$600+ for a party of two, with two glasses of white wine and a modest bottle of red, plus tax and tip, The Uber was another $30. Not that the meals are about money; they're not. But for $600+, it should be pretty xxxxing amazing. Instead, we left feeling amazingly xxxxed. We began with an amuse bouche. Hardly extraordinary. In fact, kind of pedestrian. And each of the four courses thereafter, just so-so. For the money charged -- $150 for four courses -- you'd expect something memorable. None of its was, and some of it, just not even average. The service was great, but the rhapsodizing about this and that just did not match the taste of this or that. Frankly, I would far prefer that in-your-face Italian one finds at a local red sauce joint, because it tastes great. In many cases, better -- far better -- than what we got here. Sure: Beautifully prepared and served, but the food was nowhere near worth it, and the vino mark-up results in GREAT sense being made by eating at a local, for chicken Marsala with a side salad, a bottle of good Chianti, an No. The food here was not beyond my taste buds; I've been to any number of highest-end restos where the tab was about the same. Sorry, but, in my judgment, what we got here was just plain not even close to being worth it.
