Consistently excellent.
I’ve never had a bad or inferior meal at Murano, everything is always excellent - lovely staff, great food, relaxed ambiance, terrific!
Be the first to ReplyLovely Easter lunch
We booked lunch at Murano on Easter Friday. We arrived after 2pm and the restaurant was relatively quiet. We were offered to choose our table. The initial service was a relatively patchy, with different members of the team making recommendations and then taking our orders. We settled on lunch menu with additional risotto primavera to share. Our pork ragu garganelli with anchovies and pangrattato was delicious, this was followed by additional risotto and Cornish hake, lentil & mussel ragu. Hake was perfectly cooked and pomme puree we ordered as a side, reminded me of some of the best Parisian restaurants we’ve eaten in. We finished our lunch with selection of cheeses which were mostly British to our surprise. We chose matched wines with our lunch, in reality sommelier was only able to offer wine from ‘by glass’ section of the menu rather than proper matched wines. Wine was a let down in our opinion. Overall, we had a lovely afternoon, food was delicious but slightly let down by inconsistent service and disappointing wines.
Be the first to ReplyAnniversary lunch
We had the lunch menu, which was super nice especially the hake for me served with the creamiest of mussels, the hake was beautifully cooked. Lovely breads, olive oil with tasty ham and olives to munch whilst we chose from the menu. Not much of an atmosphere with only thirteen diners, a bit like eating in a library - not really a reflection of Angela’s personality.

A wonderful restaurant that exceeds even high expectations. The food was perfect, service excellent, in a casual and friendly atmosphere. Even better to see Angela hard at work in the kitchen. Would highly recommend.
Be the first to ReplyVery good
Service very good, especially front of house. All food very good quality, presentation. Nice decor. Was a mothers day outing. Would visit again.
Be the first to ReplyVery nice but few niggles!
We visited whilst we were in London for lunch. It’s a lovely restaurant with great staff, a special thanks to Leannah who was lovely and really helpful. The bread and dip were excellent. We enjoyed our food but as other reviews have said some courses were not quite hot enough. Angela was working on this day and it would have been nice if she popped out to greet guests as other chefs have done at other Michelin restaurants we have visited. I know she was busy but people pay a lot of money to dine at these places. I enjoyed the food more than my husband, worth a visit but probably wouldn’t return
Be the first to ReplyGood but not spectacular
Murano by Angela Hartnett. We visited here this evening. In the main the food was good. However....my fish course was cold!!! Unforgivable! If there's one thing I can't tolerate, it's cold food!!! I didn't make a fuss although did mention it when our plates were cleared and the waitress arranged for that entire course to be deducted from our bill which was very gracious of her. One other downside. I heard one of the waitresses making comment to diners at another table that the two gentlemen seated in front of the pass window were concerned that they would be watched by the kitchen staff. She assured them that due to the way the lighting was arranged, this was not likely. I felt this to be very unprofessional. On to the positives. The rest of the food was good, service good. The sommelier excellent and very informative, recommending a beautiful wine. All in all, a positive experience. Just one or two niggles that need addressing.
Be the first to ReplySlick service, tasty produce and delicious plates of beautifully presented food. Top marks.
Absolutely fabulous from start to finish. Visited for my wife’s birthday on a rainy Friday lunchtime. We were one of the first to arrive as had booked for 12pm. The staff gave a warm welcome and helped store away hats, coats, umbrellas etc. The tables soon filled with other diners. Starting with the bread, olives and sliced ham we enjoyed the NV. Champagne presented elegantly the very knowledgeable sommelier. He was a great ambassador for the restaurant with his recommendations based on our individual orders. He helped us try some wines so we could select our preferences. The food was superb. Beautifully presented (baby beets salad especially), delicious (monkfish in crumbs of real note) and every element so well thought through. We especially enjoyed the venison, cooked to perfection. Not something I have the chance to have often. Delicious ingredients and spot on wine pairings. Very slick service, warm and friendly. Definitely be back.

I treated my daughter to a prebirthday lunch here yesterday and cannot fault the attentive, professional yet friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble and they were unobtrusive in their service. Whilst we enjoyed the food, I cannot say it was worthy of a Michelin star. Loved the olives, focaccia, bread sticks and prosciutto, could have filled up on these alone. The pasta course was good , but not warm enough . My daughter had sea bream which was delicious and I went for the belly pork , also delicious but a tad cool to eat. Desserts were underwhelming on the lunch set menu choice so my daughter had the rhubarb and custard soufflé which was outstanding.. I had the apple cake with Granny Smith sorbet, beautiful but I left the cake as it wasn’t that good. They gave my daughter a beautiful cake on a happy birthday plate, very thoughtful. A nice experience but, unfortunately for me, not memorable apart from the staff.

Went on a Saturday night. Lovely small restaurant. Seats are nice and plenty of space between tables for privacy. All staff were attentive and helpful. Food was excellent as expected but could have been a bit hotter in temperature. The way they work the menu is good so you can spend as much or little as you want really. Wine list extensive and pretty much something for everyone. Will go again when the menu changes from Winter.

We have had a wonderful birthday celebration lunch at Murano today. The food was fabulous while Ali and her team were magnificent in taking such good care of us. We will definitely be back as well as recommending the resultant as a special place to visit. A massive thank you.

My second visit here snd it didn’t disappoint. Fabulous food and fabulous service. The staff are really great and the place has a really nice vibe.
Be the first to ReplyA lovely lunch with and old friend
The service was first class and friendly. I had the £50 3 course lunch - loved the ox shin croquettes and beautifully cooked pollack. Nice scicilian wine and and extra £8 for the 5 cheeses.
Be the first to Reply5 star meal with 5 star staff
Honestly one of the nicest meal experiences we have ever had. This is not our usual eating world and was a once in a hardly ever treat, however, the staff made us feel like regulars. There was no heir of superiority or element of patronising even when it was clear we were a long way out of our comfort zone in such a wonderful establishment. It was so relaxed and friendly. My son is a trainee chef and the head chef George invited him into the kitchen and chatted to him for a few minutes despite a very busy service which blew his mind. He was then presented with a wonderful gift at the end of the meal which he hasn't stopped talking about. Thank you for the personal touch and for giving us ordinary folk an experience to never forget.
Be the first to ReplyA lovely evening
I took my wife and daughter for an evening meal and it was truly lovely, the staff were attentive, the food was excellent, Having our own pub restaurant we know how difficult it can be at times but they were an absolute joy, would definitely recommend!
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful meal
Had 4 delicious courses, each one delicious and beautifully presented by great staff. Just the right pace too. A special meal for our anniversary. We knew the pricing so no real shocks ... 4 courses a g n t each... plus a bottle of wine between 2 Inc service charge was £330.00. The food was top draw quality prepared in a way to bring out the flavour of every mouthful. I don't think I have had such a delicious meal for a long time. Will go again when back in London.

We enjoyed a really lovely lunch at Murano. Amazing food and wine and outstanding service. Would have welcomed more pasta choices on the menu but the course we chose were perfect. We will be back and would highly recommend.

This was one of the best, if not the best, meal we’ve had. The food is the most important thing and it was AMAZING. The service was great - friendly and relaxed but knowledgeable. The space feels special but not “up itself”. If you want to eat somewhere really special, but utterly relaxing this is your place. Just fabulous
Be the first to ReplyAmazing evening
Excellent food excellent service and a excellent location. It’s the second time we have been here and we had a fabulous evening celebrating my partners birthday. Highlights were the venison, the halibut and the duck. The Maitre D in the stunning blue suit was a real credit to the restaurant.
Be the first to ReplyMurano Love Affair
My girlfriend and I visited Murano for a Valentine’s Day treat and I haven’t stopped thinking about it since. I’d heard good things about Angela Hartnett's restaurant in the heart of Mayfair, but the reality superseded my high expectations. There was no gimmicky Valentines Day menu which we appreciated, and so we choose 4 courses each with wine pairings from the a la carte menu. The service was impeccable and we were made to feel like royalty. To be honest, we could have filled up on the complementary bread before the real show even began. Fan favourites were the mushroom risotto, mackerel, cod cheek and venison. The wines were expertly matched and varied in style and origin (all from across the Mediterranean). Make sure you bring your big wallet or purse and really make the most of it.

We have just had an excellent meal. A friendly, relaxed atmosphere. We were well looked after and the food tasted incredible. The standout dish was the passion fruit soufflé - I can still taste it, delicious. I was also happy with the prices. We felt the bill was very reasonable for the quality.
Be the first to Replyoverpriced and only ok food
The Mirano was overpriced, borring and poor meny, the food not even good and stiff quite atmosphere. Go to murano cafe at st james instead, much better. We were their for s family lunch, Regards Sandro arcari

Being a fan of Angela for many years it was only eight that we finally could visit on our diets child free trip to London. We weren’t disappointed. From the moment that we arrived the staff were extremely friendly efficient and welcoming. We discussed at length with the sommelier the wine list which was an interesting conversation and we chose a beautiful Chianti. The champagne we had on arrival was one I haven’t tried before and was crisp and really fabulous. The food did not let us down, every mouthful offered something delightful, the flavours were incredible, - sorry if that sounds pretentious but it did and it’s only when you taste food this well done that it happens. It was also a visual delight. Highly recommend to anyone interested in amazing food in a wonderful location. A special mention also to Victor who did a great job of serving us , well done hope to see you soon. See you again soon I hope.
Be the first to ReplyA classy and memorable dining experience
This was a family gathering, including overseas visitors, and our expectations of a high-class dining experience were not only matched but exceeded. All in our party chose the 3-course option, and the food experience was outstanding - servings were compact rather than large, allowing the elegant and stylish flavours and lovely presentation to be savoured. The standout dish was the pea risotto. The wine list was extensive and admirable, though fairly pricey. Our chosen wines were fantastic. Service levels were very high - well trained staff, and a large service team.
Be the first to ReplyClassy and gorgeous.
Just so beautifully looked after from start to finish. Amazing food and loved the staff. Had all the time in the world. Lovely service, and what we ate!! Nothing stands out as it was all really really good. Left feeling very full indeed which is always a bonus. Highly recommended. Its just a class act.
