Boia De
Food was good but not outstanding and I donโt think it deserves a Michelin star. It was expensive and the wine list is different but the mark ups are extraordinary-we paid $200 for two bottles of Spanish wine that retails for $30 a bottle. I realize today itโs tough to be in the restaurant business & make money. I would go back but I wish they had reasonably priced wines as options. The $200 we spent in wine was half the bill. Itโs tough going to good restaurants these days bc of the expense-but this is a town where everyone eats out soโฆ

Fabulous, unexpected food, and excellent service. Tastes were unique and foods were fresh and beautifully prepared. Would go back in a heartbeat.
Be the first to ReplyCasual spot with good food
First the good news: the food is great, the service very friendly and attentive. They make you feel at home. But don't order the Chicken Liver and Duck Foie Gras pate. It's delicious, but you get maybe a spoon full. Also, do not order any bottle of red wine. It comes chilled, colder than the water they give you.
Be the first to ReplyIs not Michelin star place. (And Iโm talking about the food)
Expensive and Nothing special!!!! I donโt know why someone gave to this restaurant a Michelin star. you can try once but itโs not worth going back again. Service was friendly. I reserved a table for two and they gave us a seat at the bar... I kindly asked if it was possible to give us the table that I had booked and they told me they had another reservation of 4 people so they gave them the table. Later, after 20 min we switch the tableโฆfinally. They were very nice. The food was okay but nothing amazingโฆand 1 Michelin star for something in the average itโs not worth it. I tried better restaurant

My kids are going to kill me, but Iโm going to say it; the food here is fire! This restaurant is so hot that the only reservation we could get was a Monday at 9:30 (itโs ok, I took a nap). Over my objection, we started with Luciโs Chopped Salad. Iโm glad I was overruled. This was one of the best salads Iโve ever eaten. It had artichokes and peppers and cheese and about 50 other things. This was followed by the Crispy Polenta. While well made, this was relatively boring and not worth mentioning again. Then we had the white truffle tagliatelle. It was creamy and delicious. As my wife said, this was as good as any pasta we ever had in Italy. Next up was the Bufala Ricotta Gnochi ala Norcina. This has black truffle and was fantastic. We finishef with the Cannellinni Beans with baby clams. A perfect ending to the meal. Each dish was better than the last. The service was also great. Shout out to Meg, our server, who was friendly and very attentive. If we could get another reservation, we would go back tonight.
Be the first to ReplyWas surprised by their creativity and amazing flavor combinations
This place makes combinations you thought would not work to create something amazing from them. The location is small and not super comfortable but the food makes up for it. As Michelin system says worth the drive to an area of town that is off the beaten path. Portions are small so order a few things if sharing.
Be the first to ReplyNo Soup for You!
Even though the restaurant is in a scary part of town, the food is good and innovative. The one star is mainly for the service. They have this strange policy where you have to order everything you want at once. We were a group of four celebrating a birthday on a Sunday afternoon; the restaurant was semi full inside and completely empty outside. We order our food all at once (as per policy). The plates are very small by the way. When we finished, we ask our waiter if we could order additional plates since the portions were smaller than anticipated. We received a rude "NO, YOU CAN ONLY ORDER ONCE." Needless to say, we were in shock! From that point on the entire experience was ruined. We have never been treated so abrasive and dismissive for wanting to order more food in a restaurant. The whole experience brought to mind the famous Seinfeld episode of "No Soup for You! If you like to be treated in a restaurant as if they are doing you a favor to serve you, this is the place for you. If not, avoid; there are plenty of nice restaurants in the 305.
Be the first to ReplyHow is it possible that this place is mentioned as a Michelin star? .
This is not a Michelin star It is a shame that Miami mentions this place as quality, the food was poorly prepared, without flavor, without salt at all, the lamb was poor quality and very spicy, the waiter forgot to put the correct order and the last dish arrived 30 minutes later, the dessert was very old processed from days, the tables too close together, a customer coughed next to me and I wet myself every time he did, the dishes were damaged, see the photos below
Be the first to ReplyWe reached Nirvana.
We reached Nirvana during this meal. Our advice: Order everything on the menu. This place is unbelievably good- best food we've ever had including international dining and it is super affordable for fine dining. We ate 6 courses in 45 mins it was so good. They do have you put in your whole order at once so beware! Will be dreaming of Boia De for awhile. Waitress was great, too.
Be the first to ReplyNearly perfect
Wonderful meal last night in this cozy spot just north of the design district. Our server was also a bartender who was extremely knowledgeable about the menu as well as eager to make sure we left happy and satisfied. The winners of the night were the beef tartar, the sweet corn agnolotti, and the carrott cake with mascarpone cream. The reason we say "nearly" perfect is that the rabbit ragout and vongole pasta dish both did not have al dente pasta. While the pasta was indeed homemade it was cooked too long and did not have an al dente bite. Also, the ginger ice cream with the carrott cake was off putting, a nice vanilla ice cream would have been better. With all that said, we can't wait to return and see what changes the menu brings this fall!

Very pleasant experience. From service through to the meal, everything was perfect. The setting is quaint and down to earth with a friendly staff that was very welcoming. Overall, we got lucky, not having reserved we were greeted and frankly seated at the bar within 10 minutes. We ordered the shrimp started, a wonderful tossed salad and each of us took a pasta. My papardelle rabbit was, and I have almost no hesitancy saying this, the best pasta dish I have had in the last 10 years. We finished with the tiramisu, an incredible conclusion to a wonderful meal. So happy we went, I hope this place never changes.

An understated restaurant where food speaks for itself. All dishes are creative and simply delicious. All the pastas are so good it is hard to choose one. Super nice staff and price is hard to beat. If you are a foodie and want to avoid the cliche Miami scene, than this your spot. Bravo!!!

All dishes were above average, and some, like the cold Tagliolini Nero (with king crab, truffle, herbs, and vin jaune), were outstanding and unforgettable. Expect very high quality, fresh, creative dishes not too far out on the creativity but far enough to make them special & memorable. Expect also amazing service. One of my favorite restaurants in Miami.
Be the first to ReplyFlavor and fun in a tiny package
This tiny restaurant is such a hidden gem you can barely find it even when youโre in the parking lot of the strip shopping center in Little Haiti that hosts it. (Look for the few outdoor tables.) But thereโs nothing hidden about the flavors here.
The talents of the chefs have made this one of the toughest tables to reserve in Miami. We had to resort to putting our name on the online โwaiting listโ and lo and behold, one afternoon an offer popped up for a table at 5:45. That day. We grabbed it.
Besides the few outdoor tables, there are maybe 8 tables inside and 10 seats at the bar. We were a little Covid leery about being seated at the bar, so we were glad to see they purposely kept an empty bar stool between parties.
Our lovely server explained all the dishes, designed to be shared, and suggested we order 4 to 6. We found 4 to be plenty. Many have an Italian base. But amid so much creativity, it was hard to decide. The rabbit pappardelle (a generous amount of rabbit) from the several pastas, all homemade. The steak tartare was so flavorful, accompanied by a surprise: beef tendon puffs like fried chicharrones to spread the tartare on.
Our third dish was octopus confit, a marinated tentacle, fried and served on tiny Sardinian pasta called fregola, with roasted peppers and salsa verde. It was exquisite.
Sitting at the bar, you watch the staff assemble the dishes. My husband loves carrot cake, and once he watched the mascarpone frosting being artfully applied to the cake pieces, he had to have it as our fourth dish. So moist and delicious. So worth it.
We had 3 glasses of wine between us, and a cappuccino. All in all, a fun and flavorful night. We need to snag another reservation, to try everything else on the menu!
A Hidden Gem Near the Design District
A couple of very good dishes including the cold black pasta with crab and the polenta. The gnocchi was good, thought without potato. The mushroom sauce was a bit watery, but the mushrooms were varied and generous. A nice selection of different mushrooms. The clams were too small and oily. The budino was good was tasty with candied hazel nuts and caramel on the top. The chocolate budding was rich and thick.

Phenomenal. Exceptional food, unbeatable recipes and overall great service. Expensive but reasonable given quality of food

What a disappointment! So many good reviews so hard to get a table. Once there the first statement: plates are tapas side to share better
To order several. At the prices they have it is hard to do it.r We ordered three. First pasta with real crab with Mayo $26. No enough even for one. the pasta. A plate of slimy sticky pasta not enough for even a child. Desert mediocre flavor full price. Location less than average. Service tje same. You can fool people part of the time but not all of the time. Soon to close business
Exquisite menu
This place has amazing food with great flavors ,the steak tartare is out off this world it is a small place with a great atmosphere , friendly staff and food was runned by the chef, It was the best dinner I had in miami .I highly recommend this place .

Be the first to ReplyMy New Best Restaurant in Miami
Apparently , I am the first to review this restaurant for Trip Advisor!!!! I couldn't be happier. The restaurant is about 8 months old and the chef comes from the famous 11 Madison in New York City. Firstly, his is a very tough reservation to get! A sophisticated web based reservation system requires a credit card to secure the reservation with penalty for canceling within a time limit. This, deservedly, is necessary because of the amazing food and the very limited table space (5 tables), with bar/counter service. We succeeded in scoring a 5:30 PM Saturday night table and enjoyed one of our best meals in a very long time.
courses are meant to be shared, and come out of the kitchen as individually prepared. My wife and I shared the following; (1) crispy polenta (2) beef Tartare (3) ricotta gnocchi (4) pappardelle Alla lepre, and an amazing desert, chocolate Budino.(a chocolate pudding with toasted hazelnuts and rich chocolate sauce). My favorite, (hard to decide) was the gnocchi! Light and fluffy and full of flavor. All of the dishes were flavorful. Together with two glasses of wine, our bill before tax and tip was $102.00. The service could not have been better. Rapidly clearing of used dishes, very nice wait staff, (Kortney H.), and the manger camerawomen around twice to check on us. Noice level a bit over my tolerance for a small place, and the temperature a tad cool. The parking was free in a shopping center. Location was in the Little Haiti section of the city with an armed guard in the parking lot. Wed cannot wait to go back there. Five stars.
