😒
Let's start with the positives.
The ambiance is FIRE! Love, love, love the artwork and photographs. They really put a lot of thought into the design of this spot. The service was nothing short of EXCELLENT. You can tell that they are well-trained and have experience in fine dining. We felt very well taken care of and they seemed to really care about how we were doing and if we liked the food. Very personable but not too in your business. The drinks. WOW. They truly know how to make a margarita and they have CHIMAY. Need I say more? It should be noted that the best things were unrelated to the food. To start, my husband and I ordered: COCONUT SHRIMP ROLL - definitely tasty but I did not like the inclusion of the red bell pepper. That was odd. FRENCH FRIES - shoestring and very tasty CAESAR SALAD - would not order again. Drenched in not-so-tasty dressing and NO Parmesan. I had to request the cheese. I was taken aback when it was powdered instead of shaved Parmesan. For entrees, we got: EMERALD KALE & ROTISSERIE CHICKEN SALAD - they bodied this! WOw. Talk about good.PAN-ROASTED SALMON - would not order againListen, my main complaint had to do with the salmon. It had no flavor and was nothing to write home about. I expected it to be seasoned before pan-roasted. NOPE. It was not. I ate half, brought the other half home, seasoned it up and it was all right. I'm down to give Woodmont Grill a second and third try. My next visit will be for lunch. My third visit will be for dinner as there are noticeable differences between the lunch and dinner menus that intrigued me.

My family has been going to woodmont grill before it was
My family has been going to woodmont grill before it was even woodmont grill- back when it was called Houston's! The one thing that made this restaurant top notch was the consistency in service and food. Now, not only is the food inconsistent, but the service is absolute shit as well. The hostess was not friendly. Our first waitress was not friendly. The manager was not friendly. The second waitress was actually great but by then, I was already disappointed w our experience. So many (great) classic items are gone from the menu so the only entree that we wanted was the ribs. The coleslaw that came with it was disgustingly creamy.Ordered a coke and the glass of ice that came with it had like 3inch of water in it from the ice melting prior to it arriving to my table. I asked a waitress for a new glass of ice because.. who wants a watered down glass of coke? She rolled her eyes. I wasn't sure if she was rolling her eyes at my request or because she couldn't believe that someone had given me a glass of water for my coke. I decided to overlook it and didn't say anything even though I was pretty shocked by the eye rolling. You would have never gotten that at woodmont before. Now, after reading through recent reviews, it all makes sense. So many mention the horrible service + management, dining "rules" that make no sense, and decline in the food. It's a shame since we've always considered woodmont to be one of the best restaurants in the area

This place has majority 4 stars because it's factoring the YEARS of consistent great service that was in the PAST that made this the place to go. New management is really riding on those reviews. If you averaged the current reviews it's not 4 stars. I've been treated so well for less reasons and cause by far less reputable places. I really enjoy their au jus sandwich, I just can't bring myself to return with my family.
😍
If you are going to go here GET THE RIBS.
Hands down the best ribs I've ever had in my life. The rest of the food here was very delicious and worthy of 5 stars and the atmosphere is amazing, but the ribs are worth 6/5 stars if that was an option, which is coming from someone who normally doesn't order ribs at a restaurant.
🤮
Horrible food horrible staff and very bad service.
I've came here a few times and they are very rude and just nasty I wouldn't recommend it to a stray dog . Don't eat here if you have standards.

My friend and I visited Woodmont Grill on Sunday, March 13,
My friend and I visited Woodmont Grill on Sunday, March 13, 2022 at 5:45pm. We order drinks, then dinner. After we ordered dessert. My friend wanted a dessert drink instead and requested a Baileys with Amaretto. The waitress said it was their policy that they could not honor the request. We said we understood and it's not a problem. I then ordered from the waitress a baileys on the rocks and my friend ordered an amaretto on the rocks. The manager (Ramesh) came over and asked "how is your experience this evening?" I said well outside of the fact we can't order the preferred drink dinner was good. I then asked "why can't we have two separate drinks" and he said "he could not honor our drink order". I asked "why if we have two separate drinks". He said "because I know your intentions". At this point we felt disrespected and racially profiled because the couple sitting across from us (Caucasian) just finished sharing their drink and nothing was said to them. Because we had these questions, Ramesh now proceeds to say to us "we will have to cease services for you at this time"! We asked why?! And he could not give us a reason. I then went to the bar to see if they would make my drink order and they took it with no regard as the manager held with us. Ramesh now came to the bartender and told her not to serve me. I was not looking for service but more so if the actions of Ramesh was based on him racially profiling us or not, and it was, because the bartender took my order with no issue. The manager now came over to me and said that we now need to leave the premises and proceeded to call the police. Ramesh was extremely disrespectful with his tone, delivery and condescending manner to patrons because we wanted an Explanation as to why we can't buy these drinks yet the (Caucasian) couple across from use bought two different drinks and they poured in each other's glass. We have been avid Houston's / woodmont grill supportive patrons for 30+ years in the Rockville location before it closed and the Georgetown DC location years ago. I bring my clients to woodmont and have given rave reviews about the business. I await a response from corporate as this was extremely unprofessional and unacceptable. After reviewing more info on reviews, it appears the management at this location has been a challenging situation For other patrons.

Woodmont grill has been my favorite for years.
I even supported them during the pandemic. HOWEVER, now they've removed the best entrees from their pick up menu - and, seem to have discontinued pickup service. Worse, it doesn't say that clearly on their online menu so the customer is left thinking that they are hitting the wrong buttons. I tried to figure this out for 20 minutes before I called.Brittany the manager explained to me that they've chosen to focus on in-restaurant clientele. To me that sounds unfriendly to older people and people with risk factors. They no longer make their steaks or their bbq ribs available for pickup. In talking with me, Brittany was like a broken record, she kept telling me that she'd make an "accommodation" by letting me order them IN THE RESTAURANT (not in advance) and wait there to take them home. Insisting that a customer come to the restaurant, order and likely stand doesn't seem like a very friendly accommodation for an older person.Too bad, I used to go with everyone to Woodmont. But, given their exclusionary attitudes I'll have to find a new favorite.

My husband visited the Woodmont Grill on December 24, 2021.
I sent a formal complaint to the corporate office against the General Manager Nicole Hurst for the lack of courtesy, respect, and costumer service shown to my husband and have yet to receive a response as of March 8, 2022.It has been our Christmas Eve tradition to order carry out for Christmas dinner . This year I didn't notice the Hawaiian Ribeye on the take out menu. We live an hour away, therefore I called the restaurant at 11:19am to see if this item was available. I was informed that the Hawaiian Ribeye was not available to order online but could be ordered at the bar if I was willing to wait. When my husband arrived at the Woodmont Grill approximately 12:30pm he followed the instructions we received. I was flabbergasted when he informed me that Nicole Hurst insisted the the Hawaiian Ribeye only be served plated and required him to sit at the bar and pretend to eat a meal in order to carry it out. This treatment was totally uncalled for and humiliating. After arriving home we realized the broccolini was missing for the 2nd Hawaiian Ribeye. I called and was further insulted by Nicole. She informed me that the side for the 2nd order was a' la carte because "my husband was trying to get over" by taking the meal to go. I questioned how someone is getting over after paying $134.62 for dinner (not including gratuity) and not receiving what they ordered. There was no apology offered, and her statement, and treatment of my husband led me to believe that Nicole's actions were passive aggressive due to an implicit racial bias. I reminded her that he complied with her instructions and was told "he didn't have to and it's our choice to come here." I assure you we will NEVER return to the Woodmont Grill! This is not the quality of service I would expect from any restaurant, let alone one of this caliber.

I'm a regular here! Woodmont Grill is always a reliable option. I'm from Miami and would regularly frequent Hillstone's other restaurants such as Hillstone, Houston's. What I love about Woodmont Grill is the fact that it always is the same! The food taste as good as the last time, and the service is always appreciated. I began to frequent this restaurant more, as the DMV has sadly disappointed me in terms of food quality and service. I have spent my birthdays and special occasions at this restaurant and am grateful for its quality! Also, if you're ever craving a GOOD burger. This is the place.

My friend and I met here after a year of not seeing each
My friend and I met here after a year of not seeing each other though the pandemic. We ordered a bunch of food, cocktails and wine and planned to catch up over several hours. After a hour or so, we were asked to leave our table to allow other patrons to eat at the table. While not ideal, we ventured to the bar as the waitress recommended and had another cocktail there. While seated and enjoying our cocktails at the bar, the bartender asked us to move to the standing room positions at the bar to allow more people to eat dinners at the bar. We were not at all rowdy or I'll-mannered but we're effectively kicked out of two seats at the restaurant in one evening. If we were not constantly ordering something, one could call this loitering, but that was far from the case. We'll never be back. There are much more polite places to dine and catch up with friends in Bethesda.

Woodmont Grill, first let me start by saying the food was delicious and the waitresses were wonderful. As we were closing our tab waiting on the check, the manager came up to our table, and I " I am the manager, and you need to vacate this table. You only have 90 minutes to sit." We checked in at 1:45 pm. and ask for the check at 3:10 . He was past rude . My friend invited me there because she loved the place but because of this manager I don't know if she'll be back. I have never, and I do mean never met a Manager like him . By the way, there were 10 empty seats there..

The food at Woodmont Grill is outstanding, however the service has gone way down. I've been a customer for years and have always been extremely satisfied with everything, but the last few times I've dined there it's been disappointing. The staffing has changed and as a result so has the service. I hope this will improve.

Listen Woodmont is just not the same!No Crab Cake Entree! No Chicken Finger Entree! And I'm so so sad to say this last one but no more Brownie Sundae. This pandemic hit us where it hurts, the food lol.I took my husband for his birthday and this was his and my mother in law first time. The Spinach Dip is okay, not like I remembered it being. My husband said the chilled jumbo shrimp was okay as well.We all did enjoy our entrees which were the Salmon, Rotisserie Chicken and the BBQ Ribs.My husband killed those RIBS, he said they were hella good and the chicken had a nice sweet apricot glaze. Overall Woodmont Grill is not the hot spot it use to be but it was enjoyable for what we went for.

This WAS a favorite place of mine and my families for many
This WAS a favorite place of mine and my families for many years until today. The service was so bad I was reduced to tears over French fries, how trivial. This place now lacks genuine feeling and empathy. The service is a fake boogie type feel, with a robotic politeness. I would never ever go here again except, the au jus sandwich Is delicious, if I can stomach the fake pleasantness. The management is not what I remember as warm friendly, upscale, and a welcoming feel. It is a very anal retentive Coporate impersonal vibe, and for this service, overpriced. NO, they do not take discover. NO, you can not order off the full menu for take out, not even French fries. NO, if you are vegan or health conscious, or diet restrictions, you can not take off the main protein and order just the vegetables as an appetizer or a side, UNLESS you want to pay full price for the meal. So, $24 dollars for kale, if I remember correctly, hold the chicken. NO you can not sit at the bar and order food, if they feel you will be taking left overs to go if it's from the main menu, and not the limited to go menu. I did end up getting French fries on the house, but the feeling I left with was so unpleasant, it is no longer the place I held in such high esteem. It didn't matter to me on the house or over priced fries under the circumstances. The manager acted like she was doing something great with some free fries paired with a scolding. My son was recovering from being ill. He was very underweight from days of not eating. It was a rough day of doctors visits and this was his reward for being brave, so I thought. I just needed him to eat. I was literally refused French fries at the bar by the manager because she knew I had intent to take some to my sick child waiting for me in the car. While the bartender was going to serve me, the manager actually intervened and stopped her from selling me French fries. Who does that? She explained she was worried about the integrity of the French fries and corporate standards despite I explained to her the situation that I was eating at the bar and taking some to my son who was right outside, which is really none of her business. What's the difference between the patio and the car 10 feet away? Just wow?! She would do better working at the IRS than customer service and the restaurant/service industry. My child had doctors appt all day and had blood drawn that required fasting and it was 3:00pm. For being brave his Reward was fries and a burger, from here. Because fries is not on the to go menus, I was not allowed to order it. I went to sit at at bar to order them for myself to eat with the intentions of ordering 2 servings, one for me and one for my son. I was refused service of fries because I had intent to share them with my child waiting for me in the car. He just didn't want to be in the restaurant after a rough day and wasn't feeling well. At this point I am in tears pleading for French fries because I promised. What parent doesn't deliver on a promise after things like tooth extractions, blood draws, injections, difficult procedures, etc. For all she knew he could have had chemo and was in the car waiting for food. The lack of empathy and compassion blew my mind. This manger went thru the lengths to tell the bar tender NOT to give it to me? Who does that?! She eventually gave me the fries on the house after I was in tears of frustration as tho that made up for the wasted time, feeling further helplessness as a parent when your child is sick, and humiliated feeling that I couldn't even get him something so small as French fries without a ton stress. I've scrolled the reviews and there are several other one star reviews based on poor service recently. What a shame. I have been going here and to Houston's when it once was for decades. I hope corporate reads this and hope changes are made. They have the wrong people working here. She offered to give me corporates name and number, like I need an extra task to do which would serve me nothing but further waste my time. This is for you the reader to not feel crazy if you have a similar feeling because it was not always this way. I wasn't even going to write anything until I saw, I am not the only one who had poor service on here. Imagine those didn't take the time to write. The au jus sandwich was delicious but the whole meal just tasted badly after that experience. I need a new happy place to go to. I'm thinking Kusshi in Rockville or Sorrento'a in Bethesda. They both have owners on site and the service reflects that. The one star is for that au jus sandwich and the bar tender who seemed to have far more people skills than the manager I was serviced by. This is the type of place that will blame declining sales on the pandemic or food where service is hugely problematic.I hope they do better and prove this review wrong.
🤮
Would have given zero starts if possible.
I just went to the restaurant for dinner and the lady at the entrance was very rude. She did have an attitude when speaking with us and did roll her eyes. I would not recommend this place if the staff cannot be helpful amiable and cordial to customers. I am probably not planning any future dinner group with this restaurant
