Palm Beach Grill Reviews from The Last Year
I wondered how the Palm Beach Grill had fared in the seven
I wondered how the Palm Beach Grill had fared in the seven years since we ate there (long before we moved to Florida). I was not disappointed. First, the service was excellent- everyone, from the hostess and our server, Sacha, to the food runners, everyone was helpful, friendly and efficient. We ordered a wide range of dishes. Everything was terrific - - the iced shrimp and deviled egg appetizers were excellent. 6 large shrimp accompanied by a nice, sharp cocktail sauce as well as a rich mustard dipping sauce. Our mains were excellent as well. The cedar planked roasted salmon was perfectly cooked and the sugar and spice rub had great depth and the salmon was perfectly cooked, as was the salmon salad. A great surprise was the "silver-service Kosher hot dog was excellent (as were the crisp shoe string fries and cole slaw). My filet mignon was nice. Although flavorful and cooked to my instructions, I suspect that they do not broil at a high enough temperature, no charred crust. The braised red cabbage that I substituted as a side was extraordinary; rich and flavorful. The dining room is still attractive; warm woods and comfortable lighting. The noise level is a bit high, but not oppressive. Overall, a great dinner.
Have had the snapper a few times and it is very good and
Have had the snapper a few times and it is very good and the sides are also good. I would never recommend the Dover Sole as it is ruined by adding a breaded crust . Why not such the traditional way? Staff is attentive.
Well...I really hate to give a bad review for the "Grill"
Well...I really hate to give a bad review for the "Grill" but wow...they changed the sauce on the Snapper Zydeco and it's horrible. I was able to withstand them switching from blue cheese olives in my dirty martini's to goat cheese (who prefers goat cheese olives over blue cheese in a dirty martini?) and then dropping the prime rib but to switch the Zydeco sauce and then not disclose it???? Our waitress was lovely and only on the job for a couple weeks. She didn't even know about the previous sauce that had been the same for at least 20 years. I think management has gone too far and there's way too many great options on the island and in West Palm. It's the end of an era. Too bad.
The service here is unbelievable.
Im not one to usual review places, but after seeing a 4.1, I had to say something. The food here is incredible and a 5.0 and even begin to describe it. Its very nice inside with a wonderful choice of music and decor, best place in palm beach.
Skip the Arrogance and the price tag
Can’t recommend Palm Beach Grill. They no longer serve prime rib as per our waitress the chef said they can’t find good enough cuts. I ordered the snapper deep fried more breading than fish and over mayo coleslaw. For the $$$ there are better options with better fish you can actually see. We had an issue unrelated to the food and the manger and general manger unprofessional rude and disrespectful with no apologies. Look at the wensote for hillstones they take emails limited but can’t respond … strange. We have been customers at all Hillstone restaurants across Florida and US. They have declined and can blame staff shortage … but the portion size has also declined the deviled eggs they should remove from the menu if they can only serve 1.5 of them J Alexander’s by far better serve better menu Read google reviews and yelp there are a lot of reviews like this sad they don’t care I guess they figure they have the palm beach seasonal.
I cannot recommend Palm Beach Grill.
No longer serving prime rib apparently. Snapper was over breaded. I could have had better fish at McDonalds. The service has declined so much. The management is unprofessional. We had an incident a manager stood at our table talking loudly to us about. We asked her to leave the tone she had was offensive and she didn't not. To further the matter the GM just as aggressive and rude over the phone and contradicted herself. Maintained and incident never occurred yet the turned around and asked what it meant when he said sorry to me. Apparently they have no district manger it's private information and PBG poorly represents all of Hillstones. Customer service is dead here. I would give no stars if I could. Stick to J Alexander's
This restaurant has everything you want with a beautiful
This restaurant has everything you want with a beautiful ambiance and delicious food. The service is impeccable and the way they present food is second to none. I have tried the prime rib, the red snapper and many appetizers. Last night we had Oysters St Charles, French Dip, Shrimp cocktail and an amazing hot dog....yup you heard me a hot dog!
Yummy
Really delicious. Not as good as cherry creek grill in Denver. Wish the menu was bigger. These restaurants are expensive but they aren’t crazy expensive and they deliver with food quality and excellent preparation. Service is excellent.
Finally got a reservation to enjoy this fabulous restaurant!
Beautiful restaurant with amazing staff. Martini chilled to perfection and refreshed with a frosty glass midway. The best wedge salad!! The yellow beets made it along with just the right amount of bacon and blue cheese. The ribs are fall off the bone and delicious.
Awesome food, great ambience, excellent service.
And great value. Will keep going back for sure
Horrible food for the price.
High volume restaurant that is in a strip mall with overpriced clothing stores. Staff and managers are very sterile and fast paced and appear to be worried about everything; it must be easy to get fired here if you make a mistake. Very rushed service, French fries, sandwiches etc. everything one could get at a deli or a franchise restaurant like Chili's or Bennigans. Unless you want to throw money away, I'd skip and go spend where the service isn't neurotically fast and food quality is average and extremely over priced.

We had this reservation made for weeks and were really looking forward to it, as we are HUGE lovers of your sister restaurant HILLSTONE in winter park. We arrived right at 6:00 for our reservation, we did not get sat until 6:18. So, we waited 18 minutes with a reservation. We ordered as soon as our waitress came over, she was very polite and sweet. We got the rosemary bread as our app and it was delicious just as it is at Houston's. For our meals we both got prime rib. It arrived quickly but then we had to wait an odd amount of time for the horseradish sauce we asked for. ( by the time she brought it, my husband was almost half way done already). We order prime rib anytime a steak house offers it, and unfortunately this was one of the worst prime ribs we've ever had. There was barely any flavor, we were both very disappointed. I had to ask for my water to be refilled and had to remind the waitress about my husbands drink order that still had not arrived. No one brought over the special fry salt that they normally bring. Once we finished we sat there for almost 15 minutes before someone came to clear the plates or ask if we wanted dessert. Honestly, the service was awful - she was sweet and smiley but when comparing the service to hillstone/ they blow palm beach grille OUT OF THE WATER. The ambiance is dark and crowded. When waiting for your table you are asked to stand by the bar with a bunch of other people who are all being smushed and bumped into. ( they do have valet parking ) We will not return to palm beach grille.
Food was amazing.
However amazing comes with a price. Great atmosphere and service I will diffidently return.
Trail of tears
waited over an hour. I believe squeaky wheel gets the oil. Such an aggressive clientele ! Assured a seat in five minutes after an hour… that was a joke! All the snappy turtles get the seats….
One of our go to places in Palm Beach.
The ribs are excellent as well as the fillet. You can never go wrong with either lots of energy and a fun spot for dinner.
Have eaten here several times.
Good food and ambiance. Often must wait even if you have a reservation, but worth it.
Good food and ambiance.
Have eaten here several times. Hostesses are generally stuck up. Most recently, had an 8:15pm reservation and wasn’t seated until 9pm. Despite this, food and ambiance is great. Will return.
Excellent restaurant
Delicious restaurant owned by Houston’s group . Prime rib dip sandwich , fried oysters, kale salad. Stone crabs , & ribs were all amazing. We loved it.
This place is the best.
it's so consistent with the Hillstone brand. The hotdog is amazing and I don't even like hotdogs. The service was excellent. The food was on point and the management is doing everything right. Highly recommend
One of the best properties in the Hillstone portfolio.
The GM and the entire management team keeps this place in top working order while maintaining all of the Hillstone element brands. Food is a 10. Atmosphere is 10. Service 100. The family feeling you get when you walk in this place is unparalleled. Forget the stuffiness of Palm Brach proper and do yourself a favor and come spend a night at The Grill and enjoy.
Can recommend only for the weird hot dog and
Can recommend only for the weird hot dog and people-watching. Otherwise overrated. Now here's an extra sentence to get this review up to Yelp's character requirement.

I've been in the hospitality industry for 15 years and I was astounded by the way the staff and management treated my friend and I at The Palm Beach Grill! Such a disappointment, when you look forward to having a great dinner and accompanied with high standards of service, that at the end I was dumbfounded by the way the manager spoke to us! Not only did it ruin my dinner my birthday as well!
Not having a tomato salad on a Saturday night …
I just wanted a tomato salad and they said they were out of this dish. Ridiculous! The dishes for the rest of the family were fine.
Still excellent
My wife and I had dinner with another couple at Palm Beach Grill last night, a Saturday. We had all been there several times before, and always had a great experience (I wrote a review after my first visit 4 years ago). I was a bit concerned about recent negative reviews saying that things had gone downhill after management changes, but that wasn't our experience -- it was just as good as ever. I made a reservation about 9 days in advance. I tried making a reservation online, but there were no good times available, so I called the restaurant and they fit us in. They offer valet parking, but we've never had trouble finding a spot in the Royal Poinciana Plaza parking lot. We checked in on time for our 6:45 reservation, but we had to wait about 15 minutes to get seated. They were very busy. My wife and I started with martinis, our friends had an old fashioned and glass of wine. Our friends shared a salad, but we didn't have any starters. For dinner, I had the Creole Jumbo Shrimp, my wife and one of our friends had the Florida Red Snapper, and the other friend had the Cedar Plank Roasted Salmon. None of us had dessert. My wife and I have had both the snapper and shrimp dishes before, and they were just as good this time. Our server Ashton and the other waitstaff provided excellent service. Some recent reviewers complained about being rushed out after finishing their meal. While they did collect some items from our table when we were done, they didn't take our water glasses as others have reported, and we never felt pressured to leave, even through we were there for 2 hours. There were also complaints about the restaurant being out of some menu items, but we didn't experience that. I'm glad that we didn't let the negative reviews deter us from eating here again, and we'll definitely be back. My only complaint is that they don't change the menu much, it would be nice to see some new options for our next visit.
Such a disappointment!!
No more oysters St. Charles… Again something delicious and popular of the menu. After the smoked salmon and other items that we liked. Not much choice on the menu anymore. Such a disappointment!!
poor management decisions ruin a good thing
I have been going to this restaurants for several years and it has always been one of my favorites. Well apparently there is new management and they have made changes that don't make sense when you have something going good. It started off when the server told us - sorry we are out of oysters, snapper, pork chop, and prime rib. Are you kidding me - a Saturday night and out of the most popular dishes. Then when reviewing the menu I notice that they changed the description of the fried oysters presentation. Even though they were out I asked about the change and the server told us that it was a management decision which she did not know why as it was one of the most popular dishes and also my favorite. So we ordered and when the Caesar salad arrived we noticed it was different. Again we asked why the change and the server said it was to cut cost. Again why when it was so successful and popular before? Then when our entrees arrived I tasted the mashed potatoes and coleslaw and it didn't taste the same and not as good. Again I asked the server and she told us that they changed the way they made it and added cabbage to the mashed potatoes to cut cost. How disappointing. You would have thought with the big price increases they just did with the menu that would cover any cost issues if there were any ( actually being in the food service business pricing has gone down the last several months). Very disappointing and some very poor business decisions by the owner Hillstone restaurant Group, which will certainly change my opinion about this restaurant
excellent dinner
We visit every time we are in Jupiter to play golf. It was very busy when we arrived without a reservation and the 5 of us were seated at a 4-person table, which was a little cramped but at least we were seated. The service was excellent. My husband had the NY strip and of course I had to taste it. It was perfectly cooked and tasty. I had the baby back ribs and they were also very good. We decided to share a sundae for dessert to (and I've never had a bad sundae).

Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue? |
|
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
