I've heard lovely things from others about this place and we were lucky enough to be given a Secret Santa gift card to this restaurant. A bit posh, a bit seemingly dated, however pleasant in decor. There's wheelchair accessibility for those who need it: getting through double doors and a ground floor designated rest room. (wash room in the UK).The food stood up to the buzz.A varied menu of what seems to be from the tried and and true peppered along with some tempting curiosities.I had the tempura prawn and squid appetizer which was lovely. Freshly fried with a hint of cilantro I believe. It was seasoned to perfection. For the main course I had The Chicken Milanese.A filet with a curiously tasty sauce along with some of the best (chips) fries I've had. Just crunchy enough. Just the right amount of salt and oh so morish. For pudding (Dessert) I had the blackberry sundae with a shortbread cookie , fresh blackberries and a delicious sauce served on the side to pour on as you please. And of course with a cappuccino.Dudes, I was full!!! I enjoyed the evening. The service was impeccable. The staff: friendly and courteous.Definitely check this place out.Great for a date or a family get together.I would suggest that for a small family or more one should certainly make reservations.Cheers! And well done "The Ivy"!
