I have a chance to come here for the Taylor's Era! The staffs are super friendly! The food is handmade and we can see them make the dumpling while enjoying the food. The price is affordable. This is one of the Chinese place you must try! Highly recommend the sweet and sour rib, shiao long bao and the ox tongue!

The best dim sum I've had outside of San Francisco!. Restaurant is small so I was glad we called ahead for a reservation. Still waited about 20 minutes for a table for four but it gave us priority over the line of walk-up people -- plus they let you fill out your order in advance, so dishes start to arrive as soon as you sit down. Dumplings are definitely the stars but the noodle dishes and soups were excellent too. We way over-ordered and took the leftovers home, so we ended up with two meals at a very reasonable price.

The clear window to watch the ladies make the dumplings is really awesome and gives you insight into how much detail goes into making a dumpling! We ordered crab wonton, spicy chili wonton and ribs, menu is a bit limited, but the food does not lack flavor and the service is impeccable. They are quick and ready to serve you! The jasmine, green tea is delicious! Great for a Friday night out in China town!

My mother and I heard about this place from a local foodie, so we had to try it out. We decided to go on St Patrick's day figuring out that the entire dining population would go for something Irish. Upon our arrival we were greeted and immediately seated. It's not a very large restaurant, probably 6-7 tables and a "Dine at the Bar" area near the entrance. We order the Shanghai Fried Rice, the Shanghai Duck-full order, and the Dumplings. The dumplings were amazing and an order comes with 8 pieces, the fried rice was a good portion for 2, but the full order of duck was on the small side-portion. Prices are competitive for the area- Chinatown, but with so many options, I'm glad we tried it, but it doesn't rise to the come again level. Everything was good, but not over the top great. I definitely recommend

Nothing fancy, but if you're craving homemade dumplings, this is the place for you. This place has no ambiance with a small dining room in the back. You can see the cooks through the glass window into the kitchen as you enter. Food came out reasonably fast. These homemade dumplings are the best, and you can taste them here at Shanghai Taste. If they had a more engaging service staff I would have given this place an additional star.

Ever been to a restaurant, signed up to the wait-list with a 30 min estimated wait and then be told 30 min later that you won't be seated. At all!Don't know who is to blame but Shanghai Taste's outsourcing of wait-list management to Yelp is a disaster. When I inquired, restaurant staff blamed Yelp. But they need to realize the damage is all their's and not Yelp's. Either Yelp take notice and fix a faulty system or Shanghai Taste's ownership realize they are going to loose precious clientele who will aimlessly be waiting for tables that never materialize.I ended up taking my order to go. Food was ok but not something I would put myself through the waitlist hell again.

I was very excited to try out ShangHai Taste after the chef was nominated for the James Beard Best Chef award in the Southwest. Overall, ShangHai taste is a good value trek for authentic Chinese soup dumplings and hand-pulled noodles in a fast and casual eatery. It's not going to knock your socks off if you've tried Din Tai Fung, Paradise Dynasty, or Little Pan (Fried Bun). However, it's still delicious and consistent comfort food right at the heart of Chinatown where you also have endless options for other post-eating snacks and desserts in the plaza.Pros:1) Dough used for the dumplings and noodles are fresh and handmade in-store, creating a perfectly chewy texture and bite. Sheng Jien bao skin had the right thickness.2) Each dish was authentic, presented well, and served hot. 3) Service was efficient like clockwork from seating to eating to billing out.Cons:1) Xiao Long Bao skin is thicker than my preference. Din Tai Fung and Paradise Dynasty have a smoother delicate skin resulting in a better soup explosion sensation in your mouth. On the bright side, the thicker skin prevented the dumpling from breaking accidentally before you got it into your mouth.2) Texture of the pork in Sheng Jien bao and crab & pork meat in the XLB is firmer and springier than my liking. It's more like a beef ball or meat ball texture. 3) The beef in the Shanghai beef noodle soup was also tougher compared to other top beef noodle soups restaurants such as Shang, Mian or Magic Noodle. I hope they improve this, since it makes a huge difference to the overall enjoyment of the noodle soup.Tip: Add yourself to the waitlist to avoid a long wait. The restaurant is pretty cozy and small so better be safe than sorry.

It was my first time here! My friends recommended this place to me. I enjoyed their food alot. It reminded me of Din Tai Fung but cheaper. It wasn't too busy when we went. My friends and I ordered their Spicy Wonton Soup, Traditional Xiao Long Baos and their Dry Noodles with Scallion Oil and Shanghai Soy Sauce. Their Xiao Long Baos were very flavorful and their Spicy wonton soup was not too spicy. It had the perfect amount of spice. I definitely want to try their other entrees and appetizers. I'll be back again!

We were seated quickly with menu and order pad delivered instantly. Tried the soup dumplings and regular Bao pork dumplings and came out with in minutes. Texture along with mixture of chili oil and soy sauce hit the spot and checked all the boxes. Nect up was the wonton and pork soup. Smaller portions which worked out fine for us, great taste and broth was full of flavor. Great place!

We were offered bar seating for no wait. Sat there for a while before I had to waive someone down for a menu and order form. I was surprised to see that the menu was so small. The food arrived fairly quickly. We got the house fried rice with pork, 4 orders of classic xlb, a crap yolk xlb, and steamed veggie. The fried rice and veggie had no taste. The xlb was average in size and very soupy. We enjoyed them. Bar seating was entertaining, as we got up close look at xlb and dumpling wrapping.Women's restroom toilet had poor water pressure and it was dirty.

Wow...what a great little Shanghai style restaurant! We were in the mood for some soup dumplings so we knew about the popular one Dig Tai Fung but we wanted to find a smaller Mom and Pops kind of establishment. Well, what a great find! Glad we decided to check them out. The food was freshly made, tasted great and nice and hot! We tried a variety of dishes and they were all awesome! The restaurant wasn't huge abd wasn't over loaded with tables to squeeze as many people as possible. I feel it was just the right amount of tables pretty well spaced out. The establishment was very clean and confortable. The ac was working well so very comfortable while eating which is a huge deal when eating spicy food. Definitely a gem...if you wsnt to try out some great Shanghai stule foid definitely checkout ShangHai Taste!!

Delicious filling and soup. They also have excellent Shanghainese noodles but unfortunately you can't get beef, chicken, and shrimp - you have to pick one only. They need to improve on their service, they only have one server who prioritizes those who speak Mandarin or Shanghainese, and the hostess is busy dealing with the line and to-go orders.

Place looks great can't wait to try it but the rude ass girl in the front does not know how to be a hostess. We checked in on Yelp and in the restaurant and she ignored us when we walked in and sat other people. Because I different couple threw a fit behind us they sat down at our table. This is very rude. I have worked in a restaurant most of my life my family owns restaurants this is not how it should be. I asked to speak to the manager and she walked away. Just realize a Yelp check in does not guarantee that you won't be waiting and the hostess won't feel like seating people the way she wants to.

We have ordered xlb, steam veggie dumplings, spicy wontons, Shanghainese rice cake and dried fried noodles. They were all delicious. The xlb didn't come with sliced ginger but vinegar only. I asked and the waiter gave us a small dish of pure ginger. I guess they don't serve it unless the customers ask. Xlb and rice cake are highly recommended.

We came in when the restaurant was packed with diners.Their food is really good. Not salty or greasy. Our orders were literally handmade in their kitchen.This review was during our first night in Las Vegas.This second review was our last time to visit - coming from our trip in Zion National Park, Utah.They let me in 15 minutes before closing time and my family is still looking for parking.They are very accommodating. Our orders will take ten minutes to make but the kitchen will close in 5 minutes. Their kitchen crew made it for us still. Very satisfied indeed !When we come back next time, we will surely be here again. I rarely give 5% tip but this time I gave you guys more than 20% tip ! That's how happy we are for your service. This place is located at the Shanghai Plaza on Spring Mountain Road. The plaza on the weekends is very busy, with parking issues and may take a while to find parking. So DO NOT expect to find parking immediately.This is my first time here and went on a weekday for lunch. We still had to wait about 20 minutes to get a table. The place is kind of small, maybe 6 or 7 tables. We were given hot tea within 3 minutes, and our orders taken within 5 minutes.We ordered 3 of their soup dumplings, beef noodle soup, Chinese broccoli dish, onion pancake, and beef tongue.The soup dumplings were hand-prepared and were quite good. The broth inside the dumpling was tasty and seasoned well. Especially after drinking the soup and dipping the dumplings in your self-prepared sauce.The beef noodle soup was also good, beef was tender and the broth not too oily. Broth tasted good.The beef tongue with cucumber tasted really good, the onion pancake was also tasty, veggies were veggies...Overall, was a good experience with the prices being reasonable.Since the place is small, expect to wait especially on the weekends. I will be back for more and see if the flavors remain the same...

Every single dish I ordered was a hit and the customer service was also great!We ordered:Cold sliced ox tongue: 10/10 tongue was tender, slices of cucumber were the perfect compliment, and the sauce was so well balancedPork xlb: 9.5/10 nice classic pork xlb with a generous amount of soup, these were some of the soupiest xlb I've had in the states and I loved itCrab and pork xlb: 9.5/10 I'm always a fan of the crab and pork xlb over the regular pork but I can say for sure that Shanghai Taste's crab and pork xlb beats Din Tai Fung's in terms of flavor.Sheng jian bao: 9.8/10 my forever favorite - executed extremely well with SO much soup. I poured out a whole spoonful of soup and absolutely loved the flavor. Knocked off 0.2 points because the meat inside isn't much but I honestly wasn't mad about it.Overall, so happy to have found my new go-to spot for shanghainese food in vegas!

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

Best Answer It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

Best Answer Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

Best Answer Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?

Best Answer Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

What happens if my bid expires unanswered?

Best Answer Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
