I have loved Foretti's 8-9 times, but on Saturday of 4th of
I have loved Foretti's 8-9 times, but on Saturday of 4th of July weekend we received an order that made us sick. Violently sick. We ordered through doordash (allow grubhub, DD is awful, SEAL THE BAG) we received healthy salmon pasta and a side of mushrooms and potato's. My wife and I split everything -- it tasted heavy with white pepper and a intense bitterness that made us think of unwashed arugala, we finished about 1/3rd if the serving before giving up it was just too nasty tasting. A few mushrooms that also coated our tounges in a weird tingly feeling. 2 hours later, we were violently ill. Both throwing up. Both with cramps for the next 12 hours. I can't imagine what they did to this food but on 4th of July weekend cooks are slammed and stressed but Foretti's was the ONE store we agree'd might still make food right on a busy holiday weekend. We took a chance but we never expected to be poisoned. Never again.

Their watermelon salad is always a staple when I come here!! Their pasta and pizzas never disappoint.

Service, ambiance, and food. Tbh the service was bad but I don't believe it's enough to give 2 stars. In terms of food, the calamari was good and so was the orrechiette sausage pasta. We went a few months ago but this review is long overdue. Hostesses were lovely but the waiter felt the need to correct our pronunciation of EVERY dish. I get it if we were purposefully trying to pronounce each dish as properly as possible and got it wrong, but it's very strange to correct each patron as they order and have done nothing to prompt the sassiness. And this was on top of being neglected the entire night. We were also placed by the windows and asked to crack them because they had cranked the heat so high the windows were fogging and we were all hot. When we asked politely because we were hot, they flat out said no because it was cold outside? We won't be coming back and tbh I wouldn't ever recommend this place to anyone else. Which is such a disappointment because it's nice to have multiple local options in CDM. Honestly, if the food was delicious we might just put up with the servers rude behavior, but since the food wasn't even good we don't feel the need to do that.

We were looking at Yelp after attending an afternoon get-together at Crystal Cove and decided to try them. We were warmly greeted and then seated quickly in the open air section. We enjoyed the ambiance and the music was nice but not too loud. Roberto was our server and he was terrific. We told him we were new and he shared with us some of his favorite dishes. We had the short rib pasta and the healthy salmon pasta. Both had a lot of flavor! We also loved the bread and the pesto & EVO for dipping. Yum! Between our terrific server, the ambiance and the food, we'll definitely return.

Our server was not only knowledgeable and attentive but also passionate about the menu. The owner, Thad, sat down and chatted for over a half hour about how he opened the place and how good it has been doing ever since. Foretti's is a versatile destination, perfect for a romantic dinner, a family gathering, or a special celebration. It's a true celebration of Italian cuisine and hospitality. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking an authentic and unforgettable Italian dining experience.

This place uses organic ingredients and EVOO- such a win and I appreciate that so much. My son asks for their meatballs weekly. We haven't really gotten a dish we don't like yet. Better at the restaurant of course, but we order it through door dash a lot and it comes super fast.
It was ok.
Out of 7 things, two things were better. The gnocchi brown butter was nice. A little too wet but tasty. The halibut was down right boring. Pizza was floppy. Other stuff was ok. Just wasn't memorable. We sat in the outside tent which was ok. The servers were great. Just the food was dull. It has a huge menu so maybe we just didn't get the right stuff.

Phenomenal food, always fresh, and best value in Newport and CDM for your dollar. The owner always makes you feel special. Definitely our go-to when we're in the area. My personal favorite is the Puttanesca.

To start I got the combination of prosciutto, arugula, and Parmesan was a symphony of flavors. For dinner, I indulged in the fresh pasta creation. The pasta was coated in a zesty lemon sauce, punctuated by the peppery notes of arugula. A let's not forget the succulent shrimp. The entire meal and service was nothing short of extraordinary. The ambiance, the attentive service, and the artistry on each plate--weaved together to create an unforgettable dining experience.

Disappointing Experience and Unfair Treatment at Foretti's Italian Restaurant in Corona Del Mar I am compelled to share my disappointing experience at Foretti's Italian Restaurant in Corona Del Mar, a place where unfair treatment and misjudgment overshadowed what should have been a pleasant dining experience. My friend and I, looking forward to a special evening, reserved a high top table via Open Table, only to be told upon our arrival that our table was reserved for regulars--a practice we found both surprising and unwelcoming. The hostess, Jade, informed us that our reserved table was unavailable because it was allegedly reserved for a couple, Jeff Parker and his wife, who were not even present. We tried to discuss this politely with the staff, but were met with indifference and a rigid adherence to a policy that favored absent regulars over present, ready-to-dine guests. This favoritism and the staff's unprofessional demeanor ruined our evening, making us feel undervalued and mistreated. It's bewildering to be told that an empty table, reserved based on a hypothetical scenario, takes precedence over actual guests eager to enjoy their dining experience. Furthermore, the owner's accusation that my friend yelled at the staff is baseless and offensive. We were nothing but respectful in expressing our dissatisfaction, and to be portrayed as disruptive is not only false but also defamatory. The owner's response to our concerns was dismissive and poorly articulated, further demonstrating a lack of respect and professionalism. I am disheartened by the way we were treated and the owner's attempt to discredit us publicly. It's clear that Foretti's values certain customers over others, a policy that we find unjust and inhospitable. We will not be returning and advise others to consider how this establishment values its patrons before deciding to dine here. The experience and the subsequent false accusations have been deeply upsetting. We encourage others to support restaurants that treat all customers with the respect and fairness they deserve. -Ronni
Picked up some ravioli and pizza take out.
The food was delicious. I love the butternut squash ravioli. The dish was sweeter than I expected but very good. Loved the pizza. The dough and crust were really great. Loved the San marzano tomato sauce.

Started with the Super Food Salad ( a little overpriced in my opinion) Ordered fettuccine Alfredo with chicken, made with their home made pasta. I have to say the sauce was bland, needed more flavor. My husband ordered the Healthy Salmon pasta, that was very tasty Service is good and fast, Monica our serves was great Cozy ambiance, great for date nights. There is an attached patio area for outdoor dining.

The owner, Thad is one of the best in the hospitality business. Pretty much anything on the menu is amazing. They have a numbered Napolitano pizza oven, so their pizza is legit. Very popular with locals. Great energy and atmosphere.

First impressions seem to carry a lot of weight and speaking of this we were not impressed. I could not tell you how the food or ambiance was because we left. The hostess seemed distracted, her conversation with another female employee seemed more interesting than myself and another couple waiting to be acknowledged. Parking was a nightmare. Again, it took more than five minutes to be acknowledged so that we can be directed to the parking lot down the street. Very disappointed, being from out of state we were hoping for a wonderful dinner, did not happen here.

Having moved to this area a little over a year ago, my wife and I have made an effort to try a lot of different restaurants to find ones we like. Last night we went to Foretti's for the second time and were as delighted as we were the first time. We loved each and every dish we tried. Eggplant Parmesan, Caesar Salad, Pizza and the various deserts were all Fabulous. We didn't try any of their pastas yet, but in looking at what other guests were eating and their reactions I would assume they were also wonderful. I MUST GIVE SPECIAL RECOGNITION TO THE WHOLE BRANZINO (SEA BASS) BAKED IN SALT. This is a dish that we have had many times in a Seafood restaurant on the east coast in France . Last night the fish was absolutely delicious. The restaurant is very pretty with an open kitchen and two different patio areas. Our waitress Monica was delightful and very efficient. We will return many times in the future.

My family and I had the pleasure of dining at this incredible restaurant! Our food was served within 10 minutes of ordering- there were 4 adults and a child. I had the baked ziti and everyone else enjoyed their meals. I tried some of my friend's butternut squash raviolis with browned butter sage. It was the best thing I had ever tasted. My baked ziti was good as well. The meat was perfectly cooked and the sauce was delicious. For dessert we indulged in their seriously delectable salted caramel gelato. The gelato had perfect flavor and was topped with black lava salt and caramel! Double thumbs up from me. I absolutely recommend this lovely restaurant to anyone who likes authentic Italian food.

Was able to be seated right away and staff was extremely friendly. Ambiance of restaurant is elegant, inviting, and warm. You can see the kitchen from where we were seated. So many options between appetizers, pasta, pizza, and more! I got the Orecchiette cause i wanted to try something different. Absolutely delicious! Offered complimentary bread with pesto sauce. Pasta was delicate and soft!

Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!

I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.

It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??

Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
