Racist Make a black person with a dog sit outside in 90 degree head while a Asian woman was allowed inside with her dog
RACIAL BIASES Asian customers treated better than black customers . This is me being honest . I am not playing the victim and people witnessed it also and complain to the manager on my behalf Unfair treatment with black customers and Asian Customers. I walked in with my small 4 pound dog and and so did an Asian woman walk in with her small dog . It was 90 degrees outside . SHE ans I was standing next to each other in line and we were engaging in conversation about our dogs while we wait in line. I was told that I could not come inside with my dog cut the Asian woman was ok'd . She was able to bring her dog in and her dog was also also to sit on a chair while at the table . They catered to her dog liken the dog was a human while had me sitting outside in the blistering heat and my dog had to lie on the hot ground . Customers starting noticing that and even made complaints and one of the owners became rude and defensive about it . They offered to give me an umbrella but that was it while the Asian woman was able to bring her dog into the restaurant and the catered to her dog while handling food that people were eating . They called and offered an apology but that was it . And I never asked about free food and the manager words were "and we are not giving you any free food " I reached out to the several times ans never heard anything after that . This is a 100 fact . This is the honest truth and I am not making an of this up . I will be happy to validate this to any who wants to ask me this . This was flat out racial bias . Customers even complained to managers on my behalf .

My wife and I made a reservation for indoor seating and on arrival we were lucky to find seats at the bar, our favorite option. Part of the bonus was the fabulous bar keep Eric. My wife likes Oaky Chardonnay and that was unavailable, but he put her on a French Wine that was comparable and that was a good start. We were very much looking forward to the fried chicken, but he turned us on to an off menu special New York Strip with a chimichurri like sauce sitting atop chard and Sunchoke with peppers that was killer. The chicken and waffles with slaw was amazing as well and made for a great breakfast as well! Topped off the meal with a pecan pie reduction with ice cream. Hell yeah! Eric was kind enough to treat me to a bourbon from a local distiller that completed the package. We will be back here for sure.

Great meal, each of the four dishes that our party ordered. Wait time was reasonable for a Sunday, outdoor table a plus. We’d go again but we live in Florida!

Chef and I stopped by after errands with no reservations. They were able to accommodate us. So happy with our choice. Our Waitress was delightful, taking the time to converse with us. The observed COVID-19 dining protocols. The Chicken Liver mousse was so delicious with the black cherries. Will definitely bookmark fir another visit
Be the first to ReplyWow this is soooo Good Stopped
Wow this is soooo Good Stopped through for take out to try the buttermilk fried chicken with waffles. All I can say is that this is the best fried chicken that I have ever had! The waffles are actually cheese waffles which sounds bad but is awesome. When you add in the syrup which has a unique taste you will love. Overall this is a must stop and try. Worth the cost and wait.
Be the first to ReplyGreat staff, Excellent Options, GOOD EATS
I met two friends for a small quick brunch. On arrival the host was super kind. Our reservation was mixed up, but they were able to accommodate us. We sat outside and had a really good waiter who gave us meal options. He took his time and it paid off. I ended up getting the Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sandwich...YUUUUUUMY! This was a great option in a less busy more quiet part of Brooklyn. It is definitely a highly recommended spot for an outing with friends and family.

Buttermilk Channel's food and service were out of this world amazing. We walked by here on a whim on Saturday night and saw the large crowd forming outside. We checked online and saw that there was actually a reservation available 15 minutes later, at 8:45PM. Score! We came back after having a drink nearby & were welcomed by the hostess. She told us that our table was eating dessert and would be done shortly. (Meanwhile walk-ins were being quoted over a 45 minute wait......check online vs walking in people!) We were escorted to the bar to await our table and ordered a couple of cocktails-The Honey Suckle Rose (gin, sparkling rosé, lemon & honey) was smooth but also kicking my butt. This drink packed a punch. My husband loved the Fox 8 (Gin, Dolin Blanc Vermouth & Sales Aperitif). Though we ended up being seated past our reservation time, the hostess was above and beyond at informing us what our estimated seating time would be. Once seated, service continued to be very efficient and detailed. I asked about gluten free menu options and was told in detail what there was. We ordered an appetizer and our entrees, and shortly after we received a bite of house made pickles as an apology for our extra wait time. Since I had told the waitress I was gluten free, they brought these especially. This attention to detail was much appreciated. These were fantastic. Our next course, the beer-steamed mussels (cherry peppers, celery leaves, green olives, & grilled country bread) was spectacular. This soupy goodness contained endless flavors after every bite. These were some of the most succulent, juicy mussels I have ever eaten. My entree, the Pan-roasted arctic char, with crispy polenta cake, concord grapes & jalepeno brown butter was at the level of delicious where you want to just drink it out of a straw. This was many levels of perfection, from the perfectly done fish to the amazing textures and flavors in the polenta. I'm normally a super slow eater but devoured this baby quickly. My husband had the duck meatloaf which was also friking ridiculously delicious. The entire dining experience was just so amazing here. I really felt as though the staff cared about us during our visit & it was amazing. I can't wait to come back to Buttermilk Channel for brunch or other occasions. This place completely rocked!
Be the first to ReplyMonday Night Dinner
For our last night in the NYC/Brooklyn area, we stopped in for a relaxing and deliious meal. It was a Monday evening and so we did not make a reservation but were seated promptly upon arrival. The service was excellent as was the food. The fried chicken and waffles was delicious, especially when topped with their maple syrup/balsamic vinegar dressing; the mushroom bean burger was tasty; and the burger with cheddar chesse and grilled onions hit the spot. We left room for their individual pecan pie sundae - very good decision. This is a delightful restuarant and well worth your time. We'll be back when we're back in the area..

We stopped for lunch at this great restaurant in Carroll Gardens Brooklyn. The food was outstanding. I had the grilled cheese with bacon (maybe the best bacon I have ever tasted). We shared the mussels (spicy and delicious). A must visit if your are in the neighborhood.

I loved the maple bacon toasted almonds! The ice cream was also excellent! Nice to see a restaurant serve country style collard greens and grits in Brooklyn! Good friendly service!
