Great night with friends!
Great place to meet friends! The atmosphere is upscale, yet relaxed. The food is amazing and the drinks are absolutely fabulous . We visited here because of the unmeasurable reputation that Billy has in welcoming his guests, and the knowledge he has of what Wally’s has to offer! Cannot wait to return!
Be the first to ReplyA Wine Bar that won’t let you order Wine only?
We were visiting from out of town with our in town friends, and decided to meet at Wally's for drinks before dinner. We were having Italian later that evening so we thought, why not go to a wine bar beforehand? Upon entering, the unfriendly hostess asked us if we were eating dinner. When we said no - we were just having wine, she told us that tables were reserved for dinner guests only but that we could sit anywhere in the bar area. We sat in (what we thought to be) the back of the bar, because there were no guests in that area, and there were multiple available seats and tables. After sitting there for a few minutes, a waitress came over and apologetically asked us to move to the front of the bar area because THAT was where we were allowed to sit if we were only have drinks. Confused but understanding, we moved to the front area and sat down at a table next to the bar. There was another couple siting adjacent to us who were only having drinks. As soon as we sat down, another person, this time a male waiter, came over and told us that we again were in the wrong area - and that the only acceptable area for us to sit in was at the actual bar itself! He told us we would be expected to move from those seats as soon as the unfriendly hostess needed to seat dinner guests there. He did not mention this to the other couple at the table. Two minutes later, the unfriendly hostess decided to seat a party where we were sitting, even though there were multiple available seats and tables throughout the restaurant. We got up, and we're unable to order drinks since the bar was full. At this point, our friends had gotten there and tried to get us table but the unfriendly hostess would not budge on the "tables are for dinner guests only." We left and went to Porta Via across the street and were able to sit outside and just order wine. It's astounding to me that Wally's, a wine bar, has such a strict policy to only seat guests who want to dine in for food. I didn't appreciate the unfriendly hostess up front, and being asked to move twice by 2 other employees. If you are ONLY allowing guests to order drinks at the actual bar - SAY THAT. Telling folks they can sit "anywhere in the bar area" is subjective and unclear. We will not be going back here after being treated with such a snooty attitude.
Be the first to ReplyFood great. Didn’t appreciate the fraud
I just recently took a trip to LA with some friends for a great weekend away. I also have a great deal of relatives who live there as well. We chose to connect at Wally’s for lunch. The service was slow but the food was good. What is disappointing is that we split the bill, but I got 3 separate charges from them on my credit card that totalled $400+ for one person Be careful, looks like they are comfortable with de-frauding their customers Really sad for an experience

Nice Italian restaurant in Beverly Hills, specious with beautiful setup, indoor and outdoor seating. The taste of food from good to excellent, nice presentation, v. good service. High prices. Highly recommended
Be the first to ReplyOverrated, overpriced and overcrowded with terrible service.
Most people just want to be seen and say I have been to Wally's in Beverly Hills. I had to wait for a drink where the bartender was flirting with women and having shots with them and acting as if he could not see me. After drink I tried to give him my credit card and the same thing I was ignored, later he comes over to me and at my table and tells me that he will have me kicked out if I tried not to pay. After I paid him I noticed that he had charged me twice for one drink. Left a message for the manager to call me......I am still waiting.
Be the first to ReplyWine, charcuterie, and cheese selection was amazing
I really enjoyed this place. The vibe was mellow and the decoration with all their wine bottles was amazing. The baked Brie was delicious. I was amazed by the selection of wine, charcuterie, and cheese. The mains were lacking a bit though. The lentils were good but nothing special. The pasta was lacking a bit of flavor. The burger was good but I was expecting more. The service was great though. I really enjoyed but I would definitely try different mains next time or just go for wine, charcuterie, and cheese.

The worth place, they don't care about customers.
For them customers are not important. The host has an attitude and lies to the manager about customers and discriminates between customers.
Over the top.
The ambience was impressive with wines to the ceiling. We were with a group of 12 people. The chef made several varieties for charcuterie, salad and main entrees. The servings were generous and delicious with lots of truffle throughout the meal. We were served family style and got to taste all the dishes.
The sommelier was friendly and knowledgeable and we all
enjoyed ourselves.
Rude staff
Don’t bother! Great looking place, but front of house/hostesses are snobby and condescending.. walked right out after how they spoke to us..
Be the first to ReplyAn evening ruined by a place that has lost its direction totally in the last few years
A few years ago this was a great place, and I went back upon recommendation of a friend who used to go all the time. But the front-end reception is nothing short of shameful now. It’s almost like they’re playing a game. First the wait is sixty minutes. Then twenty more. Then ten more. Then the worst table they can find with a broken leg. You tell the “hostess” (who really should be replaced with a QR and a turnstile) and she just sends you out again to wait.
Completely ruined a night I looked forward to since I told my friend what a great place Wally’s used to be.
Finally by the time we gave up everything was closed.
Very disappointing when an otherwise good place gets ruined by horrendously bad customer facing staff.

ABSOLUTELY STUNNING WINE STORE and restaurant
We dined here amidst the throws of covid-19 in November 2020. Although we ate outside, we did feel that the tables were a little too close together. Service was quite slow, but my salad and pizza were delicious. What impressed us was the interior of the wine store... WOW! It is like an old world library of wines! Must stop here for wine and cheese. It is a treat for the eyes!!!
Be the first to ReplyAlways A Decadent Experience!
Wallys is an absolute Beverly Hills gem. We've never been disappointed.
If you love wine this is a MUST-GO-TO venue in Los Angeles. The atmosphere is just fantastic surrounded by thousands of wine bottles and delicacies. This is the best place to enjoy a cheese and charcuterie board while indulging in an exquisite glass of Krug Grande Cuvée 167 Edition. As a French citizen I immensely appreciate the whole experience: the service is exceptional and the food is to-die-for. One of the reasons why we keep coming back is Damien - their bartender extraordinaire. He makes the whole dinning affair a perfect 10. Great personality, utmost professionalism and very personable as well as knowledgeable.
The manager (I unfortunately forgot his manager) is also very attentive and caring. We went for lunch a few weeks ago for our anniversary and when he found out he offered us the dessert. That extra touch and attention that makes a BIG difference. We really appreciated it.
This is hands down on of our favorite restaurant in LA.
