Our server was named Mike, he was so funny! We loved him at our table. He was very attentive, had a great personality and rolled with our jokes. I came here for my birthday and had a good time with my friends! The decor is great, they sat us at our table quickly on a busy Friday night. The drinks were great and the food was delicious. Everything we ordered tasted amazing. I would definitely come back!

So the wait was not as hell despite being on the list but I am guessing this is a regular ordeal cause this place is packed. I mean we saw Gervonta Davis walk through so celebrity sightings is a thing. Staff was nice though. You could wait at the bar which we did and the bartenders attention is hard to grab as everyone is calling them but they are efficient. The vibe is great they even have a dragon walk around which is pretty cool. Lighting is nice low so definitely good for date night. Now for the good stuff the food. We had appetizers which consisted of salmon tacos and Waygu skirt tacos. The skirt tacos we ordered another round cause they were off the chain. We then had two rolls of which the names escape me but they were both good. I won't lie I might have come in with high expectations but I have to say I have had better. Nonetheless this place is a must try for anyone. As always try your self and you decide.

Food was incredible and the service was fantastic! Loved the wagyu dumplings! Can't wait to go back.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing food and service.
Would absolutely recommend to anyone in the Miami area. The spicy filet was insanely good as well as the wagyu fried rice!!
Be the first to ReplyAmazing food.
Had the sushi, crispy salmon appetizer, and lo mein. The atmosphere and service were both good. Had a reservation and was seated right on time.
Be the first to Replycome to Komodo if you want overpriced, mid, small portion
come to Komodo if you want overpriced, mid, small portion foods with rude and unfriendly employees and a pretty restaurant!!! The vibe is nice when you walk in but then as soon as you talk to any worker it's ruined. The hostesses at the front never put a smile on. It's not that hard to just smile but they are not friendly at all. I truly wanted to just leave. It's a beautiful restaurant but that is it. The salmon tacos were good but not worth the price for four small pieces. The shrimp dumpling was also good but the portion sizes are ridiculous. The duck was good but the thin wraps were a little oily and chewy for me. We also got the Korean chicken and it was not what we were expecting. It was just ok?? And tip: ask for real chicken because if you don't it comes out as plant based chicken. I understand that fancy and upscale restaurants will be expensive and it is normal for the portions to be small but those fancy places also have EXCELLENT, friendly and professional service. Komodo does not! They need to be more friendly to customers, especially if their food is not even that good. Extremely disappointed in the service and have such strong opinions about big restaurants like this not having good training for their employees. Do better!!
Be the first to ReplyFood was very disappointing.
Lobster appetizer was like tasteless cat food on a rice cracker. Duck was basic in flavor and sauce was over salted. For what we paid I would have expected more intriguing flavors and finishes.
Be the first to ReplyI've had this place on my list for the longest time.
My sister and mom took me for my bday. Initially, the experience was sucky, we were asked to wait near the bar while they call us for our table. We decided to get a drink, the bartender was rude as hell, had major attitude simply because I was asking if they had certain drinks I saw on yelp. I did notice she was nice to other people so I'm not really sure what her problem was. Needless to say I definitely left her a love note on the receipt. I guess they don't feel the need to give good service since the tip is included. Such a shame but that's how miami has gotten. The decor is very nice. Especially the outside seating area. The wait and service was good but felt rushed. You can tell that every party is timed so they can get their next people sat. The food was all great, the dessert and drinks also. Just extremely pricey and definitely don't go there hungry. I think it's way too pricey. They had a very quick show of the dragon dancing around but that was about it. Not sure if there are other forms of entertainment but I felt like it was just all hype. Didn't hate it but no, i probably wouldn't go again unless someone is treating me lol. Feel free to check it out tho. Definitely, one to say that you've at least been.
Be the first to ReplyGreat time.
Luis was very accommodating and helped us switch to an outside seat which made our experience AMAZING. Outdoor decoration is so peaceful and beautiful. Aurielo was attentive and thoughtful, guiding us through the menu and even got us a mojito mocktail! We enjoyed the outdoor ambiance, entrees, dumplings, and dessert. The nonalcoholic limitless drink wasn't good and the lobster "for the table" appetizer was much smaller than expected but very tasty. We LOVED the Japanese pancake dessert - so lightly, fluffy, and tasty. Great nice birthday dinner. Overall this is a classic Miami Asian-fusion kinda place, but they actually do a really good job with their fusion dishes.

I was pleasantly surprised to experience and confirm this place is worth the hype! If you've ever been to tulum or envisioned yourself going, this asian infused restaurant transports you there. I enjoyed this place because its upscale, vibrant, lively and the food is seriously as good as it looks! I went for a friends Birthday dinner with a group of 13. Our reservation was at 7:30pm on a Saturday and it wasn't too crowded around that time. We got seated within 10 min. Although, on our way out it was packed. Here what I had.. Drinks - I indulged in an Szechuan Old Fashion ($20) - It was average. Small Plates - Grutman Pastrami Egg Roll ($23) - 10/10 would recommend. I just wish they provided more than 4 cause they're so good you just want to keep eating em. - Chinese Ribs ($24) - 8/10 the sauce carried this dish, still really good. Main Plates Korean Fried Chicken ($35) - 8/10 Sauce paring on this was just yum. Soy Sake Salmon ($35) - 10/10 cooked to perfection, so good. Sides Wagyu Fried Rice ($32) - 10/10 - This is delish, I'll come back just for this. *Shareable between 2-3 ppl* Looking forward to checking in here again soon especially more toward the evening as there is also a lounge here too. *Note, in groups they only allow for one check but it can be split up to 4 ways. Also, this place is very stereotypical miami when it comes to the price tag so be prepared to spend a coin here plus an additional 18% gratuity.*

Although pricey (pretty on par with Miami) I really enjoyed my meal at Komodo. Every once in a while a dragon would come out through the restaurant which added to the experience. Sushi rolls were good but the Peking Duck and Wagyu Fried Rice stole the show 9/10. I would come back just for that. The Duck is definitely their speciality.

Do not waste your time and money here! First time there, and for sure will never go back. Even with a reservation you have to wait an hour (if you're lucky) or more to get a table. So we just left as we refused to keep on waiting another minute - we had a reservation for a reason. Not to mention the hostesses are extremely rude, horrible service: terrible experience!
Be the first to ReplyExceptional greetings from the staff.
First of all, the ambiance is excellent, with dim lighting. The servers are really professional, and the service is excellent. However, I felt that the overall dinner experience was somewhat ruined by the poor quality of the meal, especially the desserts.

The food is amazing! The ambiance is everything! Both times l've been have been lovely. The only downfall is the wait times by the bar when you already have a reservation. You could be waiting from 30-60 mins additionally to your reservation time.

A wonderful restaurant with a great food! The best part of our experience in this place we ordered a special dessert and Chinese dragon came with it! Service is great! The atmosphere was electric Well come back again!

Another place where you go one time for the experience and never again. The food was mediocre and there were not many options for non-meat eaters. We had a long wait to sit and the service was average; nothing stood out for being a high-end restaurant. The decor is nice because it feels like a jungle escape in the middle of the city but other than that, there was nothing that made a great dining experience.

Peking Duck, Peking Duck, Pecking Duck is my highest recommendation and an incredible fun place in Brickell area.
Be the first to ReplyAmbience is amazing, loved the music.
Food is good for the place not great, but I expected that. Our server Mike was wonderful! Have I had better meals for the cost- yes but you pay for the vibe and name. They have valet parking and garage attached right to the restaurant.
Be the first to ReplyPeking duck is probably the best in Miami and their best
Peking duck is probably the best in Miami and their best dish. The wild mushroom lo mein and the Seabass with truffle is delicious. The sushi is very good and they have a large selection of rolls. Dim sun is also wonderful.Service is better if you dine early. Once it gets busy, service is slow and not what one expects from this type of restaurant. The ambiance is very nice and space is beautiful. Great for a special celebration...

Came here with my girlfriends and will say it did not disappoint. Great food & ambience. Staff was very generous as we were going to be seated in the first floor but were accommodating and allowed us to be seated on the second floor. First time trying wagyu beef dumplings and they were so delicious! The Wagyu skirt steak was very flavorful, but will say it is a good amount to share with two people. After dinner, we headed to the lounge. Great music and vibes. 10/10.

Had an amazing experience here! The baked crab roll was amazing. The stir fried veggies and rice were also delicous. The wagyu dumplings were okay. The ambiemce and vibe is great! Cant wait to go back :)
Be the first to ReplyThe duck was amazing.
I am a big fan of Peking Duck, and I have had it at many fine restaurants. Komodo's version was superb. Perfectly melted fat, crisp skin, great. But no head, and a bun option would have been nice. Almost perfect otherwise.
