Excellent food and presentation of dishes.
Everything was very tasty. The service was also excellent:)

Komodo restaurant was recommended by a friend.
The decor is awesome and great vibes. Many beautiful people around. We had a nice waiter. But the pleasures end there. The highly anticipated dinner ended up being a complete fiasco. Genuinely. I brought my friends visiting from Boston to celebrate their birthday. We ordered some rolls (the Komodo roll, dragon roll), dim sum dumplings, Korean chicken and Japanese sweet potato. In all honesty, the rolls were the worst I had in at least the last year: zero flavor, extremely small amount of fish compared with a whole lot of rice (which was entirely bland and loose), and the presentation itself was 2 out of 10 (see photos attached). Their Japanese sweet potato was insipid -- essentially just a potato topped with tasteless sauce. The Korean chicken was extremely dry with almost no spices/sauce to mitigate the lack of flavor. Dim sum was actually quite good (the only decent dish from our order), while the tea arrived in teapots without lids and got cold right away.Shockingly, when we spoke with the manager and asked to replace the rolls with something else, he told us no. "Next time we will serve you better but we'll take the rolls off the bill." That's great but we were hungry, disappointed, and awaiting good food, as we hardly ate the other dishes. To top it all off, we asked if the restaurant could at least offer us some coffee and dessert in lieu of the disappointing dinner. Specifically, I mentioned it's my friend's birthday and said that I hope there is something you could do to please try and improve this evening and the lacklustre dishes that we ordered. In response, we were still charged for our dessert and coffees. We booked and planned this dinner well in advance and were greatly looking forward to having a fantastic meal... the restaurant was highly recommended but ended up embarrassing me with my friends visiting from out of town on their birthday. For the reputation and price tag of an establishment like this, I would have thought the management would have tried their best to improve the situation. Instead we left hungry and thoroughly dissatisfied.Very disappointing overall experience.

Great dining experience! One of the best service attentive
Great dining experience! One of the best service attentive restaurants I've been too. When my water was half full, the waiter would immediately fill it to keep it whole. The food was very good and not ridiculously expensive either. The music and vibe is exactly what I was looking for. Overall great experience and a must try if ever in Miami!

Great meal and great ambiance! The only thing that was a bit lacking was how long it took them to get us seated. The restaurant is huge and jam packed when we went and we had to inquire about our table twice. As far as the meal go. here's how i would rate some of the dishes we got from best to good:1) kimchi fried rice - spicy and yummy. You dont miss the meat at all. Must get! 2) miso chocolate temptation - kind of amodern take on a hershey pie but with gold flaked popcorn to add a crunch and layers of chocolate mousse/icecream. Pretty delish especially if you like chocolate. 3) miso chilean seabass skewers - melt like butter in your mouth and yummy. Definetly could do with another round. 4) The korean fried chicken was a heaping plateful and delicious but nothing that left a mark to be ordered again. 5) The dragon roll was as good as any dragon roll go. We sat at the bar as the bartenders did their thing while we waited for our table. Our servers were very attentive and checked up on us frequently to see if we needed anything else. All in all, cant wait to be back.

Really cool vibe , food is great , menu is on the expensive side but it's worth it !!
🤮
Service was unapologetically cold.
I was running late and called them and there was no leniency for being 15 minutes late. They could've said "we'll put you at the next available table" but the answer was a cold "no" over and over again. We thankfully got there in time and they put us in a corner table away from the main area. I dressed up for the occasion as it was my birthday and definitely didn't feel like we should've been sat there. When I asked to move they also had a "no" as their only answer. People come here for a special occasion and plan to spend a lot. If they have an ask and want a little customer service then you should really accommodate that. This place didn't care because they have plenty of business. Also food wise I've had better Asian fusion for less. Won't be coming back again.
😍
This place is a definitely must visit.
The atmosphere was so cozy but causal. The food was all delicious and the service was amazing Parking : There is valet parking as well as street parking. Service : we came around 7:30 on a Monday and it was fairly crowded. However we have reservations and was seated within a few minutes . Our server was Gianni (I may have spelled that wrong) and he was probably one of the most attentive servers I have ever encountered. He knew just about every item on the menu and recommended amazing dishes. Made us feel comfortable and was so informative. Definitely ask for him if you are there Food: can't say I ever been to a place where everything was just so good. The sushi was fresh, the ribs were so tender that they fell off the bone , and the desserts were a perfect way to end the night. My favorite dish is probably the lobster dynamite or the honey salmon sushi. The lobster dynamite had a perfect crispy bottom and the honey salmon sushi had such a nice blend with the truffle oil. Honestly all the sushi was good. The halo halo is a must try. It was just so light and not too sweet. The chocolate temptation was richly and creamy . Can't go wrong with either one , just which one you prefer . Drinks: we got the Pikachu , and it was strong but definitely good.
😍

I just love this place beautiful women amazing food and go to music what else could you ask for everything is just cook the perfection and the duck is just amazing
5 star review if I could because they were the best dumplings I've ever eaten in my life. The server first of all kept making weird jokes and making little jabs at our table which seemed highly inappropriate. He also commented on the amount my friend was ordering which was rude. Wagyu dumplings were amazingggg but also gave me horrible acid reflex. Don't order the chicken salad. My friend got it and it tasted like nothing. The price and reputation of this place is what brings it to a 3 out of 5
😍
Such a kind, polite and accommodating staff.
Great food! And an elegant rainforest kind of feel. We loved it!
The food, the staff, and the ambiance was all great!
Tamas the waiter / photographer was amazing!
Thank you to all the staff for treating us like family!
Can’t wait to go back.

This is the Tropical Garden.
This was made by the bartender Billy. Dude made a creative show making this drink. On top of this, it was absolutely amazing and delicious. Highly recommend you see Billy if you are looking for incredible cocktails. This drink cost me $28 with tip but it was absolutely worth the amount.

Moneyed Miami on steroids. Humongous, sprawling venue, felt like dining in an Amazon canopy treetop. Upper tiers are open to the outside and covered. Creative Asian fusion menu, delicious and imaginative libations. We were particularly fond of the intensely flavored truffle and mushroom dumplings and crab noodles.
Service took a bit longer than we would have liked, but considering the mileage from kitchen to table it was reasonable, and wait staff was professional and personable.
Forget enforcing COVID protocols , Miami likes to party and they like to party HERE.
😍
Great service! Great atmosphere and vibes.
Good is so good. Definitely a place you would want to go to. Be prepared to spend $$$
😍
Have been here many times and this place never fails.
We got to sit outside which I highly recommend. Our server Astrid was very accommodating and responsive. She made the experience even better and had a great personality!

Outdoor bar has insufficient seats and service is terribly
Outdoor bar has insufficient seats and service is terribly slow. It took 15 minutes just to get acknowledged by the two bartenders that were there. Once acknowledged saying she will be with us another 10 minutes passed by. Once we placed our order another 10 minute wait. If you go here never walk in as the receptionist suggest "there's three bars you can eat at". That is not the case, the main bar is packed no room to even walk by it. The upstairs bar is very tiny next to tables people are eating next to. The outdoor bar was terrible service, insufficient seating for size. If it had chairs around the entire bar and service wasn't so slow. We could have sat down to eat. Very disappointed as it is a nice atmosphere. Must make reservations next time.
Fast turn around on orders. Graceful waitress and serving staff. Tree house vibes at outdoor seating. Spectacular creamy super sweet potato. Highly recommend that. Overall worth it!

This place was amazing! Once we got there, my lady and I were like "omg, we are so underdressed". However, it was okay. The ambience was stunning and felt like we were in a SUPER fancy restaurant like you would see in a movie, but real life. The bill for two was $398 but darn worth every cent!
🤮
Komodo or raging waters.
You'll never know. I cannot believe people rave about this place to be a Miami hot spot. If you are seated outside it literally feels like a water park. ALSO- If you are into waiting over an hour for your reservation you've come to the right place! While you wait for your table you can look forward to the following things: poorly dressed 20 year olds from out of town, hundreds of men in the only piece of designer duds they own (dior sneakers) AND the bar so crowded you can't even move. Once you get seated be ready to drown your tastebuds in SALT! Margarita was so bad it had to be sent back.Do yourself a favor and pass on this one.

WOW... you ready for the raw real deal review well here it is. Place SUCKS zero stars if I could and here's why. First off your reservation time will be at least 1 hour wait, then the place looks like you are at a fucking water park with terrible vibes and the food matches, it's all trash. Also to add to the fire, the majority of the people there make sure they wear all their designer trashy ass shirts (broke people pretending they got paper. You already know you in the wrong spot when this happens.) Massive tourist trap and food blows trust my review I keep it real or if you don't believe me try it for yourself and then you will take the time out of your day to go on Yelp and write a review!Go to a classy spot without all these clowns acting like they are somebody important cause they are rocking their fake chains etc unless you want to feel like you are 21 on spring break stay the fuck away from this place.. FACTS!!!
The food is good and so is the ambiance, be prepared to wait long for your table even with a reservation.

Arrived here and instantly regretted it.
I had been telling my boyfriend about this place because I kept hearing such great things about it. He took me for my birthday, on a Thursday night. We had a reservation for 8pm and didn't sit down until 9:45pm. The drinks were watery, and the food portions were so unreasonable and not share worthy at ALL! The service was horrible because the waiters were trying to handle so many tables all at once. We got a hole in the wall table with two chairs that clearly they just put to maximize seating space but it was so tight and uncomfortable. We were a few inches away from another table and could hear their conversations loud and clear, that's how close we were. The bill was super pricey for what we ordered and it wasn't worth it. I had ordered the chicken and it was mediocre - the same taste as Pei Wei or a Panda Express and way overpriced. The parking situation was terrible because we had to park in a garage and walk almost 10 minutes to get to the restaurant and I was wearing heels. The place overall in my opinion was and is not worth the hype nor the attention. Save your money and go to another restaurant, where the food and the service is much better.

Fun ambiance, the appetizers (rock shrimp and Shiito peppers), where good but nothing out of the ordinary. The Pekín duck is an experience though, good enough reason to dine there

My fiancé and I had an impromptu date night here this past Saturday. We were staying at a nearby hotel and decided to grab a bite. We had no reservation. We sat at the outdoor bar on the 1st floor. My fiance wasn't hungry therfore we only had the seabass skewers and the crab noodles. We also both had a couple of drinks each...him wine and me cocktails. The food is always amazing here. Unfortunately, like everywhere else, their prices have increased considerably. The bartender, Jennifer was attentive...not overly nice but she did her job. No pics this time but we'll be back there soon.

I always enjoy the food at Komodo however I've noticed the food always arrives to the table unnecessarily quick. This last time I dined at Komodo was this past week (March 10) and I felt rushed by my waiter as if they needed my table which I did not like. The appetizers arrived to the table before we even had our cocktails. Word of advice for first time diners, Komodo is louder and more lively inside while the outside is more calm and chill so you may want to request indoor/ outdoor seating accordingly. Overall, great place, amazing decor, vibe, and food, I just did not appreciate feeling rushed throughout my dinner.
🤢
This place is great if you like beef or pork.
But if you don't eat either, the menu is pretty limited. I had the crab pasta everyone loves, but I got it without the sausage and it was terrible. I heard the wagyu was amazing and a must have. If you have someone in your party that doesn't eat beef or vegetarian, best to skip so your wallet isn't sad :( for example the pasta crab dish (carb lomein) was still 65 dollars a plate without the sausage but tasted like butter with pasta and crab. If you love beef please still consider this restaurant!

5 stars for the food and drinks HOWEVER the service was lacking. Innocent and common questions seemed like a burden to the waiter. We were also shooed away from taking photos outside of the restaurant because we put our to go bags on a counter. A photo literally takes 5 seconds. It was pretty disappointing that such a special dinner was affected by bad attitudes. The food was great and the drinks were amazing, just be prepared for a more aggressive atmosphere.
I like the waygu steak, shrimp fried rice, waygu dumplings, salmon sashimi, hamachi jalapeño and the mojitos. How every the service was beyond back probably because they already take an 18% service fee. Took 20 minutes for me to get my drinks, over charged me for things I didn't order, and very inattentive. The bathroom was disgusting. I went in right after a cleaning person came in and there was blood all over the toilet seat. How do you miss blood???
🤮

The waiter never disclosed that there was going to be a charge for the water. When asked why the $20 charge at the end he said it was the 2 rounds of bottled water we got served. I asked if there was a free water and the guy's answer was: yes, upon request... how am I supposed ti know, if that was my first time? Why do they even bother on great service and great quality food if they are going to be sneaky with the water, for example... I do not recommend and I will not be going back.

I had been here before, my son was excited to try it (based off my raves), and the dinner exceeded all expectations. Sat at a great table with view of main dining area, wait service was excellent, every single course was phenomenal (truffle mushroom dumplings, chilean sea bass skewers, Korean fried chicken, INCREDIBLE plant-based fried rice, Miso Chocolate Temptation dessert).Would go again, and again, and again. A very special experience.
😍
This is a true Miami experience and restaurant.
The people, the food, the oppulence and vibe all scream MIAMI. It's in Brickell and that makes it more convenient than say Miami Beach...but this place would KILL IT there too! From FTL, we Brightlined to Miami (that'll be a separate review) and Ubered to Brickell...it was a cool way to go other than Uber. Make a reservation 2-4 weeks out. You are limited to 1 hour, 45 minutes...but that's cool because they are on their game there. The staff are nothing short of professional. Come a little early to look around there are multiple bars and the views of everything and everyone are amazing!! The food is excellent as it should be in a place like this. My fav was the Peking Duck, but all was good. When you get there, you'll see it hanging in the entrance window and to me, that says GET IN MY BELLY!! FYI...if you make a reservation and need to cancel, do it more than 4 hours before your time or they will charge $35 per person to the card thats taken at the time you make a reservation. Just a heads up!
😍
absolutely my favorite restaurant in Miami! definitely
absolutely my favorite restaurant in Miami! definitely pricey but worth it!! great spot for any upscale occasion, birthday, date night, girls night, or group dinner. when my husband and I first moved to Miami we heard about how amazing Komodo was, so we had to check it out. from the look of other yelpers & the ambience in pictures it looks super upscale so we dressed up in a dress and suit. realistically, you can come cute casual or fancy and anything in between. it is very chic and very trendy, so definitely keep that in mind. food wise- TOP MF NOTCH!!! nothing on this menu you can disappoint. some of my favorites are the chicken salad, the pork sticky ribs, the wagyu dumplings, the wagyu tacos, the Hamachi sashimi, the albacore sashimi, the crab lo mein, the mushroom lo mein, and the of course the Peking duck. I love the passionfruit Mezcal drink as well! and for dessert definitely the chocolate ice cream dessert with the popcorn. I mean there's not enough I can say about this restaurant... the flavor punches you straight in the mouth, everything is cooked to absolute perfection, although it is pricey I do not think it is overpriced for what you are getting with the entire experience that is, Komodo. 10/10 recommend!!!

I had heard good reviews about this place, so decided to give it a shot last Wednesday while visiting with my husband. The decor in this place is out of the world. The "outdoor" area truly feels like you've travelled out of country to a place like Bali or Tulum, and it was magical. The 2 seater booths were so cute as well and were sorta U shaped which we absolutely loved. First off, would like to point out that although, there are a few vegetarian options for veggies like me, it's really NOT worth it for the amount of $$ you are spending. I still enjoyed my meal, but not as much as my husband did. In total, we had ordered 2 appetizers, 2 dinner items, and 2 drinks each:For drinks, I had ordered 1 Pineapple Express and 1 Spicy Jaja Margarita - both of which were absolutely fantastic. My husband had ordered 1 Tropical Garden and 1 They Call Me Bruce - he loved the tropical garden more. For appetizers, I had ordered the grilled shisito peppers, and my husband had ordered the miso chilean sea bass skewers. Both of us enjoyed our appetizers, however, I wish that a dip of some sort was accompanied with my grilled peppers as eating pepper after pepper can get boring after awhile. I understand they are meant to be shared, but in my case, it was only me eating it. For dinner, my husband had ordered the Korean Fried Chicken, and I ordered the 'Daring' Plant Based Kung Pao Chicken. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals, and it was absolutely delicious. We wanted to order dessert, but were WAY too stuffed to eat more. All in all, our bill came out to be around $250 and while it was all good, we don't anticipate returning. We like to try a new place every time we're in Miami. However, I would still recommend for first timers!
Raved to my friends. Had a reservation at 9 pm, we did not get seated 9:30.... Hostesses were rude and not helpful. Service was iffy. Food is good but the overall experience was worse than Chiles. Everyone was rather disrespectful. Food came out before drinks. All strange and bad vibes
🙂

Great food and ambiance at this restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious! The Brussels were probably my favorite. I love a good char on my grilled veggies so I really enjoyed them. The Korean chicken was a little salty, but made for a great left over! I'd recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to cash out while in Miami on a good meal, but note you will cash out... to say the least ;) Enjoy!

Quality of food wasn't as expected.
Wagyu Skirt Steak was well done when I asked for medium rare. Everything is very expensive but lack of quality service. Very nice inside over all. Upstairs their is a club and you also have to pay for valet parking. The drinks were great. Nice for pictures but everything else wasn't worth it.

What a cool spot in Brickel! If you go, definitely get the wild mushroom lomein. This place does not skimp on the truffle. I'd go back again just for that. Folks in my group got a myriad of sushi options, wagu app but my pasta dish was the definite winner of the night.

Very disappointing interaction with leadership, I have been waiting for a reservation for 45 min. I expressed my frustration and was told I was wasting my time. I get I'm in MIami and this place is hype but what you don't do is become dismissive to your customer in the hospitality industry. An apology would have sufficed but clearly ego and a lack of accountability is more important. My hope is this team receives coaching on how to handle feedback.

Great Food, Terrible Service! Discrimination?
While on a Girls Trip I decided on this place as the final dinner for my 35th Bday Getaway to Miami. The music was good, the plates were delicious, I left with an incredibly sour taste in my mouth due to the poor service. The tab was over $1K and while we were aware of the priciness of this place for a dinner for a group of 6. It felt terrible paying for it considering the terrible service we received while out on my birthday dinner. For context we were pretty low-key, we had not been drinking group of mostly 30-something black and brown girls and from the moment we entered to the moment we left the service staff seemed bothered with us. Not explicitly rude, but not accommodating either. The food was delicious, drinks were delicious-- appetizers included but the main server did not want to be bothered with us. We had to ask for appetizer plates to be removed after we finished appetizers, and after Our dinner was not served together and when we asked about missing plates, instead of apologizing the server replied again in a bothered and combative tone...that in Asian style restaurants the plates come out one by one...meaning one has to eat while the others plates are served. While we had never heard about this, and having traveled the world we were upset and but did not reply-- if this was the policy at this restaurant we could not do anything. The last and final straw came in the moment that the birthday dessert was sent out with the kitchen staff because our server basically was unwilling to- it made sense. He had been rude the entire night and seemed to not want to serve us (a group of black and brown women) for some reason. He was able to get away with that type of behavior because the tip was automatically included since we were a group of 6. Imagine an automatic tip for a $1K plus tip. Thats $200 while being rude. I am extremely disappointed as the food was really good, the music was good and this place was highly recommended. I could not even take more than a few bites of the duck which was SO good. Shame on the server, and shame on the server for not having quality controls in place!
Great food, service and crowd. The music is fitting and Everyone is dressed nice, the presentation of the food matches the taste. Top notch everything!
2 words. VERY NICE! Actually, two more words...AMAZING EXPERIENCE!
Overall, nice vibes and delicious menu.
OVER RATED!!! Soooo over rated. Waited over an hour for our reserved table. Staff rude and entitled. Restaurant was soo crowded. Server was nice but overall experience was sooo bad. Food was ok but over priced. Please do yourself a favor and go somewhwere else. Never going again.
Exceptional food & service! Go for their tapas. Good way to taste your way through their offerings. Sticky ribs, Duck lettuce wraps, dragon roll, calamari salad. All good! The only issue was 4 people at a table near us smoking marijuana and the odor of it was very prevalent. No one from the staff did anything about it. We should have made a complaint but did not. That is the only reason they did not get a 5.
