Does not make the cut for me.
The good: nice wine list, nice space, neat, clean open kitchen, nice server. The poor: 1. MENU CONFUSION Website sample menus indicate available options of a tasting menu (costs 45 pounds) AND separate entree plates. However, on our Thursday visit, the only menu was tasting which we did not have the time for nor did we want that much food. The saving grace, when we explained to our nice server, was that they would let us pick and choose from the tasting menu and charge us accordingly. So that was a win.2. FOOD I chose 3 starter courses only and the amount of food was fine for what I wanted. The scallop dish was very nice, the other two not so much. The mushroom dish was an ugly unidentifiable lump of black that had been literally drowned in soy sauce. The only taste was soy sauce. VILE. My last starter was charred leek with a large amount of a slightly bitter peanut sauce and, like the mushroom dish, the sauce totally overpowered the delicate leek. Three of my dining partners ordered the lamb entree which was nicely presented. However, they weren't asked what temperature they would like but all 3 plates came with different degrees of doneness. No consistency. Finally, I would expect bread service here but none was to be found.

What an excellent restaurant, one of the best roast dinners I've ever eaten. Fantastic meat, perfectly seasoned and smoked. The pork and beef were excellent, but the goat was incredible. Great setting as well, can't wait to go back.

Well presented and delicious. My taco starter was some of the best tacos ever tried and my monkfish was tender and full of flavour with some seriously tasty cabbage on the side. The staff were friendly and new the menu and wine list inside out to really make it special. Make sure you check out the balcony grooms also. Stunning.

Seriously, fantastic. I got the pumpkin mole tacos and they are OMFG delicious. Two delicate corn tortillas are stuffed with a dollop of spiced, incredibly flavorful pumpkin mole and goat cheese. I got two orders I loved them so much. Even my carnivore husband praised them. Now that says something! I also got the coal-roasted cauliflower and it was very good though not as mind-blowing as the tacos. The miso bagna cauda (made vegan without the usual anchovies) was delicate but also gave the hefty cauliflower a lovely lemony flavour. My husband thought the ox cheek was incredible and got the Peckham Fatboy as a side. Cons: The prices are pretty steep for some the portions; I mean £14 for the ox cheek with no sides included? That's just stingy. Also the waiters have tunnel vision: setting up a nearby table or bustling around ignorant of customers like us needing extra water or ordering another plate. I notice this all over London and as a native New Yorker it's SO FRUSTRATING bc I don't understand how NY servers can multitask but London servers seem incapable of doing so. Finally, it's quite loud in the restaurant and smells heavily of food so you'll walk out reeking.
