The walnut sticky bun was great, exactly what one would expect. The short rib hash had some interesting middle eastern spices, which gave it a unique flavor. The fried chicken sandwich is enormous, the chicken is so juicy and the coleslaw and pickles are nice to cut through the fattiness. The French toast was my favorite. It's very thick but soaked all the way through, the sauce is amazing, and the whipped cream is very good and just the right density/heaviness.

We got seated 20 minutes before our reservations and they were not ready for us but they didn't act mean about it at all. They were very kind! As soon as we were seated the owner or manager came over and had a full conversation asking about how we were and asking about our plans, it was very nice and felt like he knew us. We got the burger and the Pecan Pie French Toast and they were absolutely incredible! The french fries came with a garlic aioli sauce that was the best aioli I've ever had. The pickles tasted like they were made in house and were so good! The feel of the place was very homey and it was clean!

First we tried the popovers. They were delicious with a light hint of salt and honey on the top. Next we tried all three oysters that they had. The barbecued oyster is a good option for someone who wants to be included but doesn't love seafood. I could really only taste BBQ sauce so I wouldn't order this again if the point is to taste oysters. The roasted oyster was my least favorite. It mostly tasted like green chili peppers. The iced oyster was the best oyster I've eaten (which is admittedly not many) it was simple yet delicious, and showcased the oyster itself instead of a sauce. For my meal I got chicken and waffles. I'll admit that I was slightly let down when I first tried the dish because it was cooked well but wasn't overly flavorful. Then I added the hot sauce and syrup that was included on the side. The dish with both sauces included was delicious! The sweet and spicy balance out perfectly. I see the benefit of serving this with sauces on the side incase a customer doesn't like spicy food but the sauces made the dish for me. Finally I got the banana bread pudding for dessert. This was huge! This was easily shared between 4 people. It was simple, tasty and a great way to finish a lovely meal.Service: The service here was phenomenal! My party included a 2 year old. Every staff member that interacted with our party was so friendly and accommodating. This is the best service I've received in the past decade.Ambiance: The restaurant is small but uses it space well. The tables are spaced apart enough were it is not too loud and easy to make conversation. The decor is simple and tasteful.I would 100% recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to have a nice night out in the area. The combination of a comfortable atmosphere, amazing service, and good food left our entire party glowing by the end of the night!

There was a bit of a wait. Cute cozy neighborhood restaurant. Staff very friendly and attentive.I had the fried pork chop and Cheddar waffles. Aammmazing. 4/10 - I live in the area and heard all of the hype, but I was surprised it did not live up to it. I love pickles but this brine is too far sweet and salty. Popovers were bland. Entrees we're not impressive and generally lacking in flavor. Also didn't appreciate the waitress's general disdain for interacting with us. There are so many better places in the neighborhood. This restaurant is not a part of it.

On Sunday, some friends and I came about this restaurant after doing a photoshoot that required quite a bit of walking around in humid weather, myself in particular because I was the one conducting the photoshoot. We saw tables off to the side that were empty with no one around. The entire restaurant was relatively empty. We take a seat. After less than 5 minutes, a very angry and scary male employee comes outside and instead of greeting us like human beings, immediately berates and insults us, saying we are "taking up space for actual paying customers." Just the worst attitude and nastiness when it absolutely wasn't necessary and if he wanted us to leave or order something, there are many MATURE and ADULT ways he could have gone about that. He insulted me, insinuating I'd never been to a restaurant before. I believe his knee-jerk, overblown reaction was 100% racially motivated as we are all Black women. You don't have to speak to people like they are smaller than you. You don't have to make assumptions. You don't need to become immediately angry upon seeing us sit outside your empty restaurant. Many restaurants do self-seating. Bring a menu, say the tables are for customers only, and keep it moving. We would have left. It's not difficult to be decent to one another, but this angry, nasty man seemed completely unfamiliar with that concept.

I finally ventured to Carroll Gardens to try Buttermilk Channel- I mean hey if Beyoncé tried it, I must! My friend and I order the classic chicken and waffles. First and foremost, the portions were huge and more than adequate. As for the actual chicken, it was well seasoned but a little on the dryer and so definitely use the maple syrup that they give you. The waffles, however, were easily some of the best waffles that I've ever had. If I could purchase a to-go packet of them, I would in a heartbeat.

Got chicken and waffles and the chicken was burned and not tasty because of the over frying or frying in a used oil. Everything else was ok. The chicken sandwich was yummy. The popovers didn't have much of a flavor themselves. The honey was definitely needed.

One of my favorite dining experiences I've had in some time! Our service here was excellent! Every dish we had was incredible. Green Goddess Salad was so refreshing and I loved the bacon and blue cheese crumble. The best Fried Chicken and Cornbread I've had since I moved to Brooklyn, period. Their ice cream is homemade and the chocolate chip mint was suggested to us, so glad it was because it's delicious! Looking forward to dining here again!

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

Best Answer It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

Best Answer Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

Best Answer Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Best Answer Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

What happens if my bid expires unanswered?

Best Answer Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
