🤢 2/5 - Overhyped, overpriced, disorganized service with a weird

Overhyped, overpriced, disorganized service with a weird vibe. This is one of those velvet roped restaurants in Miami trying to be hip, but it just kinda fails. Went on a Thursday. Was an hour and a half late for my reservation and they said "no problem" - which is weird since they were supposedly books solid. The place was only 70% full, which should have been a red flag. The bar area looks nice and is probably OK to hang out at but they stuck us at the sushi bar. From the beginning the service was just lacking. We got menus but the guy didnt come back for a long time, Then when we wanted to order sushi we had to flag someone at the sushi bar0 who wasn't Japanese - who looked confused. He took our order but it was awkward because it wasn't clear if he worked in the sushi bar or not. Apparently he did though. One order of sushi came but the other didn't and so, again, we waited. When we asked where it was, they said it was coming, but then you could tell they forgot. It finally came and the Salmon Truffle sushi was quite good ($27) the 6 piece chefs special was fresh and it was good but it was $54. Reallly, for 6 small piece? Dude, I lifted heavy at the gym today. That's not enough. We also order the steak fries (i needed some carbs) and they came with this really lame siracha sauce. i have had siracha, its ok, but it doesn't belong in fries. The kicker was that the whole time, random staff was reaching into our space grabbing things from where we were eating or jus generally being in the way. They snatched menu we kept so we could order more (guess we weren't going to order any more). We had to beg for soy sauce which they poured and then took away. They grabbed plates and other things as soon as we took the last bite; it was just generally intrusive and we couldn't relax. There was no vibe, no soft music, no ambiance and just intrusive, over eager wait staff. We grabbed the check and got out of there. Two sushis, one french fry order and a glass of wine was $160. Fuck that. It included a $22 tip for all of the wait staff which we could have done without. I rarely give two stars unless the experience is horrible. This experience wasn't horrible; this place just didn't have the vibes, ambiance, service or food to justify the price. It is a hard pass for me.
