My wife and I decided to give Taku Sushi for our well deserved date night. This place is a little hard to find and see from the street, but I highly recommend that you do not give up. We ordered a plethora of different rolls: spicy tuna, spicy scallop, asparagus, firecracker and spicy salmon rolls. We enjoyed all of them, but the spicy roles could have used a bit more spice in them.....regardless they were still good and very affordable.We highly recommend this place and look forward to returning soon.

I had the Taku roll, spicy crispy tuna, and sea urchin sushi. I've had good sea urchin sushi before. This tasted not so good. The taku roll lacked flavor. Just blah. On top of that, there was no eel on my roll. Or it was such a small amount I couldn't taste it. The best part of the spicy crispy tuna was the jalapenos. I ate a quarter the roll and just stopped. I hate wasting food but I just couldn't eat anymore of it. I left the restaurant thinking I don't want to eat sushi for a long time. It was that bad. Hate to write a bad review but its an honest one.

Excellent miso, sushi/sashimi on point. Only reason I placed four stars and not five - they have 3 tvs that are all set to YouTube or something like images of Asian cities. Maybe get cable? I would give five stars. I know that sounds obnoxious, but the food is great, my companions are fun, but we end up looking at our phones for score updates etc. we end up at varsity inn across the parking lot after we get our fill of fish! Also on Sunday's when land of Sushi is closed until 3p, Taku is open.

Recently gave this place a try as our normal sushi spot increased prices beyond what we were willing to pay. We have only done takeout so far but we are really impressed with the quality! We had actually given up eating the eel at our last place because the quality was so bad every time we ordered it. The eel here is delicious and tastes fresh. We also love their "Sandwich" specialty roll. They are very friendly with reasonable prices so we will definitely be back for in person dining! They do a lunch time bento box special that I am really excited to try. Pro tip if you are trying to save money, calling in your order seems to be cheaper than placing online. Prices are higher online and there is a fee. We've ordered on the phone and it's very easy. Definitely recommend giving this place a try!

Came here for lunch the first of the year in 2023 for a lunch meeting. They weren't super busy which allowed us to sit immediately (they have a sushi bar & tables).The server was super kind and prompt with service. We ordered a specialty salmon roll (which was fantastic), a salmon sushi menu item and a cappuccino. All items had great tasty flavors and were so fresh. Great experience and highly recommend!

Taku is such a great little spot even though it doesn't look like much on the outside and is located in a small strip mall. The sushi however is worth it! The fish is always fresh (with blue fish being flown in ever few days) and the roll variety is excellent. I highly recommend the Godzilla and heart attack rolls. More important the service has been incredible. One of our favorite waitresses (who is sadly leaving soon) has treated us with such kindness and remembered us ever time we came in! Everyone works incredibly hard but also has a great time while doing it. If you are ever in South Denver - definitely check it out!

They don’t seem to work on to go or delivery orders until all in-restaurant orders are done. If you aren’t eating in the restaurant, expect to wait 20-40 minutes longer than they tell you.

I read good reviews from Yelp so went there to get Chirashi to go requesting only salmon and yellowtail with additional charge. They didn't check the order and I ended up with salmon only. I decided to give them another chance and ordered the same thing. Waitress was kind enough to waive the extra charge this time. However, both salmon and yellowtail are from left over pieces, all small and thin. Maybe they don't feel the need to have good presentation with regular pieces like the ones dined in. I will not go there for the 3rd time.

First time trying Taku Sushi and WOW! This was really great food. We ordered to-go, so I can't comment on the service, other than our order was ready when we asked to pick it up and the woman at the register was super friendly. The photos already posted of the interior do it justice. It is very clean and inviting inside with a nice bar area and setup.We ordered the sushi for two and a couple of spicy scallop hand rolls. All of the nigiri was very fresh and cut in perfect portions. My pictures probably don't convey how generous the cuts were, but they were amazing! The rolls were excellent and very flavorful. This may be strange, but I judge a sushi restaurant by their hand rolls. If they are stingy with their fish, the handroll will be mostly rice or some filler. The hand rolls here had scallops throughout and were delicious! Prices were very consistent with most sushi restaurants in town. We have been long time customers of a sushi restaurant a few blocks down the road, but are now converts to Taku Sushi for sure. This place is the bomb!

Went here with a friend of mine and got dumplings, seaweed salad, and two rolls. Got the shrimp tempura and assorted fish rolls, which I thought were amazing, loved the spicy mayo as well! Both rolls were presented very elegantly and were so delicious. Didn't break my wallet either, only spent about $20 each for some high quality sushi!! The boats looked so fun and I will definitely be back to try one of those. Friendly staff and overall great environment!

What a great little sushi spot! My husband loves sushi but I personally have always struggled to find one I like. I found multiple here!! The crazy tuna roll is delicious and my favorite sushi I've ever had. We also got the crunchy spicy tuna roll and black angel roll. My husband loved the black angel roll, so much flavor. The agedashi tofu has the lightest crisp and so soft inside. The karaage chicken was nice and crunchy with a spicy mayo, a much bigger portion than I thought it would be. A beautiful interior and a fun Japanese vibe. Started getting busy on a Saturday night dinner. Highly recommend!

I've been fortunate to eat at many of the best sushi places in big cities, but Taku has some of the most creative and delicious sushi I've had the pleasure of trying. 2 things stood out to me: (1) I always ask what's good / fresh when I walk into a place. It drives me crazy when I hear things like "Oh it's all good." I've been into Taku 4 times now and the sushi chefs have steered me in different directions each time. They take the time / effort to actually think about that. (2) I'm a big fan of Uni, and they have some of the most creative uses I've ever seen. I typically order it with quail egg, but I make it a point to order their "Uni town" every time (toro, scallop, Uni, and caviar). It may be the single most decadent and delicious thing I've ever had. They've got all the basics down (good cure on saba, very generous portions). The rolls are creative and tasty if you're into that side of things - definitely not the same old, same old. Do yourself a favor and don't order the "safe stuff" you could just as soon find in a supermarket. The sake menu is okay - good selections but limited. Kitchen is fine for things like katsu / udon, but this is a sushi place first and foremost. This place is legit. Do everyone a service, keep their place packed and in business. It's a real diamond despite what you'd expect based on unassuming location / storefront.

The rolls are more on the pricey side from what I'm used to but this has been one of the better sushi places I have been to so far. The flavors were good on both however I feel like they could use something crunchy (like tempura flakes) since they're a little too much on the soft side in my opinion. I would definitely recommend and try this place again though!

Servers are wonderful. Food is good but hardly ever hot. Always comes out lukewarm. But, for God's sake, please, turn down the music. The servers are having to compete with it by talking really loud and you can't have a decent conversation at the table. Then everyone is yelling across the table and the whole decibel level is at maximum annoyance. So much for a relaxing breakfast.

Fish that I had was not fresh. Lacked flavor and firmness. The display was unique with plastic pieces though. Service was okay. Atmosphere and energy was a bit lacking. May check it out again in the future, but at least the mystery of not knowing what it is like is gone. I now know, I unfortunately wasn't missing much.

Visited for first time. Surprised by the amount of food they served. I had the Blueberry Pancake, which was delicious, served with butter and syrup. My spouse had the Breakfast Burrito. It was huge but I did not care for the green chili sauce they put on it. Our daughter had Eggs Benedict, believe they call it Ham Benny. She was very happy with her selection.

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

Best Answer It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

Best Answer Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

Best Answer Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Best Answer Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

What happens if my bid expires unanswered?

Best Answer Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
