Red Phone Booth Downtown Atlanta Reviews from The Last Year
IYKYK!! This is the coolest spot in Atlanta, but you do
IYKYK!! This is the coolest spot in Atlanta, but you do need to know the code to get in. There are a couple ways to get the code- a member, local hotels/restaurants, or become a member. But the cocktails and food are really good!! This is the perfect spot to enjoy a cocktail and cigar after work. The bartenders are amazing and it was soo cool to watch them make drinks. They are so impressive. Definitely check it out if you are able to get the code. Good luck ;)
This place is amazing! There is nothing about it that
This place is amazing! There is nothing about it that wasn't the highest level. Our bartender Cash is moving to the Nashville Red Phone Booth and we will make a trip just to see him again. The food was perfection and I have to eat dairy and gluten free. The vibe in the bar was super cool, excellent feel.
Classy, fun, cool, down to earth staff.
Great cigars, excellent mixed drinks. Highly recommended.
Best drink i have ever had in my life.
And I have been drinking awhile. All I asked for was the bartenders choice. Freaking amazing. Do not hesitate. Go get your life changed now.
The service was excellent.
The vibes were great and the pizza was spot on. I highly recommend this for a night out in ATL
This place was great! I went based on reviews visiting
This place was great! I went based on reviews visiting Atlanta for a convention. RPB did not disappoint - on a Monday! The staff was totally professional. Clint the bartender has to be one of the best in the country. He did something (I don't want to give away) I have never seen while sitting at the bar. The cigar selections were excellent. I will be back.
This place is so fun.
We went before there were a lot of people smoking cigars (be aware that happens) but had some wonderful classic cocktails that you can't get elsewhere like the Ramos Fizz.
Cute concept but the drinks were subpar.
I tried a pisco sour and another drink that I can't recall the name of. However, it was listed as having nutmeg. When the drink came with no nutmeg the bartender said they were all out, but he should've told me that before he made the drink because after that I didn't want it anymore. The bartenders were very nice but these were not the craft cocktails that you'd expect from a speakeasy.
The Red Phone Booth is an amazing experience--and you
The Red Phone Booth is an amazing experience--and you should go there. An experience and a sociological Rorschach test. Go alone or go with a group of friends, but if you go with a group, disconnect for a bit and soak it all in. Walk in the humidor and pick a cigar. Order a martini or an old fashioned or Prescription or a Vaccine. Crack open the Red Phone Booth booklet and read the Rules of the House. Eavesdrop on some conversations at the bar or the sofa next to you. Order something decadent from the menu. Enjoy the light and the smoke and the feel of the leather. And turn off your cell phone and forget for a moment that you have a job or any responsibilities. Experience the moment. And when it's all done, walk outside into the Georgia night and feel the air. Go to bed and wake up and remember the experience--forever.
Great local for casual drinks, tapas, and cigars.
A buddy and I enjoyed our visit last week while in Atlanta. Check it out!
WOW
Simply amazing!! Staff, location, experience! I have been here several times. Best Speak easy I have ever been too. A must!
Beautiful bar, beautiful people, beautiful drinks!!
As craft cocktail enthusiasts we always look up the “best craft cocktails” when visiting other cities. The Red Phone Booth lived up to the hype. From the fun of tracking down the exclusive entry code, to the ambiance and, most importantly, enjoying the delicious cocktails, every single aspect was on point. We also were lucky enough to spend some time with the owner and president of the operation and it was immediately clear that through and through this business has been built with love and a passion for creating the best drinks in town as well as an exceptional customer experience! We can’t wait to visit some of the other locations! Thank you for creating one of our favorite memories in Atlanta! We will definitely be back.
Sneaky, Fraudulent Practices with Surprise Charges
I'm sad to have to leave this review, but I cannot in good conscience rate an establishment any higher than 1 star when they intentionally defraud customers. I came with colleagues, most of whom were first timers. Several of us ordered their signature cocktail, the "Smoked Old Fashioned," which is $16. When we got the check, it seemed higher than expected, so I asked the server to see the itemization. She declined, saying it is only possible after paying. I should have asked for the manager right then - that was my mistake - as it is absurd not to be able to provide an explanation for charges before paying. After getting the receipt, my suspicions were verified - they charged us $20 for each cocktail. Fortunately (or so we thought), Red Phone Booth offers a satisfaction guarantee, which reads: "we offer a 30-day money-back guarantee to ensure that you are completely satisfied with your purchase. If for any reason you are not happy with your purchase within 30 days of receipt, please contact us and we will be more than happy to refund you." After contacting the management, they declined my request for a refund, instead claiming that the reason the cocktail was $20 was because we changed the whiskey. However, we did no such thing. In fact, one of my colleagues doesn't even know the difference between bourbon and rye, so it's unfathomable that she'd request to change the whiskey. But in retrospect, the server did ask us after ordering, "Do you want the {something}, {something}, or {something}." I'm actually a whiskey guy, but I wasn't even sure what she was saying - none of them were whiskies or brands I recognized, so we asked her to pick. She never told us there would be an upcharge, and we certainly didn't request a change. It felt as though we had ordered a dish with three options for sides and we asked her to pick one. I have no idea what the default whiskey is, nor do I have any idea what we ended up getting. After explaining to management, they changed the story, now saying that the money back guarantee only applies to membership fees. Which seems to be directly contradicted by the next line on their website: "Red Phone Booth will not provide membership refunds for any reason." I'm afraid I've lost confidence in the integrity of this establishment and need to warn others to either avoid the bar entirely or carefully review any charges before paying.
Rude shake down
Do not go to this establishment. I had a VIP card from our hotel concierge which the bounced confiscated. We were a group of 5, waiting in line bouncer approached one of the men in our group and asked for $20 to get us in. We had no cash so he ignored our party and let all others in before us until we left. Sad thing is while waiting, we went to atm and got cash and he would have gotten more than he asked for had he not written us off. Very rude treatment for a corporate group.
A perfect drinks experience
This is difficult to write as we do not want to give too much away as the experience is unusual, but in a good way, and not to be missed. The bar is by invite on the door but well worth looking for the iconic red phone booth as you walk down the street. The atmosphere is sophisticated but very relaxing. There is food available but we did not eat. We enjoyed some great cocktails including a Floradora, Horses Neck and Dark and Stormy. There is also a fantastic selection of bourbons and whiskies and I really enjoyed the Redemption Rye. Finally a massive shout out to Marisa who made our visit even more memorable and her skills were great to watch and her advice perfect. Please visit ! Sorry just to point out this is a Cigar Bar so people may be smoking.
