't wait to check out, and go home unfortunately.
Rented a chair and umbrella on a beautiful Saturday morning.
Everyone working the beach was so attentive, nice, and consistently checking in. You are greeted with a menu and towels. I had their guacamole dip and a coke. It was such a nice refreshing kick to my experience. Will definitely go back!
If your planing a stay in South Beach and want great views
If your planing a stay in South Beach and want great views and awesome service then W South Beach is you place. From arrival to departure the staff was amazing. The hotel is beautiful inside and out. Upon arriving we were greeted by Joe the bellman which he assisted us with our luggage and was very knowledge about the area, such as restaurants at the hotel and around the area. He gave us great recommendations. At the front desk we were assisted by Maria who did a great job at checkin us in. Once arriving into the room you have a hallway which to the left is your bathroom and shower and right your closet area. Passing the hallway you'll have your bed and tv. Past the bed your lounging area with a sofa and two single seated sofa seats. Then the best part the patio area over seeing the beach and ocean. Fabulous views. We also experienced the pool area, super chill and mellow. Drinks are amazing and refreshing. Once you head to the beach you have staff assisting and arranging you where you can sit and enjoy the sun and warm water. The housekeeping team also did a fabulous job. We stepped out of the room and by the time we came back our room was serviced. Again if you want to have a great stay in South Beach I highly recommend the W. Great hotel and 5 star service
Mel helped me out a lot.
Very excellent service. I'm so elated how i was treat definitely will be back again. One thing is missing is music. Music is calming and relaxing hopefully when i come again you guys will have music. Other than that the service was superb.

Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it? |
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid? |
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted. |
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from? |
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered? |
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.

I am new to this site and just recently bought a reservation here. I noticed that on the reservation page, it is booked under a random name and a virtual email address.
I can't find any button to change either the name or the email for this reservation I bought. So, should I just say that random name when I arrived at the restaurant? Not really sure about the procedures.
