Went here for Mother's Day & were required to order off the prix fix menu. At first it seemed worth it since it includes a belly dancing show...but alas, the food was basic. Certainly not worth the price. Better middle eastern food elsewhere. I'm still insulted by my salmon dish that resembled a hotdog. It's the smallest piece of salmon I've ever received. My sister & I truly couldn't believe it. Belly dancer was 30+ mins late. We waited an extra 20 mins after our meal for it to begin. Service was good overall. Staff was kind & accommodating. Decor was nice as well.

The staff was great, the location is chill, the decor is beautiful, and the food is really good. I had Koshary & it was great!

I just came home from this restaurant, we celebrated my sister in law's mother's birthday and had a reservation for party of 5... I am not much of a person to leave such bad reviews, but for the food and service, I really feel like we got scammed/rip off from this place. My sis-in-law Mother lived in the Middle East for quite some time, so we were excited to take her here to get a taste of "home" and the show with belly dancer seem fun. Now, we probably saw the belly dancer once for about 2 minutes, but it's not even as great as to other places I been. Anyhow, we told our server, Maria that it is our first time on this restaurants and we were excited about it, then, she gave us a choice to either do pre-fixe menu or order a-la-carte, we picked the pre-fixe for $59, cause it sounded more sensible. Though we all ordered mix grill and lamb chops, those meals are extra $10 each on top of $59, which made our pre-fix $69 per person. And then, our waiter started "suggesting" or more on convincing us about other add-on, such as octopus, falafel platter, and French fries. It was very mapped out on how she introduced these "add-on", like those vendors in the middle of the mall that convince you to buy their product. Kudos to her sales talk, she scammed us! Let's talk about the food... I loved loved loved Mediterranean food. I've had so many different ones from different states, different cities, and even different countries. This place, definitely TOO OVERRATED, TOO OVER-PRICED, and TOO MEDIOCRE. We ordered 4 mix-grill and 1 lamb chops. It was okay, the mix grill was very small in portions for $49 entree, the chicken was dry and bland, the beef was okay, and the lamb chops were super overcooked. The food also came out cold and seems like it has been sitting in the kitchen for quite some time. We also ordered 1 each cocktails that range from $19-$21. The drinks were regular, and were served in a smaller glass than expected. Though, we really did liked the appetizers that came with the pre-fixe menu, I was disappointed that we have to pay extra for pita bread, for the price that was charged, it should have been free. The place is nice, there were decorative flowers everywhere, it's like a garden theme except the flowers were fake. The decor was very well thought out, but the seating is a bit crowded and everyone pretty much on top of each other. Our server, Maria. She was pleasant, however, I really feel like she hustled us, I felt taken advantage and scammed by her. We agreed to all the add on that she suggested because it felt like if we said no, she'll spit on our food. Plus she presented everything so special, like how the octopus is really good, the falafel is the best thing ever, and the French fries is from farm to table French fries. What's crazy is when all of these "add on's" came to our table, they all tasted regular, even somewhat bland, and nothing really special at all. What really disappoint me the most is that she "full disclosure" demand us to tip between 20% to 30% on our $550+ bill. For 5 people we paid $660+ for food that's truly just ordinary. I've had so much better food elsewhere, don't get me wrong, I wouldn't mind paying $150+ for food that is high quality, delicious, juicy, and worth the money, but this one, oh my, I'm very very very disappointed and never ever coming back again. Great job on the marketing and advertising team, but honestly I would not even recommend this restaurant to family, friends, or even strangers.

Casa La Femme offers a taste of Egypt with its richly decorated setting. The ambiance is undeniably the highlight, perfect for a serene dining experience. The menu features traditional Egyptian dishes; the mezze platter and falafel were commendable starters, vibrant with authentic flavors. However, the main course did not fully meet expectations and lacked the robust zest typical of Egyptian fare. The pricing is on the higher side, which might be justified by the ambiance but less so by the culinary experience. For those seeking atmosphere over epicurean excellence, it remains a solid choice. Good service.

Somebody hacked CLF's Facebook page, changed the name to "Alert System," and is sending out threatening direct messages. (Indeed Suspicious that DMs involve a tiny competing Moroccan restaurant with belly dancers.) BTW, went to CLF with my partner years ago, and we had a nice time.
Be the first to ReplyExtremely small portions- overpriced- mediocre food.
Save your money & Go elsewhere!! Trust me...
Be the first to ReplyFood was flavorful.
Had the pre fix lunch that came with a nicely seasoned chicken breast. The belly dancing shows definitely split up the conversation multiple times. And we're always captivating. The dancer waltzed her way around the restaurant constantly keeping everyone engaged. Great joint
Be the first to ReplyThe cooking was REALLY not good.
The place is all ambiance, not good well-prepared food with flavor. Try some of the restaurants in Astoria for good Egyptian food in NYC.
Be the first to ReplyGirly restaurant to go with your girlfriends.
The drinks were too strong we were drink with only one. Food was okay, could be better. Ambiance is very chilling. I really loved the decoration that was the main reason me and my friend went. Also I like how the bring your the drinks with flowers and all that.. if you love to take photos this is the perfect place to go to..
Be the first to ReplyAwesome food Awesome dancers, incredible design.
Great service! Would definitely recommend and go there again! 5 ninjatō sword stars!
Be the first to ReplyNot the friendliest restaurant to go to.
.. the stars from this review solely goes to the salmon dish which really saved my experience from being a complete 1 star. I came for a friend's birthday and despite her having made a reservation for a relatively large crowd, we needed to wait for every single person on the reservation to arrive before being seated. Also good luck trying to find the host when you first walk in - I tried asking a few waiters and employees but they all told me they don't know (even when my friend asked to use the bathroom before being seated, they said they don't know if she can). Additionally, after we were seated, it took so long for anyone to come by with water, instructions on ordering, the actual ordering, the wait for food, and finally the check. I'd also recommend managing your expectation with the belly dance because the single dancer passes by once and very quickly - she was good, don't get me wrong, but don't expect a whole show. Also, at one point we needed to speak to the manager since our waiter didn't know the question to one of our questions, and the manager was very curt and snappish in his response. All in all, not the best experience, but if you do find yourself here, manage your expectations and order the salmon.
Be the first to ReplyThe food was good but the service wasnt so great.
We saw 2 mice running around in the rest and told the server several times. He just laughed at us and didn't really seem too fazed.
Be the first to ReplyWe spent New Year's Eve.
The food was delicious. Servers were very attentive. However, the DJ was to say the least, very inexperienced and not at his console at times. The music didn't have a flow to it. It sounded a mess. Also, I believe, the speakers were not set up properly. Many times during the event, we heard disturbing noises.
Be the first to ReplyCasa La Femme is one of those restaurants you cannot walk
Casa La Femme is one of those restaurants you cannot walk by and not glance at. The ambiance is charming and mesmerizing in an extravagant, yet cozy and romantic manner. The restaurant is massive and can easily accommodate large parties in the fun tents to intimate dates at the front tables. One thing I really liked is that the layout allows couples seated towards the front of the restaurant to sit next to each other, rather than across from each other as is perhaps usual in restaurants. This restaurant readily lends itself to celebrating special occasions and taking lots of pictures given such a beautiful atmosphere! My friend and I shared several mezzes (babaganoush, humus, foul, harrisa, and spicy feta) with pita, chicken kebabs, beef kofta, and basbousa ice cream sandwiches. All of the mezzes were delectable with the harrisa and babaganoush being the standouts for me. The harrisa is also not too spicy; and, none of the mezzes were drenched in too much olive oil, as sometimes happens. The pita is made to order, so it comes out fresh and soft, dusted with sesame seeds and a bit of za'atar. The chicken kebabs and beef kofta were tasty, rich and well-seasoned, but they were both a bit on the drier side and not the best kebabs I've ever had. The basbousa ice cream sandwiches were fantastic and balanced without being too sweet. In terms of drinks, the virgin mojito tasted like an elevated limeade, but the hibiscus tea did not have much flavor at all. We initially thought that the portions were on the smaller side, but we were very wrong to assume and left practically in a food coma. The dining experience at Casa La Femme is going to be super memorable for me given the service and the entertainment, however! The staff was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu, and they come out and sing you happy birthday here. We went during a bellydancing show, which was a lot of fun to see as part of the experience. The bellydancer was very interactive and even danced with some patrons, creating an overall very fun atmosphere. For a place that exudes style and aesthetic the way Casa La Femme does, I expected underwhelming food. However, I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality and overall flavors. I would probably rate closer to a 4.5/5 rather than a pure 5 given some of the drawbacks of the food. But all together the dining experience was lovely and a great value, especially for a fun, celebratory occasion or an intimate, romantic date night.

Disappointed experience!! Went last Saturday expecting to have a great time, reservations was challenging to get. On entering there's no formal host stand just a kid & a girl roaming around with a tablet. They've use up every square inch of real estate with tables that makes it a challenge to move around. We got a table that was possibly in a walkway so my gf & I had to get up every time someone wanted to pass. Food was good but for a place that has such a nice decor the service was disappointing. Some random guy dressed in street clothes approached our table and identified himself as the server, had it not been for the tablet in his hands I wouldn't have reacted. He was also overwhelmed with the volume but not rude, food was ok took pictures to try to salvage the night. Saw a little of the belly dancing show because there was much room for her to move around. The one start I left is just for the decor, will never be back! This place is the definition of OVERRATED!!
Be the first to Replyambience was amazing .
the service was the worst service I have ever had. the Hospitality definitely didn't match how beautiful it is inside ! they make you feel very uncomfortable and not welcomed. they don't introduce themselves when they come to your table or go over the menu properly, theres a pre fixed menu for 60 but they charge an extra 10 for your meat very weird when the meal includes just a salad as a starter , white rice with whatever dish (meat) u choose and again add 10 for steak salmon or lamp chop chicken only 5 lol. didn't understand this at all and the lamb chops sucked we sent 4 out of 7 dishes back to the kitchen ! very over rated !!! worst restaurant I have ever been too
Be the first to ReplyI paid extra for a special seating.
It was not worth it. The food was not good at all and limited. The atmosphere was great but the belly dancers sucked and barely danced for 10 secs infront of our table and literally ran to the other room. It was awkward and not worth the money. I was excited to visit this place from seeing all the ads and hype on instagram but trust me, save your money and go somewhere else.

Pretty pricey for the portion . I went here for my friend's birthday. We were a little disappointed at the service because my friend got there before us and when she scanned the menu, it stated a three course meal for $45.99. When we arrived, she was excited to inform us of the special so when we pulled out our cell phone to scan the barcode it, in fact, showed up as a 3 course meal for $45.99. When we went to place our order with the waiter we were told that the special is only for Monday through Friday's and it doesn't take in effect within another week or two. My friend explained to the waiter that it didn't indicate that on the menu. We called for the manager and when he arrived he stated that what were seeing on our cell phone wasn't showing on the menu that showing up on his iPad. We showed him on our cell phones that when you scan of the menu it shows " 3 course meal, $45.99" The manager insisted that it was an error so we explained to him if it's an error on their part and their systems are updated, then it's only fair to honor the price that is being shown to the customers, especially when we are instructed to use our cell phone to scan the barcode for the menu. The manager was visibly upset and stated that well it's an error and it doesn't show up and we don't even have those stuff on the menu which wasn't true because we ordered exactly what was on the menu, but for full price,. Then the manger said " it's for advertisement purposes " so I said that makes sense, but that's also not indicated here that it's an advertisement but at that moment we were tired of going back-and-forth and we just wanted to order. The food wasn't bad at all. We ordered the mixed grilled over rice , chicken salad , an chicken kebab. The ambience was beautiful, gorgeous place . If you're looking for a place where really beautiful decor, and to take pictures, then this is a place for you will I personally return to eat ? No.

I went there with 3 other people for brunch today - we got there right at noon (whey they open) for our reservation. We were the only customers there the entire time - this is an important detail. Why? Because, despite being the ONLY patrons, the service was TERRIBLE. The music was loud and jarring (we eventually begged them to both change it and turn it down, which they did); we didn't get our food until 12:50 (!!) when we were getting ready to walk out; they didn't ask if we wanted coffee refills until we were done eating; the restaurant was drafty and cold; and a couple of the staff was more interested in looking at their phones (with the volume on!) than in checking on us. After all that, the food was nothing special either. No thank you, I won't be back.

This restaurant is on my bucket list of places to try and I am so happy that I was able to take my family. The ambiance service, and food was everything!

I do not recommend it, very expensive, the food is disgusting and super expensive, the waiters are very unpleasant and inattentive to pestering, I had a reservation, I had to wait and I was very poorly attended by the receptionist. It was my birthday and I had a horrible time. We left hungry because everything is Ugly the only good thing was the dancer, it's not worth going and even less paying so much for nothing. The only good thing is the decoration of the place and the dancer
Be the first to ReplyOverpriced, cheap decor, and a waitress that talks too much.
The food was subpar, portions were very small for the price you are paying, $50 for a mixed grill platter and you only get one kabob lmao. We also got a grilled shrimp platter and the shrimp was very cold. Appetizer was $30 dollars for 3 pitas and three little dips. We went there for my friend's birthday and they did not even bring out a dessert for us- they gave us a bs reason as to why they couldn't. The belly dancer was nice tho! Listen to the bad reviews and don't waste your money on this place!!!
Be the first to ReplyI enjoyed our girls dinner Celebration here.
The ambiance is great. So many places to take great pictures. I especially loved that As soon as you walked in it smelled like a flower garden. They even let us bring in our own cake. The service was very good here. Definitely coming back.
