Hi we visited Scotts restaurant on Sunday 24th July & were really looking forward to it after recommendations from friends & customers. My partner & l have been in the fish & seafood business for last 37 years so this was our forte, however we were left very disappointed with the food & service. We ordered drinks which took about 20 minutes to arrive & the bar was literally behind us.My wife & partners wife ordered King prawns for starters which were bland at best.I had Langoustines & was asked if I wanted them peeled but choose to shell them myself. On arrival I realised these had been previously frozen as the eyes were dull & sunken but they did taste nice but would have been far superior fresh. My partner had razor clams which were excellent. For mains my wife had the Monkfish which was nice,my partner’s wife had Lobster which had also been previously frozen or overcooked as it was hard to get tail meat out of shell. If it was previously frozen this is hard to comprehend as Lobsters are in season & plentiful. For mains my partner & I ordered the special for 2,Fresh Turbot. On arrival we realised it was a farmed Turbot which is not in same league as a wild.Maybe because we were only dressed casual that we never received the best service or didn’t arrive in a prestige car as we walked to the restaurant. Some people may be fooled by previously frozen or farmed but after nearly 40 years in business we aren’t & wouldn’t recommend to anyone,
