Be the first to ReplyScallion pancake breakfast burrito is unreal.
Always crowded but so worth the wait. Highly recommend!
Be the first to ReplyI was really excited to come to win son, but felt
I was really excited to come to win son, but felt underwhelmed by the dishes. They fell short of my expectations. I expected the marinated cucumbers to be more refreshing, but they ended up being overly salty. Hualien egg bomb lacked the explosive egg yolk that I was expecting. The egg ratio to fried dough was very off. There could've been more egg and chili sauce overall. Pan-griddled pork buns were good. I didn't think they were that special though. There are definitely bigger and tastier ones in Chinatown. Scallion pancakes were average. I was expecting it to be more flakey and have layers, but the dough was one dimensional. O-a jian was really salty. It was hard to eat it, but there was a good amount of seafood in it.Dan bing was extremely salty as well. Skip it. The thickness of it is also very small. It's not your traditional dan bing, more like a rolled up French-styled omelet with Asian ingredients. Lu rou fan was my favorite. It was perfectly seasoned - savory and sweet. Beef roll was good. The scallion pancake wrapped around it was too thick considering how big each roll was. The sesame noodles were vinegary, but at the same time very hearty. The sesame flavor was very prominent. The danzi mian broth was very similar to instant ramen broth. Almost half of the dishes were too salted. It was hard to eat without drinking excessive amounts of water. I would really only come back for the lu rou fan and maybe try their bakery.
Be the first to ReplyHad dinner at Win Son for the first time last night.
Amazing!! All the food had interesting twists and were bursting with flavors. Two of the stand outs were the Sloppy Bao buns and the homemade sesame ice cream. Sooo good. Will definitely return. Prices were lower than expected. Overall a gem of a restaurant.

The quality of this restaurant has gone down so much since I first tried it a year ago. The prices are also double what they used to be. I hate writing bad reviews but honestly this was such a disappointment coming back and taking my friends here. Before, I used to think this was an authentic delicious taiwanese restaurant but it's become extremely commercialized and Americanized and lacks any quality or flavor. For Asian food in Brooklyn--birds of a feather is THE best and wen wen is so much better for Taiwanese food. My favorite dishes here are the oyster omelette and the fried eggplants. Beef rolls - $31, tiny portions and honestly extremely lacking in flavor and quality. You can literally find better beef rolls at any other Chinese restaurant for less than half the price.Sesame peanut noodles - also super lacking in flavor and anything special, honestly $2 peanut noodles at your local dumpling shop tastes better

Had a delicious brunch here for the second time (first time I came was somewhat close to when it first opened). I appreciate that they had benches outside, because you can't be seated until your whole party arrives, so I was able to read my book while waiting for my friend. There's a good amount of seating inside, and I like how things were decorated. Very aesthetically pleasing! I would def recommend ordering things to share. The portions were a little smaller, but the sesame noodles portion was bigger than I expected! That was also my favorite dish. I've never had sesame noodles with black sesame, so that was a nice surprise! I also really enjoyed the dan bing and my friend liked the pan-griddled pork buns. The you tiao we ordered also came nice and crispy. For the two of us, those four dishes left us feeling full, and we even got to take some stuff as leftovers. I would def recommend this place for brunch or dinner!

I came in a bit skeptical but curious to come check out Win Son. In the end, I think the food was pretty ok with some being better than others but kind of pricey.Pan griddled pork buns - this was my favorite dish that we ordered. It was nice and juicy and the accompanying sauce below was tasty too.You tiao - it was okay to me. I felt like the you tiao here came across a bit denser than I liked, the sauce it came with was not what I expected it at all. My boyfriend really enjoyed the sauce.Lu rou fan - while it tasted like pretty standard Lu rou fan, I did feel like the ratios were a bit off. For the price I would have expected there to be more meat and less rice for $31. I personally felt like without adding the chili oil, I wouldn't have enjoyed this.
Be the first to ReplyUsed to love to go Winson quite often when they just opened.
But my recent revisit everything seems way overpriced. the Lu Rou Fan was $31 dollars ? And so was most noodle dishes for over $30 dollarsThe rice was way too much proportionally to the sauce and the sauce was honestly just I would not recommend.
Be the first to ReplyI used to really like this place, but I feel like this last
I used to really like this place, but I feel like this last visit went downhill1. The wait: we went on a Sunday and I understand that it gets busy, but it took over 1.5 hours to get seated :( 2. Sesame noodles: For almost $30, these noodles were not worth it. It was good, but there weren't a lot of noodles and it was cold. There were also a looooot of peanuts so if you're into that it couldbe nice. Personally I felt like it overpowered the sesame flavor and the roasted peanuts were too hard for my liking. 3. Lu rou fan: I did not like this. There was way too much rice and not enough meat - and this dish was again close to $30. Not worth it in my opinion, and the meat sauce lacked flavor. Wouldn't get again and wouldn't recommend.4. Dan bing: this was basically a really thin scallion pancake fried with a layer of egg. This was delicious, it was soft, spongy and flavourful, but I didn't think it was worth $15. This dish is a really staple food in Taiwan and super easy (and cheap) to make at home, as much as I liked how it tasted, it was definitely overpriced.Overall in this neighborhood there's not much good Asian food so I understand why it gets so busy. Personally I'd rather go to Chinatown or flushing for authentic Taiwanese food that tastes much better and more affordable

Instantly walking inside expect to be hit with all the delicious smells. Service was prompt and wait was only 2 minutes, I happened to get in right before their 3pm clothing time. But I recommend making a reservation in advance. I had the the Fried eggplant and it was fantastic, it's listed as an appetizer but if your not very hungry it could be a small main, the creamy sauce it comes with is quite rich and really flavorful, topped with nuts, a really interesting and unique blend of flavors, loved it. The Marinated Cucumbers were crisp and delicious, they make a great starter before the meal. Pea Shoots were a perfect share portion, steamed to perfection with a hint of sesame, very tasty. The interior was basic, simple but cute, a bit on the louder side. Priced expensive.
Be the first to ReplyFabulous coffee, ambiance, and service.
I haven't tried any of the food but the staff are very accommodating and they do have gluten free options so this place may be a good option for celiacs as well. There is plenty of seating for remote work and even better there is lots of outlets. Definitely will be returning to this spot
Be the first to ReplyThis place did not disappoint.
My only regret was not ordering the chicken and waffles. I didn't order the chicken and waffles because it's white meat. But ended up ordering it to go for my partner. The flavor and seasoning for both chicken and waffles were phenomenal. Texture was soggy from sitting in the gravy but that's not their fault (but if you order it to go, make sure the gravy is on the side). The sesame noodles came out beautifully soft and chewy - whether it fresh/homemade or not, it was still delicious. Can't wait to go back. Menu is very carb-forward so make sure to get the pea shoots (perfect amount of garlic and umami) a- not pictured.
Be the first to ReplyGreat place to come get some great food.
I've been looking forward to coming here for a while, but the business hours never fit with the times I wanted to come in at (also feel like the hours posted are outdated). The service was friendly, but it does take a bit for your food to come out. However, it was definitely worth the wait.We got the Custard Toast, Veg Fan Tuan, and a Egg and Cheese Scallion Pancake to share. All three things were absolutely delicious. Very savory, great balance of flavor, overall incredible. Only thing is that the Custard Toast is a bit hard to cut into on the edge, but still amaze!!Looking forward to coming back and trying out more things from the menu.

Have been going here since 2017 and always love their Lu Rou Fan (braised pork rice bowl). All other dishes are good to try if you like Asian fusions.I believe it's getting more popular now so the price raises a bit. But that may just be the case for the whole Williamsburg.
Be the first to ReplyMochi donut, yum!Plenty of gluten free options.
Breakfast is very goodlove the bakery

So so so delicious!! The cucumber salad was so simple, but one of the best dishes I've ever had. The eggplant appetizer was unexpectedly rich with cashews and a yogurt sauce, but in a good way. The rolled beef was my favorite entrée - the beef was so tender and the outside roll was crispy and delicious. Warning- it's a bit messy to eat, but totally worth it. The only thing I didn't really like was the Lu Rou Fan - just didn't like the spices.
Be the first to ReplyThis place is so freaking good.
This place gets packed. My favorites are the Lu rou fan, big chicken box and the big chicken bun. Their breakfast/brunch is fantastic too
Be the first to ReplyThe vibes of this place is solid.
Had to wait 30min for a table on a Thursday so it def gets busy. He food was fire and the drinks were strong. 100% recommend you try this place out. Especially loved the pork buns. We also got the hibiscus infused whiskey drink and the lamb noodles, all very yummy.
Be the first to ReplyAMAZING.
I came here for fathers day and the wife made the reservation, I had my "reservations" so to speak being asian and all but let me tell you.BLOWN AWAY! the food was absolutely incredible, we ate and sampled almost everything on the menu. Everything was simply put DELICIOUS. I could not believe how good the food was. Service was impeccable and they took great care of us. I can not stress how good the food was. I highly recommend you try this place out. I'l let the pictures speak for themselves.

Ordered take out from here the other day and wow, it was tasty! Whoever thought to create a bacon, egg, and cheese with scallion pancake as the bread deserves an award. It was definitely very indulgent, so I probably wouldn't be able to eat it often, but if I really want to treat myself I'll definitely come here again.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing food and great prices.
The flavors and authenticity is second to none. Definitely keeps me coming back for more.
