What a fantastic experience.
Absolutely love this place. My favorites were the oysters, pimento cheese hush puppies, the hoe cake, and the trout.I love the peanut butter budino dessert, and my girl loved the rhubarb dessert. Kelsey was absolutely amazing. We will definitely come back the next time we are in town.

Half chicken for $45?? It was 2 chicken legs, more like a quarter.
Great restaurant will lose business from exorbitant parking rates nearby
Lovely evening dinner marred by ridiculously parking in nearby Pack Place Parking garage - $25 for three hours. Despite good food and service, we will have to consider whether downtown Asheville is worth such an exorbitant fee. We have other options. Poor signage about parking rates made the charge even more offensive.

Really enjoyed being seated near it. The menu is creative with surprising ingredients packed into each item. Very accommodating for my dairy allergy - I was dining with a large group and was given my own annotated version of the menu so I would know what my options were. I was willing to forgo an appetizer, but Allyson + the kitchen came up with a veggie plate for me! I was surprised and really just amazed at all the flavors on the plate. I ordered the scallops and the modified plate of them was delicious. So many different flavors included and it was plated beautifully. I loved their wine menu and the Te-pach-eh cocktail. Finished the meal with lime sorbet which had flavor that transported me to a pier at the beach. I'm so grateful for the excellent kitchen here and Allyson! Her ideas were insightful, helpful, and delicious. Bonus points for her suggestion for a member of my party to have a dessert wine spritz. Can't wait to come back and try more items from the menu!

Great food, well prepared, creative menu, friendly staff. We brought our dog and sat on the patio and it was a lovely night. The patio is enclosed so no need to worry about rain.

We enjoyed this farm to table restaurant! Our server, Nicholas, helped a lot with my sister's dietary restrictions. He checked things with the chef, offered menu suggestions, and was attentive and friendly. We sat in a nook by ourselves and it was so fun! The little touches, even in the restroom with the industrial toilet paper holders, candle, and yummy soap were nice! Our only wishes: a vegan/gluten free dessert that was not sorbet, and a smaller fish option with no eyeballs & bones!

Top 3 dining experiences of my life time. I've dinned and worked in varying Michelin starred restaurants all over Europe and the US. We had 9 dishes at the chef counter al 9-10/10. I don't drink alcohol anymore so the NA craft cocktails were brilliant. The food was thoughtful, clean, well balanced and perfectly seasoned.

Overall the food was good.
We started with the Pimiento Cheese Hushpuppies which were good and lighter than normal hush puppies. The best dish we had was a sausage and Sea Island Red Peas dish that really did not need the sausage. Would have loved just a big bowl of the Red Peas. We also had the Hot Water Cornbread which was interesting. For mains we had the Celery Root Schnitzel and the Wood Roasted Chicken, while both dishes were good, in both cases the accompaniments of the dish were better than the Schnitzel or Chicken.

Pretty cool spot downtown right by the art museum.
It's got an industrial vibe and a nice bar. I could have drank their Collins cocktail all day, and the burrata was great appetizer. We tried it all! The trout, the rice, the brisket, and even the gnocchi- all of them were great. Our server was attentive and helpful. Only suggestion is new chairs, sorry to be picky.

William, our server, was absolutely fantastic. We sat at the bar that looked over the kitchen and got to learn how a top rated kitchen operates. I especially appreciated the nonalcoholic cocktails available. My husband really enjoyed his tequila cocktail with grapefruit and lime. Our favorite dishes were the Barada salad and the wood roasted trout.I would definitely return to this restaurant

Overall great experience from the time we walked in until we walked out. Our server, Carrie, was attentive and knowledgeable. Drinks were amazing, and the food was perfectly prepared. Great job, and definitely recommend.

My fiancé and I went to Rhubarb for a romantic date night, and had an amazing meal. We had a reservation and were seated promptly at an intimate table which was lovely. Our server was Kelsie, and she explained the menu and was very attentive and knowledgeable. We started off with the three cheese plate and drinks. The cheese plate was well composed and delicious. My fiancé got the half chicken and he said it was flavorful, moist, and tender. I got the scallops and they were perfectly cooked and the flavors were well balanced. It was one of the best dishes I have had. I'm not typically a dessert person, but the lemon tartlet was impeccable. It was a perfectly balanced. We also chose to go with the dessert wine pairings that were recommended and it was delicious! Overall, 10/10. We will be back!
