We went on St Patrick's day for drinks and snacks.
Place was very happening and well decorated.

My friend & I had quite the lovely time here. We enjoyed the French 75s until we couldn't any longer! Great snacks, but even better custom French 75s. We asked for, and they delivered. What they did, I don't know, and I certainly didn't care. A great spot indeed! Don't hesitate to stop for a drink!

Wilfie! One of my favorite WV bars along with The Spaniard! They're actually sister bars so no wonder they're so great! Wilfie is great for after work drinks and late night snacks! Sasha is one of my favorites that work there!

It's tried and true, and I'll find time to visit every time I'm in the city. Food and Drinks - I've never had a bad meal here. Last night, we just had appetizers and drinks. We ordered the spinach and artichoke dip and the malt and vinegar chips. The portions are very generous and the food is reasonably priced. The drinks are inventive. Service - Super kind staff who will deliver your food and drinks quickly!Ambiance - Dimly light and always busy. If you're lucky to find a table, you could end up sitting here all evening!

A little pricey but i like the vibe. My partner use to come here and said its a great place for a drink and to warm up! A little loud but i am a fan!

We came to the spot after our brunch around 2pm. It got busy in an hour. Our server was extremely sweet and helpful. A cozy intimate spot for your next visit to west village

What a great spot! We came here on a friends recommendation and left super happy. First off, the place looks super cute, cozy and nice. You walk in to a comfortable bar space with tables peppered in throughout. The drinks were amazing. We got the West of 7th which is lemony and light. The cucumber gimlet was one of the better ones I've had. The best drink of the evening was definitely Upstate - it was like fall in a cup and absolutely delicious! The food was incredible too - the kale salad was so tasty and had such a great dressing, just a hint of onion without actually biting into any, and the toasted hazelnuts added the perfect crunch. The burger was great too - juicy, cooked perfectly well and the sauce was so good. Overall, loved everything we got here and the staff is super friendly too. Looking forward to going back and trying all the other things on the menu!

Cozy, moody and dark place with good beer list and attentive service.

We came for dinner on a Sunday evening and there was space available for two, I think that is good for bigger parties too. We ordered aged beef burger with fries, sparkling lemonade and a Shirley Temple. Also a big plus is that they had Valentina hot sauce for the table! My favorite and hard to find in restaurants.

We sat down at a table and brought our drinks from the bar that we had already been holding. She told us it was not allowed and that she was taking the table back from us because we didn't show "respect". We offered to venmo her and buy her a shot and she told us she only wanted our "respect" after calling us rude for buying a drink from the bar.

Came here on a Saturday night and get there early if you want to not be cramped or get a tableDrinks were okPros are though that the place is pretty sizeabel for a bar in the west village. All in all, a fun enough place to go but probably other spots to check out as well

Called with a simple question and was met with an incredibly condescending and rude man who made it clear my party wasn't welcomed there. Went to B'artusi instead and was met with kindness and hospitality. Wonder if the owners know or care that their staff turns potential customers off from spending money here so often. Too many decent WV places to settle for coming here.

I got sexually harassed here multiple times as an Asian woman, and the staff member (also an Asian woman) kicked me out because of it.

Came here because it was right across from Smalls and the show was sold out. It was a Monday night so it was not very crowded. The waitress serving us drinks was so kind and helpful and friendly, she even offered to hang our coats up for us which I thought was really nice of her hah. My friends and I just had drinks; I had the Christmas in Oaxaca which was surprisingly delicious, smooth rich almost cocoa like coffee with orange flavor, and the winter chill. The decor was cute and clean, an upscale chic pub vibe; definitely would be good for a drink on a week night date. Can't speak to the quality of food, but I otherwise thought this place was a great find and would come back!
Be the first to ReplyI have never met a ruder staff.
My friend blew out a candle for her birthday as a joke, the waitress screamed at us and kicked us out, yelling how rude we were as if we destroyed property or were behaving belligerently. Even the bouncer knew she was pretentious with a stick up her ass. Classic west village snobs. We will not be back.
Be the first to ReplyDoor man is super rude.
Don't ask him anything unless you want a passive condescending reply. Made us all feel awkward and didn't want to be there. Good drinks I guess though.

Blink and miss hole in the wall GEM! Quiet, and chill, speakeasy vibes while still being a bar. I want everyone to know about this joint while wanting to keep it secret! Thank you, Spencer!

ย Beautiful furniture inside with green velvet seating and wooden tables. A nice date spot. I also love the backstory behind this bar's name.

Update 2: the member of our party went to an allergist and confirmed they are only allergic to shellfish, so there is absolutely some kind of cross contamination in the kitchen. If you're allergic to shellfish, just stick to the drinks or bring an epi pen. an update- we called them the next day to ask about the ingredients in the scotch egg, the seasoning, and the pork sausage (as it was the scotch egg that caused the allergic reaction). They asked us to email them instead so the manager could let us know. So far, we've seen no response, which is frustrating as it's hard to know what to avoid to prevent another allergic reaction (the member of our party is not allergic to bread, eggs, or sausage). Overall just really disappointed by the lack of response or empathy in the situation

If I could give this place 0 stars I would simply based off of the hostess. We had a party of 5 and had one person show up 10 minutes late and she said they were at capacity but she sat him anyway. 10 minutes later she said he had to sit outside until people left, and then ended up kicking us out and telling us to never come back because we told her it was a little ridiculous she was making someone in our party leave in the middle of dinner... never going here again
Be the first to ReplyI'm really happy that we found this place.
This is definitely a hidden neighborhood bar that you would know if you lived in the area. I'm so glad we stumbled upon this gem, the drinks and malt fries were really good.
