Sunday Special with feel-good vibes
A fun and delicious lunch in a cool venue. I had the fixed-price Sunday special menu with a great cocktail, plenty of top-quality and healthy food and rounded off with an impressive dessert presentation, which didn't fail to delight. The ambience was buzzy with a live DJ (vinyl-playing) spinning chilled and recognisable tunes, and importantly for me, at the right volume level, so as to not compete with our table chat. The staff were attentive and nicely chatty, so all in all, I felt relaxed and happy in this smart restaurant.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food, great service from Giuliano.
Giuliano took good care of us from start to finish. He basically ordered for the entire table. And was super attentive despite having to serve another table of hollywood celebs. Food was excellent.
Be the first to ReplyDelicious meal, outstanding service and vibe
Had a delicious meal, with recommendations from great staff who perfectly catered to gluten-free dietary needs. Atmospheric setting with a wide range of delicious dishes. A culinary delight.
Be the first to ReplyFabulous atmosphere, great food and 5 star service
I was here for dinner. Nice buzz around the restaurant and I had the chef testing menu. Food was great and the service from the team was fantastic. Specfically a shout out to my waiter for the night, Mr. Giuliano. He looked after me very well.

Nothing special about this place. Went there for a dinner and they made it hard to reserve a table and after several attempts we got a table for 2 persons. We went there and the hosts told us sorry you have to wait for an hour an half !! I said never mind we will come tomorrow and went there the food was terrible. I can tell you the food was not worth it, overrated and over priced for no reason.

Third time in 3 months, this time for a birthday treat. What sets this apart from other Japanese restaurants is the combination of quality and service which we both found impeccable. I find it rare for children to be made welcome in high end Japanese restaurants. Special thanks to our Sicilian waiter, Juliano I believe!
Be the first to ReplyMore ROB-U than NOBU
Have visited twice before and had a great experience food-wise. However, wouldn't go back after last night's dinner experience. Don't often feel compelled to write a bad review but even for London, it was a day light robbery. If you charge those kinds of prices, you really need to deliver on quality and service. First disappointment was a starter of £36 chicken wings - how many chicken wings do you imagine that would get you? Well, my friend - that would 4 HALF wings, not enough to even feel a small child. As well as tiny and very average crispy rice to the tune of £27.50. Things didn't get better from there - Black Cod should be a pride of a Japanese restaurant but it was so BLAH. Putting BLA into BLAND. Yes, please take my £53 for that average dish! But the biggest "shock" came after an innocent offer from the waiter of having truffle shavings on the lobster - those said truffle shavings were £35 added to the bill. I don't know if those truffle shavings were sniffed out by some Royal pigs or hand-picked by the fair hands of the Chef himself but that's the most expensive price for truffles anywhere in the world? To be fair, the lobster dish was great, as well as the Green Tea Tiramisu and the spicy cauliflower. However, having to pay a King's ransom for 3 good dishes isn't the business you want to be in unless you want to lose customers which Nobu duly did now. You have been warned!

Couldn’t recommend this Nobu more. The food is mouthwatering, and I have been craving for the unique flavours since my visit. Service is impeccable!
Be the first to ReplyBest lunch ever
Staff was amazing. They made us feel like home while providing us the utmost luxury. And of course the food was amazing. My favorites are the crispy rice and the spinach salad with truffle.

Had one of the best experiences at Nobu. The food was incredible but the service was exceptional. Felt really looked after there. Looking forward to going again!
Be the first to ReplyNever disappointing, Always a pleasant family dinner
I am a big Nobu fan, loved the Portman square more than park lane in London. Ambience, food and service all tick the box for a lovely family dinner. Recommended to try Tiradito, yellowtail jalapeño, shrimp spicy garlic and O-toro nigiri and of course the famous for miso black cod Been there last year, this year and will for sure visit again when in London another time .
Be the first to ReplyBad attitude
We ate at Nobu on their terrace - not cheap at £135 per head and indifferent service. Following the meal the porter spoke to us rudely as we left because we had apparently left via the wrong exit (despite being escorted in that way at the outset). Terrible attitude. The manager totally ineffectual. Overpriced establishment with arrogant staff.
Be the first to ReplyWe won’t visit again
There shouldn’t be a charge for the service charge for the service they provide. For us it was £30. The pork belly was shocking. We ordered a bottle of still water that we have never received but it was on the bill, which they had to cancel. We laid around £300 for two adults and two children. 2 Kids chicken skewers cost £19 ! Dried out chicken skewers. Why? We were expecting the meal to be particularly good as it’s supposed to be one of the best Japanese restaurant. If you are looking for a special meal and you’re prepared to pay few hundred pounds, find somewhere better.

Been here a few times in 21-22 for work and personal lunches/dinners.
Overall, its ok . I wouldnt come back for the food unless someone really wanted to try it. I've done the omakase twice. -I would avoid it unless you really cba to make decisions.
Sashimi/sushi is ok- nothing to rave about.
Lobster tacos were underwheleming.
Tuna and salmon tacos are insanely good!
The truffle chicken is brilliant, so to is the chilli chicken.
Deserts are definitely good, just avoid the matcha ice cream! -I find it gross!
OK food, slightly disappointing service
We ordered a 7 course omakase. The first 4 courses were amazing which were finished within an hour but it started going downhill… we waited over an hour for our 5th course, only then to be forgotten and received a very disappointing beef tataki, bland and chewy. 6th course was a gummy prawn “soup” which had no flavour at all. At this point we’ve sat at our table for over 3 hours and frankly, getting agitated. Honestly, it just ruined the mood. So we asked if we could box up our leftovers to take home, waitress said yes of course. Got the bill. Then told they’d thrown the food away. The waiters and manager did apologise which we appreciated. However, for the the prices… you’d expect the food and service to be outstanding. It was not.
I have never asked for service charge to be taken off but this experience was an exception.
The front of house need to work on their communication skills as this was truly the let down of this experience.
Don’t think I’ll be coming here again, the other London Nobu’s are much better.
Delicious food, 5* service
Delicious Japanese food. Great quality produce and very good staff to assist with orders. Tuna tataki and miso cod were delicious.
Be the first to ReplyTerrible
Absolutely terrible food. No sauces, no dressings, broccoli was partly boiled and unseasoned . Raw butternut squash was totally unacceptable as it was the raw cauliflower and cold tofu
Be the first to ReplyLost its sparkle
I feel like the food has gone down hill, not as great as it used to be, much better sushi places in London nowdays.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing service, great food
I have visited the restaurant on 14th Jan for my birthday dinner with my husband. From the start the service was very good. Our waiter (who I suspect might have been Italian) was very helpful and super attentive but not overbearing. It really makes a difference when staff knows what they're doing and how to ensure customers have great experience. Food was really good. I will definitely go back.

Excellent atmosphere, food and service.
Excellent food, slick, attentive service from charming staff and reasonably priced for what it is. It also always has a great atmosphere and is busy which is great to see. We will be back, and we recommend it regularly. miso cod
Hugely disappointing.
Very rarely leave poor reviews.
And almost never refuse to pay for service.
Some great dishes on the menu, and turned out to excellent quality. So picked up two stars for that.
But the food is completely let down by the chaos of the place. Had to go speak to a manager, even before the food started to arrive, and ask them to stop screwing it up.
When you're paying t these prices you expect service to be perfect. It was poor by the standards of any restaurant.
I'd leave more constructive feedback, but it's almost impossible to know where to start. I'd challenge any of the management to go and spend their own money and try and enjoy a meal there. Take a big thick notepad though to write down everything that's wrong about it.
Hugely disappointing. So not up to the special occasion we were there to celebrate. 😔
BEST JAPANESE IN LONDON
Great dinner here after 2 years away from London and missing exactly this fantastic Japanese food. Good ambience and service and we ordered a few items ‘off menu’ and they kindly catered with items like vegetarian tacos.
Will be back!
Japanese cuisine at its best
Plating and presentation are basic, but the flavors are truly exceptional. From sushi and sashimi to a spinach salad with parmezan cheese and truffle. Yes, dinner at Nobu is very expensive, but it was definitely worth it.
