We visited for brunch on a Monday in March. We had prebooked weeks ago and prepaid. I wasn’t sure about the prepayment of £20 each initially but it was nice on the day when our bill was covered.

The restaurant is on the 40th floor. Without a reservation you will not get in. The lift up was speedy and the views were amazing. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Our table was great and there was plenty of room.

There were plenty of staff and an open kitchen. There was a great atmosphere. The breakfast/ brunch menu is extensive. We had an English breakfast and a lemon meringue waffle. We also had tea, fruit juice and water. My poached eggs were perfect!

The food, the ambiance, the staff and the views were all amazing.

We spent approx 1.5 hours here.

Very highly recommended. Well worth going out of your way for. Don’t be disappointed, book in advance.

Visiting again after finding this amazing place last year if you're in London hit this place for breakfast the perfect sky restaurant!
Our waitress was lovely and very attentive to our needs!

Visited for dinner. Second time here & sadly nowhere near as good as our first experience. Mainly due to terrible waitress, who got our drinks and part of our food order wrong. Wait for food was quite long but didn’t actually mind this due to the incredible view. We visited for my birthday & small cake was bought along with the bill - bit of an afterthought!!
The food was good & the view amazing but really let down by poor service and considering the service charge paid really should have been better. Wouldn’t return.

Wow. We had the most amazing breakfast. Staff were lovely. The areas were being cleaned when we arrived, it was nice to see it being cleaned.
We were sat by the window and it was blazing sunshine so we asked to move, no issues from the staff at all.
The food so DELIGHTFUL.
Iced coffee and a hot chocolate were so good.
Highly recommend and will return.

It was a great experience. When booking, all my questions was answered quickly via email. It was a birthday dinner for my boyfriend, so I asked if there was any way we could get a window seat and we did. I am not sure if this was on purpose or not, bu regardless great!
The food is amazing. Lobster mac and cheese is incredible! Lobster mini roll is amazing! Cod and potatoes was cooked so nicely. Waffles was crispy

Food was at best average, deffinately not worth the money. Staff were unfriendly and almost made you feel they were doing you a favour by being there. When we refused the service charge the manager (assumed he was as he was dressed differently to the waiting staff) snatched the bill away, removed the charge and wouldn't speak again. Top tip, go to the Darwin Brasserie, food good, staff friendly

I was told the lift was an experience, and it was! A high speed lift to the 39th floor! The restaurant is on about the 41st floor, but we was guided throughout by helpful staff.

We was lucky enough (by chance) to have a window seat, and the view was incredible.

The food (we went for the marquee Duck and Waffle), cocktails and overall experience was very good! Would highly recommend.

We feel the view really adds a lot, and not sure the centre tables get the full experience.

Wow! We visited on our anniversary (a surprise for me). Spectacular views, but the food was just as good. Not cheap, but exceptional quality.

The crab and avocado benedict dish I had was delicious. Oh, and the hash browns! Wow. My partner said it was the best brunch she’d ever had and, believe me, we’ve eaten a fair few over the years!

Then a lovely anniversary plate with a message and two delicious little chocolate treats at the end - what a wonderful surprise.

I had looked forward to dining here but I must admit that I was dissappointed. It started with a practical matter. The elevator didn’t go all the way up. It took us a while to find out how to get to the restaurant. Not good. The service was slow. My wife enjoyed her meal (duck and waffle). I ordred the fish. It was dry and uninteresting. The service continued to be slow so we left without dessert. We had to walk down the stairs to catch the lift. It was not the experience I had been looking forward to.

Not for those with vertigo! A high speed glass lift whisks you up to the 39th floor and you climb stairs to the 40th where the action is. Very popular at lunchtime. We had to wait around for a table and couldn't getany of the staff to get us an aperitif ..but eventually we were given a table by one of the floor to ceiling windows with a fantastic view of the City of London and beyond as far as Blackheath. The three of us shared à whole chicken which was tasty with potatoes and sauce and side dishes of scallops and lentils. Desserts included à nice lemon meringue Waffle and orange pudding. A glass of white wine was £11.
Service was à bit slow but waiters were friendly.

Sad to say, it didn't have as much class as it used to have but we had a nice time, even though à deposit of £20 per person is requiredon booking!

My final meal on my UK vacation was at Duck & waffle for breakfast before we went to the airport. The space is absolutely gorgeous and we got a beautiful window side table so we could watch the sun come up over the skyline and it was breathtaking. The food was also delicious; I did the full English breakfast and really enjoyed it. Some thing about the eggs in the UK just hit different. There's so much better! The coffee was also very great and the perfect complement to the meal. The service was friendly and quick so we were able to get in and out in plenty of time so as not to feel stressed about getting to the airport. One of my favorite parts was taking the clear elevator all the way up to the top and it was so fun to watch the view as the city skyline spread out before you.

Things changed a bit with Covid at a lot of restaurants. A lot of places have upped their prices while decreasing their portion size but NOT Duck & Waffle. The only difference was they had a €20 min pp when you make your reservation that goes towards your bill. Totally understandable and reasonable. The quality was just as good as I remember from 3 years ago. And the view was stunning. This was Wifey's 1st time here and she was floored with the experience. We came during the week for sunrise and it was not overly packed. The wait staff was super attentive and friendly. Coffee was great, views were incredible but the real star was the duck and waffle. It tasted even better than it looked. Which is truly saying something since the presentation and plating was like a piece of art.If your ever in London DO NOT pay to go up the shard for the view. Instead go to Duck and Waffle where you will get a better view and a beyond incredible meal and dinning experience to go with it.Insiders Tip: Go during the week for sunrise. You will have way less people to deal with when trying to take in the view and take pictures.

My boyfriend and I visited D&W for our anniversary! The young man at the door helped us to have one of the best table in the restaurant and in fact the view was just speechless!!!!( I know it wasn’t easy and we are very grateful for that ).
Our waitress, Rodica, explained the menu so well and she was very attentive to everything! We also had a bottle of wine which was served from a sommelier who suggested the best wine to drink with our meal! What else to say? It was just the perfect night in a perfect restaurant! We will definitely come back soon!

I love D&W, we work locally and it’s a real treat to have such amazing views. Dropped in with my fiancé and had fries, pakota and bacon date and we absolutely STUNK of fat for the rest of the evening + journey home. We have had to have everything dry cleaned and wash before bed. Really surprising? Not had this even from a fish and chip shop?! I love this place and it’s so strange! I wear heavy perfume.

The views are amazing, the service was good. However, we sent back stodgy tasteless waffles as they were stone cold. They came back 5 minutes later about 2 degrees warmer, not even warm enough to melt the chocolate sauce. Like, how difficult is it to serve a warm waffle? The place is called duck and waffle, but they can't even get the waffles right - and it's expensive at £50 for a basic breakfast. Seriously, the management should kick the 'chefs' up the ar5e for this. This was our 2nd visit, and whilst the waffles were warmer last time, the food wasn't that good. So basically, we're not going back - at least not until there is a major improvement to the quality of the food. I had a waffle off a street vendor a few weeks before that was 100% hotter and tastier than this cack.

We came here for brunch and loved it. The welcome from the door staff on the ground floor was great as we're the waiting staff in the resteraunt. Being the highest resteraunt in London the views were great. The food was excellent and a nice treat was a individual birthday cake at the end of our meal. Highly recommend.

There were six of us celebrating our daughter’s birthday and we hadn’t eaten here before. The waiter kindly made suggestions about how many dishes he recommended and we ordered plates for the table and we all shared food. That seemed to work well. Very easy to accommodate a gluten free diet, waiting staff very happy to advise about dishes. Food was great, well presented and exquisite tastes.
Amazing views and a chance for photos from the bar area too after the meal.
I’d recommend it for a special occasion. We enjoyed it.

I was invited to a dinner for approximately 18 people in the establishments private dining room. The best thing about the place was our server Patricia who was polite, discreet, ever present and efficient without being effusive. The second best were the stunning views both going up in the elevator and from all areas of the restaurant. The worst was the first impression because the young guy behind the podium on the ground floor struggled with finding reservations, the spelling of names and lacked the finesse to deal with any challenges courteously. As for the food the olives with freshly baked Middle East style bread was a nice introduction to dinner, the bread was too salty for my palate but I can understand why it's prepared like that to bring out the flavors. Small jugs of olive oil would have been perfect on the side. The octopus starter was chewy and rubbery, it had been overcooked or under the heat lamps of the pass too long. The duck and waffle main course was good but again too salty. Finally the Torrejas dessert was sickly sweet and I managed about a fifth, the flavor of the cinnamon didn't come through at all. I would return especially with the stunning views but choose a different combination of dishes.

Best Answer It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
