Great Meals
My coworker brought me here after a client meeting next block. Not a so obvious place that you will just walk in. All servers are young. The food is good. It comes with the sesame in a bowl and pull some sort of sauce. Very good to go with the meats, whatever you order.
I came here again by myself twice and still enjoy it.
Tasty Huge Portions
Bit of a language barrier when you walk in; they let you know it's time to get down to the business of eating. Biggest piece of chicken tonkatsu I've ever seen; tasted great.

I got the Wako Ramen, it... Was... Delicious! We had Soju & Hite beer. This place was exactly what my hubby and I were looking for, for our first time in Korea town. The service was great, friendly & the waiter explained everything to us in such a polite manner.
Be the first to ReplyHorrible Horrible Customer Service!
The food is okay, but the service is rude. BEYOND rude. My husband and I were there yesterday waiting for my nephew. The restaurant was empty, and the server JADON (after he had already seated us) told us we had to go stand outside in the cold because my nephew wasn't there yet. Again, the restaurant was empty. There were 4 customers and about 10 empty tables. We had only been there 10 minutes. My husband and I are senior citizens and I don't understand how Jadon could kick us out of an empty restaurant to stand in the cold for 10 minutes.
The food isn't worth being treated worse than a dog.
Good donkasu at a decent price
Good Donkasu for a decent price. Not life changing but good place to go when you feel like you want some donkasu.

You gotta go try it. Can't say enough about the fresh, tasty, unbelievably generously portioned meal for mere $10. My favorite is the vary basic port cutlet served with rice, salad, miso, and sesame seed, which you have to grind with mortar and pestle. Nice anviance and friendly service. Great for lunch/dinner for a date and family as well.

Cool place that has a line up to be seated. Everything in here comes with something deep fried.
Each pork, chicken or seafood piece is breaded with Japanese panko crumbs and fried nice and golden.
They do a great job on the frying and the Japanese rice they include for dishes is excellent. It would've received a higher rating if the pork was more moist; however, this place is good without a doubt.
Worth The Price

As I arrived to the plaza before reaching the restaurant, there were huge lines everywhere to each restaurant, but for some reason this particular restaurant didn't have a line. In fact I just opened the door and walked in. It was kind of empty. Usually when you see that, it's because something is usually wrong with the restaurant, however in this case I never even had that thought. Something seemed very strange, because I sensed that somehow the whole place had been expecting me.
I arrived there with many of my friends, and we all sat down. The interior decor was very nice, the music was pretty chill and wasn't too loud where you had to scream in order to talk. They had televisions so you had some sort of entertainment.
The menu was pretty simple and you couldn't really change the menu to how you wanted it, but some of my friends and I still ordered some food. I ordered the chicken Katsu (even though it looked small in the picture) and hoped for the best.
I WAS SURPRISED
The food quantity was great. In fact, most places are usually stingy with their food, but the amount of chicken that they gave me was on point, so much so I even shared some food with my friend and I still had so much left over. I really loved the fact that they gave me some sesame seeds and a pestle and mortar, I actually had the experience of grinding my own seeds which was awesome! They added some sort of sauce to it that totally made the Chicken Katsu DIVINE. The service was on point, and the food came out in less than 10 minutes, nothing was undercooked or overcooked, everything was cooked to perfection, and like I said, the amount of food that they give you was so worth the price.
Minutes later, a friend of a friend walked in, and within minutes, without us finding out until a bit later, the friend of the friend had paid for all of our meals and I was SOO GRATEFUL cause I was running a bit low but I was taken care of and I didn't know what to say other than to be grateful for the food, and say thank you.
All in all, this place was definitely a hole in the wall. In fact, this is the very first Japanese restaurant I've been to, and it definitely held up its worth.
It's for everyone to eat, you can bring children, dates, family or friends, but not so much for business unless you're comfortable with your co-workers.
Thank you for the honor of eating your food Wako Donkasu, you are worth the Price.
