if I could give this a -5 stars I would I've been going to the one in Miami for many years and it is fantastic and I expected the same here but the entire experience was awful and the service was absolutely terrible. They messed up my reservation. The food was bad and it was expensive I don't recommend this place at all.
Be the first to ReplyZuma is an incredible restaurant first of all the
Zuma is an incredible restaurant first of all the atmosphere of this restaurant is out of this world. It has a very elegant feeling to it. The lighting is perfect and it really helps set the mood for when you're about to eat. the food itself is incredible you could tell it's very high-quality very fresh and that they hire a very professional team of chefs for what they're making, what's funny is me and my girlfriend went here on a date and when we were reading the menu and in the restaurant we were thinking like oh this is just going to be like Nobu and honestly we didn't even like Nobu. We thought Nobu was overpriced and not that good however, this place blew it out of the water and was such an exceptional restaurant. We would come back here again the staff is incredibly nice. The serving sizes are just right the dessert is out of this world. This restaurant had one of the best desserts I've ever had. I love this place. It was amazing.

Oh ZUMA!!! Absolutely love ZUMA The atmosphere is fun and inviting The food is amazing The service is good The prices are pricey but worth it Great for dinner with friends or date night. Keep the kiddos at home (doesn't seem kid friendly)
Be the first to ReplyI suppose if what are you going for is overpriced mediocre
I suppose if what are you going for is overpriced mediocre Asian food then this is your place. It's not awful but also it's not worth the price tags it comes along. we came here as a recommendation from a friend and understanding it's one of those higher end Asian fusion food places we all came in skeptical. The decorations were modern and sophisticated, clean and not to dim. The service was great, everyone was really nice and helpful. food wise I would say it's meh, not amazing and not mind blowing but nothing I have to complain greatly about. Calamari- crispy and hot, salty savory and the perfect bite as an appetizer Trigger shrimp tempura - honestly I have no idea what in the world is this dish but I can tell you it is NOT tiger shrimp. I can get this at a grocery store and toss it in the airfryer. these are definitely not tiger shrimps considering how tiny they are! What a disgrace Sushi rolls (spicy tuna and shrimp tempura maki)- spicy tuna was fresh and not too much of a kick. I was hoping it'll be a bit spicer but it was decent. there was no fishy aftertaste so I can tell the sashimi is a good quality. the shrimp tempura on the other hand, i nearly gasped after tasting carrots in my maki. what in the westernized is this !? again, another minus. skirt steak- probably the only thing I can honestly compliment fully with no complaints. cooked perfectly, medium rare , seasoned well and the chutney it came with complimented the meat well. delicious and juicy! lava cake- we got this as a decadent treat. didn't realize it was going to be that much! the ice cream was a great paring to the sweet chocolate dessert. but I personally thought it wasn't enough cake and too much liquid chocolate. Overall I wouldn't return, it was more of a one time visit for the sake of it. but there was other much better high end restaurants to go to for your Asian fix. not worth the time if you're looking for an amazing recommendation

A place to experience it all with whoever you want-- great night, guaranteed. I was here with my parents, boyfriend, and siblings (youngest was 10 yrs old) and we all had a wonderful time. My boyfriend and I arrived early and had delicious & well- mixed cocktails at the upstairs bar before being sat with the rest of the party upon their arrival. As a large party of 7, we all sat very comfortably around a round table and could share in all the deliciousness the menu had to offer. Our server was wonderful and recommended some great "off-menu" dishes. He was very attentive and made sure we were able to taste the entire array of dishes they offered in our order. Whether you wanted amazing quality sushi or fun modern cuisine -- Zuma could do it all. The ambiance was so comfortable, yet very upscale. Would recommend this to anyone!
Be the first to ReplyI went with my job for a private dinner.
Food - was great. I loved how they served it family style. Made it a different experience. Everything tasted amazing and was cooked to perfection. The tray that they brought out for the desserts was huge! And filled with or sorts of stuff! Really really good. Ambiance - loud, fun, hip The upstairs is all private rooms for dining. Ive never seen so many private rooms before at one restaurant. Service was ok. But again I was at a private dinner so the staff seemed very formal and uptight. I would definitely go back on my own time to experience the restaurant on the main floor.

Zuma restaurant presents an aesthetic oasis, boasting a beautiful ambience that's sure to captivate diners. Upon entering, one is greeted by a sophisticated atmosphere that promises an indulgent experience. The cocktails at Zuma are undeniably stellar, crafted with precision and offering a delightful array of flavors to tantalize the palate. Whether it's a classic cocktail or a unique concoction, each sip is a journey of taste and sophistication. However, despite these highlights, Zuma falls short in terms of service and food quality. The service, unfortunately, suffers from sluggishness, with orders taking longer than expected and dishes arriving out of sequence. Good luck with ordering second round of drinks! Additionally, several dishes were served cold, detracting from the overall dining experience. Zuma is best recommended for patrons seeking a place to enjoy exceptional drinks, at the bar preferably, and soak in the enchanting ambiance. While the cuisine may not consistently meet expectations due the slow and unprofessional service, the allure of Zuma's atmosphere and beverage selection make it a worthwhile destination for those prioritizing aesthetics and libations over culinary perfection.
Be the first to ReplyThe restaurant was nice, the service was good.
I did not like the sushi at all. The dessert was my favorite part of our meal.
Be the first to ReplyService was great, food was just a little above average.
I got the chefs pick of sushi as a starter (3 pieces) and had the salmon as my entree. Sushi was okay nothing special. The salmon was good and so were the little pickled cucumbers on the side.

Fantastic dining experience and dare I say, probably my first choice for a place to grab a drink if I want to have a fancy night out (you need to check out the lounge on the second floor - top notch). We came for a birthday and we were not disappointed one bit. I love the food here. Appetizers are great - rock shrimp was fantastic but the spicy tuna on the rice cracker was the best thing I ate that night. It was crispy, light and worked perfectly with the spicy tuna. Sushi here was also fresh and well done. The family also got a steak for the table to share which again got top marks across the table. The service here is fantastic. There isn't much else to say other than it was superb and commensurate for a restaurant of this level. This place is definitely a splurge - prices are what you expect for a high end restaurant so don't get sticker shock. Last note, if you're bringing a cake from outside, ingredients need to be on the box (or it's a no go) and the cake cutting fee is $9 a head. Thumbs up, had a great time.

Such a luxurious, posh restaurant! Zuma is the perfect place for date night or a girls night out. We came here on a Friday night and it was extremely lively with a dj which was a nice surprise. All the sushi was amazing of course as well as our dinner. SN:It is a bit on the pricey side. I'm not sure what's better the ambiance or the food; either way it's a must try!

Amazing service, delicious food!! This restaurant is gorgeous and a beautiful escape from the city. You absolutely must try the rock shrimp and the milk chocolate tejina! Carlos was amazing, loved our experience here.
Be the first to ReplyI never write bad reviews but I recently visited Zuma for
I never write bad reviews but I recently visited Zuma for lunch and was treated so poorly I won't even attend corporate events at the establishment anymore. The company I work for often patronizes upscale restaurants in the city (including Zuma) but after my experience, I will, to the extent that I can, discourage them from doing so going forward. I met met S.O. for lunch on Tuesday Feb. 21 for a what I thought would be a nice lunch (I remember the date because it was my birthday). I was greeted and directed to my seat where she was waiting, we ordered and then things went downhill. One of our items did not come out with the rest of the meal. We couldn't tell anyone this because our waiter disappeared, never to be seen again. We flagged someone down to let them know we were missing an item. Turns out it was never put in so it was added at that moment. The person who added our additional item was frankly rude and seemed to be annoyed that we were even bringing it up. When it was time for the check, we had to actually stand up in order to find someone to bring us the check. When they finally took the card, it seemed their POS system was having issued, which took quite some time to work through. I had to assume all of this by the way they were casually moving from one terminal to another because no one bothered to explain it to us, apologize or even offer any explanation. They eventually processed the payment and brought us the receipt without as much as a sorry or a thank you. We were made to feel like we were unwelcome in the establishment and they were waiting for us to leave. Duly noted. Won't ever have to worry about me or any person or organization I'm connected to patronizing your establishment again.
Be the first to ReplyGood food, I loved the chocolate volcano.
Algunos meseros hablan español. EL AMBIENTE ES TRANQUILO

The food is divine! Service is efficient. I totally recommend it!

I had the pleasure of dining here for a quick lunch during the week. I'll start off by saying I was server was very helpful and attentive. I appreciate the fact that they have structured the menu in a way that distinguishes a fast lunch during a work or a leisurely lunch.Started with the ishi ebi no tempura piri kara tofu with is rock shrimp with chili tofu. Very tasty. I opted to order sushi as opposed to one of the lunch prefixes. I ordered the pirikara maguro maki which is a spicy tuna roll with green chili, spicy mayo and a California roll. The fish was fresh, and rolls were enjoyable. I'll come come back for dinner and try other entrees

Booked a table 2 weeks in advance and they sat us at a long table with other people, facing a wall. Asked for another table because I was upset I booked 2 weeks in advance and that's what they gave us. Then moved us to a table next to a staff closet and the cash registers. Light on the table was falling apart, music was loud club music, felt really trashy and cheap. Food was good and good quality, but we were paying for the ambience and absolutely did not get that. Awful experience, never going back. Don't waste your money. Spent close over $300 for a few small plates.
Be the first to ReplyI signed a contract for a private event to be held at Zuma
I signed a contract for a private event to be held at Zuma NYC on 2/4/23 for a total of $6000 with the knowledge it can go over the amount and the additional payment can be made the night of the event. On the night in question my event was cut an hour short of the contract time, my guest and I were rushed out, the receipt received did not reflect my initial deposit or payments made, I was charged for items neither ordered or consumed. I was forced to pay a total of $12,000 and payment was made in cash and credit card, they gave a receipt for the credit card but never submitted one for the cash payment of $5600. Almost a week later on 2/10/23 I reached out to the manager Kelly whom my contract was created with and was then advised we were overbilled and would receive a refund (amount or reason was never given). After conversing with her I reviewed my receipt only to realize the receipt had a time of 5pm when my event was scheduled for 9:30pm to 1:30am which clearly confirms this was not my receipt and it was incorrect. Upon recognizing this I went to ZUMA NYC to try and rectify the mistake as well as retrieve a corrected receipt and was met by my host of the evening Noir and security who escorted me out with no explanation or assistance. I've contacted them numerous times and have even corresponded with the East Coast Director of Operations Teddie who stated the cash was seen counted on camera and I would receive a corrected receipt however she has been of no help in correcting the receipt or rectifying the overcharge. The manager Kelly, the host Noir, and the DO Teddie have all refused to give corporate's information for me to reach out and file a complaint. I have my original contract, the one they revised after the event and my conversation with the DO, all correspondence leading up to the day of the event and after, the confirmation of all payments made via cc that total over the contract amount. In total I was overcharged $10,000 and look to be reimbursed as well as receive additional for the ruining of my event as well as the pain, suffering, and frustration that I am still being forced to deal with for the past 3 weeks with no response, resolution, or accountability of Zuma NYC or their employees.I was one of the attendees of the event ans I felt it was discrimination. I felt embarrassed the way the security came and approached. I have called and left messages for Kelly and received no call back, my number is 347-835-1991 so if corporate sees this maybe they will call back since the staff will not provide information. My family still trying to reach corporate to no avail. I am personally seeking legal action against Zuma for discrimination. My sons fiancé signed a contract, contract straws no cash over 3000.00 accepted and the staff took 6000.00 in cash, this is recorded and notarized statements have been receivrd from all parties who paid cash; Zuma also has cameras so they can see when the cash was given Noir provided no cash receipt.

I decided to throw my Fiancé a surprise birthday dinner at Zuma NY on 2/4/23 and it ended up being a complete disaster. After paying my deposits. I was overcharged and Zuma has yet to rectify my concerns. My receipt displays items that me nor my guests purchased !!! When I tried to reasonably speak to a staff member named Noir she decided to bring security and escort me out instead of speaking to me about my funds !!! This place is a disgrace and in my opinion Noir should not be in a customer service role. She was extremely rude to both me and my guests. I wouldn't suggest investing in this space because I ended up paying over 12k and never was compensated for their errors. Instead they keep ignoring me and not rectifying this issue. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau so other individuals don't experience what I have experienced !!! Diner Beware !!!

Be the first to ReplyI went to Zuma on Monday (8/1).
I'm a regular. My reservation was at 7:45 I wasn't seated until 9pm. I was seated at a table behind the bar upstairs even with having a reservation. After being seated I waited around another hour where nobody came to take my order. I had to ask for servers twice and then a manager. At this point I had been there two and a half hours before someone took my order. While eating on the second floor I saw a RAT run across the middle of the floor. At the end of dinner it was over three hours and the server had the nerve to bring me my bill in full offering nothing until I complained. I will not be back and don't recommend, yes a RAT ran across the floor.

Terrible service, we had a private dining experience and tried to add on extra items but after an hour of waiting, our waitress (and I'm being generous here, given she was extremely rude and unprofessional) told us the items were sold out and they had to kick us out of our private dining room. Food was meh given there's tons of places out in the city that will gladly let us order extra food. Worst of all was they poured out the wine we didn't finish cause we had "passed our service time". We had to go to Mulligan's across the street as we were all still hungry.

Zuma is such a fun place! We love to visit late night because it's such a classy place with a club vibe! Always busy and always amazing food and service!
Be the first to ReplyWorst Zuma experience ever.
And this is comparing to Boston, London, Istanbul, and Dubai. We showed up, party of six, and as we get to our table someone was already there. The hostess then disappeared on us for 15 minutes. I had to find her to then get seated at what was a table for four!! Every other table this size was for four. Horrible. It was so crowded we didn't have place on the table for our food and drinks. Then the service took forever, water was never served, just downhill. Finally, the food itself. Sushi was falling apart. The black cod was chewy instead of melting in your mouth. This was the worst $600 meal I've had in my life. Complete waste of money!

Okay my friend has been a few times usually when I'm in this area it's early or I'm on the run so it was great to finally try. It's a very sexy popular spot even when you don't have a reservation bar (not the name ) which equally has decent foot traffic and folk eating. The cocktails were divine and the tapas was righteous and hit the spot (we had the shishito peppers and calamari) perfection all around.A night back for dinner is in order.
