Loving the food and excellent service.
One of the best sushi that I have. Had the omakase when I was there and it was just wow. Amazing and everything tasted fresh.

We celebrated our anniversary there and the staff made the effort to make it so special! We got the omakase and it was well worth it! Everything was so yummy especially the sardine and that hand roll!! 10/10 definitely recommend, will go back for more!

My boyfriend's family and I came on a Wednesday night with reservations at 7. We were sat at a table for four adjacent to the bar seating. Service was impeccable! My boyfriend's mom had been here before, and Charles and the chefs have always accommodated to her food restrictions. Charles provided the best service and even gifted us with a spout of off the menu sake. Decor was elegant, sleek, and beautifully simple. Parking is free in a shared lot, and it was a little difficult to find because there is no big sign. We all ordered the 14 course omakase ($145 pp) and added a king salmon nigiri ($9.5). The chefs adjusted the first course for his mom to a uni topped tofu from a past omakase menu. The tofu was so delicious, well seasoned, and had almost a gelatinous texture. The uni was sweet, and it was such a memorable bite. Our first course was a sea snail salad dressed with a dashi jelly, crushed marinated tomatoes, and bamboo shoots. It was refreshing, bright, unami along with lots of contrasting textures. The second course was a seared scallop topped with yuzu foam and sat on a koji butter sauce. The scallop was seared, caramelized, and perfectly cooked, so incredibly tender that it melts in your mouth. Yuzu foam was tarte and koji butter was addictive. The third course was a black cod in a kabu dashi broth and topped with mustard green and a drop of yellow mustard. Cod was firm, flaky, and soft, broth was light, the mustard green stalk had a nice crunch, and the dollop of mustard was a nice kick. All the nigiris were so so yummy and perfectly seasoned. The fish was fresh, and its colors were so vibrant. We loved the mackerel wrap, and the squid was such a fun surprise! The last course was a soup with seaweed and oysters. It was a clear and simple broth that cleansed our palettes for dessert. For dessert, we ordered a scoop of black sesame ice cream ($9.5) and sake creme brulee ($9.5). Ice cream was dense and sesamey. The creme brulee was not very set and more liquidity but the sake flavor was prevalent. Overall, we had an incredibly great time trying out the different courses and nigiris from the omakase. The food was delicious, the kaze no mori sake was really good, and the service was top notch. Definitely a pricier restaurant, but you get what you pay for and it's worth it once a while. The omakase menu changes every 3-4 months. My boyfriend's mom is already thinking about her next visit!
This was outstanding.
I'm honestly left speechless. We went out for dinner for my husband's birthday and they had a little card that wished him happy birthday at the table. They also offered complimentary effervescent sake (or maybe it was champagne?) We chose items a la carte, but I definitely would be interested in the Omakasa in the future. Pretty much everything stood out. Hon Maguro, hairy crab, nodoguro, tai, shoyu ikura. We did order some fresh wasabi on the side, but I wasn't a fan of it. Same with the ginger. Something tasted off, but fortunately each dish didn't need the wasabi or ginger. We were on the fence about getting dessert, and I'm really glad we did! We actually ended up ordering another dessert because it was so good lol. I am not a huge fan of hojicha usually, but the hojicha panna cotta was unreal. They put a lot of thought into the texture of that dish. This is definitely "treat yoself" dinner, since it's definitely on the pricier side, but it is all worth it. Service is pretty good as well; Eve was our waitress and was friendly and knowledgeable and provided excellent recommendations. I ended up getting a cold sake as well, and I'm glad I did. I thought it was a little weird to drink sake out of a wine glass, but it didn't entirely detract from the experience. It's a pretty small restaurant, so it felt very intimate. The restaurant is located in a plaza with Safeway and other unassuming stores. Definitely will be back. No question.

I've ate here twice now for their omakase and highly recommend it! My first time was good, but my second time here was great. The restaurant is located in a strip mall with plenty of marking. There's no obvious sign, so it can be easy to miss. The omakase course includes three appetizers, 10 piece nigiri, and soup. I'm not sure if the appetizers are seasonal, but when I went in March, there were tsubugai (sea snail), scallop, and black cod. We also didn't sit at the bar, so I can't comment on that. All of the appetizers were seasoned well, and a great start to the night. The fish in the omakase was buttery and fresh! Honestly, everything on the omakase menu was delicious. At $145/person, the price is reasonable. The service was great. My friends and I all enjoyed the sake recommendations from the worker, and she was kind enough to give a sample cup that a few of us shared before we made a decision. It was my friend's birthday, so they also brought out a complimentary item for him. We had two people in my group who couldn't eat wasabi, and the chef was able to accommodate this; the worker also gave the non wasabi nigiri to the correct people. They've had instances where the non wasabi dishes were brought to the wrong person before at other restaurants, which then makes it become a guessing game of is there wasabi or no wasabi. The lighting in the restaurant is dim, giving it a relaxed vibe. Overall, I'll definitely be back for their omakase!
Super challenging to find The sign os a little
Super challenging to find The sign os a little larger than a postcard That said; I can't think of a more worthy culinary quest than the "Search for this Holy Meal"! Party of three, we ordered 2 お任せ a couple of a la carte selections to share. The plan worked well, but next time I would just order three お任せ . Service was non-intrusive and efficient. Presentation was beautiful. The dining room is modest inside and designed to allow two seatings of about 90-120 minutes duration which was quite adequate. The food was absolutely marvelous from melt in your mouth toro to the savory kani kamameshi. For a delightful and very special feast for eyes and palate, this will not disappoint; not, however for the faint of wallet.,

Definitely my favorite sushi restaurant!! The Omakase experience was excellent and I highly recommend it. The food was amazing and very high quality! The service was great and the atmosphere is private with an aesthetic and minimal space.

Sushi Jin is a top-notch sushi spot in the Bay Area! We visited for our anniversary and were impressed by everything - the food quality, service, ambiance, and cleanliness. The appetizers were delicate and beautifully presented, and the sushi featured rare ingredients that surprised even me, a Japanese food enthusiast. The chefs and staff were incredibly welcoming and made our special day even more memorable. We'll definitely be back to try their seasonal offerings!
Everything from service to the chefs was great.
Super authentic Japanese menu and decor! I'd say the omakase was really worth it! 14 course. We dined at the bar which made the experience much worth it!

Impeccable service, unique omakase starters, followed by perfect size and proportioned nigiri, and great selection of Sake. Minus tiny deduction for the menus not including a dessert. So we ordered two desserts and they were so delicious. Overall highly recommended.

Great food and a lovely omakase!! It's a small spot, but definitely worth the experience. I can only speak for the omakase menu, but I believe you can dine here for a regular sushi dinner
Very unique appetizers, and flavorful pieces of nigiri.
Service was outstanding. Plentiful parking in a safe area too. Check out their bathroom, they have a candle heating up some essential oils or something. I highly recommend this place, you will not be disappointed.

Wow. I'm not usually one to spend $200 per person on a meal, but when one of my best friend's came into town and requested good sushi, I found this place on Yelp. They offer an Omakase course for $145, and the experience was excellent. You do not have to do the omakase course though, and they do have an extensive a la carte menu. They have two dinner seatings: one at 5:30PM and the other at 7:30. It's a small, simple restaurant, and everyone who dines at 5:30 does have to leave by 7:30. One of the reasons I chose this spot, is I love having wine with my meals, and not that many Japanese spots offer wine! They had white wine, as well as numerous sake options. The service was great. Everyone was friendly and introduced each of the courses to us. I liked that there were warm dishes throughout the course including a deliciously juicy black cod, along with a soup at the end. Usually when we go out for simple nigiri/chirashi, I don't necessarily like every fish, every sushi presented in omakase was just amazing. The fish was so fresh and tender. The chef lightly flavors everything for you, so you're not given any additives to season yourself. Every bite was exquisite. I wanted to get a whole tray of every fish. The only dish I didn't care for was the sea snail appetizer, mainly since it was firm in texture. It's described with fancy words that we had no idea what we were eating, until I asked during the last bite haha We ended the meal with desserts, black sesame ice cream and Hojicha Panna Cotta which were both super creamy. (not included in Omakase). My husband asked if the Omakase was enough food, and I'd say that without the dessert I wouldn't have been full, but satisfied enough from the array of flavors. Overall, great experience.
We had the most incredible experience dining here on
We had the most incredible experience dining here on valentines day. Excellent and super friendly service, very attentive and explained everything in detail without rushing through the menu, down to what order to eat things in, and how. The interior is just gorgeous, minimal japandi aesthetic that they just knocked out the park. The omakase was a masterpiece, easily the best we've had, including Japan and New York. Some of our favorites: The scallop in koji butter was ridiculously good, i wanted a glass of that butter to drink, and the yuzu was the best usage of foam in dining I've experienced, balanced the dish perfectly. The mackerel handroll, as well as the other mackerel nigiri. I adore mackerel so this isn't surprising, but my girlfriend is not a fan yet she loved these. The black cod - on par with nobu, just perfectly cooked and buttery. The uni tasting platter was just next level indulgent, they go hard on the portions. The santa baraba uni in particular was some of the best we've had. The wagyu nigiri with sesame oil and salt - a korean's dream. Also, their nigiri rice is just 10/10. In our opinion Sushi Jin could easily be michelin starred, and will be back soon.
Very nice experience.
I love everything except the wagyu croquettes. Wagyu croquettes are too oily.

Great Service - amazing dinner!!
Read about the site in NYT and bought a reservation at Mother Wolf in LA 2 days later. Worked great and the food was amazing!!!
Worked perfectly!
Got the reservation (that I couldn't get anywhere else) and was able to entertain a group of friends at the infamous Bern's Steakhouse.
Got into Nobu Malibu
Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!
Very easy
Was very hesitant going into this experience but am glad to say that it worked out very well ! will definitely use appointment trader in the future
Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!
Great reviewer team
Just wanted to take a second to shout out the reviewer team. Even though they probably review hundreds of listings and bids a day, they still take the time to leave great comments and respond relatively quickly. Thanks!
Incredible
I got a reservation to Don Angie, which I've been trying to book for weeks! I am very happy with this service.
Best platform out there!
Super simple, easy, and fast to secure reservations for hard-to-get restaurants and locations!

Worked well, got me into a restaurant with no availability
I was skeptical, and I still don't really know how they managed to find this hard-to-find reservation, but it was a win-win from my point of view, and I'll use this service again.
Last minute reservation for Delilah Las Vegas
Got a last minute reservation, dinner for 2 at Delilah Las Vegas: super impressed! The process was simple, transaction seamless. We had an amazing time! Couldn’t be happier! 😍
It works!
Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!
Money transfer
As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.
Love this app
Got to go to places otherwise unreachable
Easy Access
Very easy to get into one of the hardest restaurants to reserve in New York.
Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
Appointment
I was waiting on the transfer for name but it hasn’t happened yet and my reservation is tonight , will it be an issue that is hasn’t changed into my name yet
Buyers interested in Bern's Steakhouse: PLEASE READ
Same goes for 4 Charles and I Sodi
Prepaid Reservation Fee
Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
Just got scammed!
Thats unfortunate but you can always get your money back if they cancel the reservation.
Congrats on 3 mil
🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🧨🧨🧨 now on to 30 mill!
Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it?
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid?
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted.
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
