My friend had wanted to try this Michelin star restaurant known for the roasted chicken so we decided to visit while I was in town and it did not disappoint. As many have said, the menu is a little confusing at first but the server will walk you through it. If you are ordering the roasted chicken, I recommend placing the order earlier (as our server recommended) as it takes around an hour to prepare. We ordered an ambitious amount of food and luckily my friend was able to pull his weight (for the most part). Before our food came, we were served black sesame bread, which was interesting but very enjoyable. I thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered: - Bluefin Tuna Tataki: light and refreshing yet flavorful; I personally really liked the dashi jelly that came with it- Lobster French Toast: I love lobster so this was a easy dish to love- Saffron Poached Halibut: halibut was cooked perfectly and flakey. Flavors were good too - Slow Braised Beef Short Rib: beef was very soft and tender, spinach was a little crispy on the top and the tiny potato cubes were a great side - what's not to like- Duck Foie Gras: very tasty but also very rich so beware (I knew what I was signing up for). I do wish the sauce at the bottom was a little lighter to balance out the richness of the foie gras - Roasted Chicken: comes with the CUTEST small parker rolls and a side of crispy potatoes that were nothing out of the ordinary. Chicken didn't disappoint - it was very juicy and flavorful; it also comes with a side salad with shredded chicken meat- Spiced Chai Mousse Cake: I'm usually just okay with chai but this dessert was delicious. The cake itself was moist and light; the pears and crunchy bits provided good contrast. The pear vanilla sorbet on the side was very yummy tooOverall, a very enjoyable dining experience. Not quite a full 5/5 experience but rounding up :)
