Excellent in every way! Great food, excellent service: I have never seen so many waitstaff in a restaurant. Excellent view! It was a wonderful dining experience! I think they have valet parking I didn't see it. We were able to get a parking spot on the street. I'm sure it is even better when it's a nice spring/ summer evening, so you could stroll around the bay!

Good seafood restaurant right along the water on Emmons Avenue in Sheepshead Bay. Unlike Randazzo's down the street, this restaurant has a more Turkish vibe instead of an Italian vibe, and that is okay.The food is tasty, but be warned not some skimpy portions and slightly high prices. It certainly has a Turkish feel to the restaurant, from the kind of bread that is served here to the wait staff, but again, that is okay. As long as the service is good (it was), and the food being good (it was), I have little to complain about.When it comes to Sheepshead Bay, you have to get seafood. It tastes fresh and will leave you wanting more. That is okay.

This restaurant has a family oriented vibe to it. It is big and spacious. Perfect for any event or gatherings you may be having. The food is really good and serving portions are generous. Great service and your servers are quick to accommodate you!

Late Lunch on October Sunday with relatives

This place is expensive, so if you are on the budget - it's not for you. As per suggestion of my wife's cousin, we stopped here for a late lunch on Sunday. The place was busy, but the service was great. We started with Turkish Shepperd Salad (at $16.00), it was a huge portion, was enough for 4 of us (Turkish fresh baked bread arrived before). Cousin's husband ordered a Fish Soup with vegetables (at $15.00), his favorite. This place is famous for the seafood, but my wife is not eating it, so she ordered a Red Lentil Soup (at $11.00). She liked it. Both cousin and her husband ordered a Mediterranean Sea Bass (aka Branzino) at $35.00 the whole fish fried with the bones, but it's always the choice for them. I ordered a fillet of Flounder (at $33.00), came in as two pieces, fried with lemon on the side and little salad. There is a 25 to 35 minutes wait for the fish to come out, so it's not a quick lunch situation. I was trying to order some Turkish beer (out of stock), so all of us stayed with water. At the end they came out with the presentation of the sweets (pastries, cakes, cookies, ice creams), it was outstanding selections, we ordered some (now, I don't remember the names or the prices here). One thing to remember is parking on the street, I was amazed by my cousin's husband doing a parallel parking in very tight spot (I guess, after more the 30 years living in Brooklyn, you are supposed to learn it).

The meat was "rubberish" and the portions were small. I honestly missed the Turkish spices and flavor here. The atmosphere is nice since it's by the water and the staff was friendly. Parking is a complete CHAOS, but they do have valet which was a life saver. I will not be coming back since there are much better options in Brooklyn.

This restaurant is terrible!! They act like they don't space to sit by water but when you go in there are a lot of open tables! Zero management and staffs are rude! They told us if you don't want to sit here you can leave!! This is ridiculous. Never going to this restaurant again!

This has to be the worst experience i have ever had at a restaurant i had to wait 40 minutes for just a can of soda when there was just 5 tables and the prices are extremely expensive with small portions i spent 250 for 5 plates of food when there was just 3 of us i do not recommend it the food is not worth the price

Nice patio seats in the back of the restaurant that's facing the river and they have an awning that can be opened up for more bright light. We went for dinner on a sat and it was fully packed for the backyard stables at 6:30ish. Food was good but a bit overpriced for the portions they serve. Zucchini pancakes: 7/10, crispy Grilled octopus: 10/10, a must order Branzino Mediterranean sea bass: 10/10, delicious and they serve the whole fish with a small side salad and half a lemon Mixed kabob: 8/10, good but the portion is very small for a $44 plate. I expected a little more meats Overall, food was good but the portions were too small for their prices.

Liman Restaurant is an outstanding place for a good sized celebration. We had a wonderful time there. The staff was highly accommodating, pacing the service with us, kindly working our group, not pushing us to start ordering or to leave. Our party of 16 stayed for over four hours! That enabled us to enjoy our stay there. Other restaurants have been to asked us to commit to a 2 hour time limit or asked us to leave about that amount of time time. The waitstaff worked with us on ordering. They did not clear plates to encourage the next course. They waited for our signal. For a large party they encouraged us to start soon after noon, which we did at 12:30. We could see by the way tables were filling up by 12:30-1:00 that that was a good plan. The setting is lovely. There is a covered veranda overlooking Sheepshead Bay by a bunch of fishing boats. By our table was an exit to a dock which we went out on. We found out later that is a private dock. We were there before the fisherman came in, when we had to leave. It was incredible from the restaurant to watch fisherman bring in and filet a few 70 pound tunas. The patrons seem nice. Family and friends groupings. The dishes are a bit expensive: entrees in the 30's and 40's, coffee $5. For a party of 16 we paid $1,300 including tax and tip. Best to pay with cash. They add a 3% fee with credit cards. Please note they added a 18% gratuity, and said that was enough. These people are not greedy. The food was OK. What I liked best was the hummus which was very creamy. The lava cake was delicious . The shepherd salad was enjoyed by all. People like the calamari. We tried the eggplant over tomato appetizer. Nothing special. Most people felt their entree was OK and perhaps good, nothing delicious. Of course you go to a restaurant for the food, but for us it was the time there that made it a special event. I highly recommend Liman for a party.

Their grilled octopus has been featured in the New York Times and truly melts in your mouth - not tough at all. The restaurant has such a beautiful ambience, located right on the waterfront and the service is awesome. They truly pay attention to so much detail. The fish they have is always fresh and cooked perfectly. I have never had a bad experience at Liman and always look forward to my dinners there, even if it's an hour+ away.

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

Best Answer It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

Best Answer Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

Best Answer Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Best Answer Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

What happens if my bid expires unanswered?

Best Answer Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
