Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!

I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.

I got scammed by appointment traitor. I purchased four reservations, none that actually worked. They claimed the restaurant canceled the reservation. When I called the restaurant, they said they do not allow the resell of their reservations. All the reservations that were sold to me was flagged as suspicious by the restaurant and canceled.
The big scam with appointment traitor is they didn’t even refund all of the money only a couple of them. Appointment traders, customer support is awful. They don’t respond to emails and still they have not responded to the request for a refund.
Be super careful about appointment Trader because your reservation is not guaranteed and sometimes they won’t refund all your money. I paid for a reservation but didn’t even get to go eat at the restaurant. It’s better to make reservations with the restaurant.

I posted a bid for A restaurant early in the morning. If the afternoon I got an alert that someone was working on it.
It was a 7:15 reservation, I was sitting with my husband at 7:45 EST got an alert that they were to get my 7:15 dinner reservation. The issue is the company is in PST. I have tried since sat to get in touch with customer service. I sent emails and texts messages with zero reply. I am due a credit and no one will return any of my reaching out. Stay away!

The platform definitely accommodates a market that has a demand. However, AT still has many areas for improvement.
1. filter function should be able to sort by date + time
2. bidding should have a double verification factor.
3. refunds should not be credited to your AT account balance.
4. UX and UI can be refined to be more intuitive.
All in all, AT works well. I haven't had an experience where it has not worked.

I bought my reservation for Casa Cruz a week ahead of time and when I arrived and gave the name on the reservation they said that it had been cancelled. They showed me the cancelation in the system and said that it had been cancelled through the clients Resy app and there was nothing they could do for me. Not sure if the client just hadn’t bothered to confirm the reservetaiona day ahead or not. The host went to see if they could find us a table anyway but didn’t have anything so we were left high and dry at 7:30 on a Saturday night. This was extremely disappointing! Not sure I’m going to use appointment trader again.

I feel absolutely tricked that not only did I just pay for a reservation that someone could have 'canceled' so there would be an opening at the restaurant, but then, without notice, I am given a reservation in someone else's name and then have to pay to put it in my name?
Furious this was not shared prior to purchasing, and total scam.
